Zodiacs Old and New - Signed!

Post by jyotirvidya » Mon Sep 18, 2017 3:37 pm

Greetings Sidereal community,
While this might not be an appropriate venue for this post, I have in my collection a very unique copy of Zodiacs Old and New, first edition (Llewelyn) that is signed by Cyril Fagan which I thought might interest you.
Further, it was postage-stamped from Ireland, inscribed, and sent to Dr Walter Koch (hence a slight bend in the paper which appears to have served as its own envelope to Germany). Koch has annotated it throughout, and on the back cover has written notes on the horoscope of Garth Allen. Truly a piece of sidereal history!
I have treasured this book for a few years, but realize that it will probably mean more to one of you than myself (a tropicalist!). Please contact me via this post if you are interested in making an offer. [Edit: I thought maybe there were DMs on this board; please email me humhumhum@gmail.com if you are interested). Thanks]
Either way, I hope you enjoy the images I am including here from the front and back cover. And again, please forgive the commercial post, but I hope the rightful owner is out here somewhere :)

That book has quite a pedigree! It would be a real treasure for someone, and Koch's annotations might be of historic importance. (Are they in German or English? The former, I suspect. (I can't read the back cover.)

An interesting aside: Despite the pathways it travelled, this is the American edition (the original from the Llewellyn Foundation), which had a green cover. The London edition had a pale blue cover. (I used to have both, and the bother were stolen; I replaced the American edition). There are other small differences in the two editions.

Yes I agree that the notes are of importance - in German and though I am somewhat literate in that language I can't make out much of his writing :D
I noticed the British edition has a pullout map, can you confirm whether your American edition has that map (this one does not). Thanks!
