Re: Time Matters 0.6.0a Alpha Pre-Release - Windows

I've been trying to get TMSA running for a while. I finally got the program to open, but for some odd reason, the installer is not installing the default chart/options files, so I can't create anything.
Is it possible that one of you could send me a copy of the default files that it needs to work ...

Re: Krakatoa

Thank you Jim, I was sure I had read something like that (even though the 3-part article was before my time). And yes, I have your essay open on the other monitor right now.
Thanks again.

Krakatoa

I've been unfortunate as far as keeping old magazines and books are concerned - only a small group of those have survived to this day, so they are treasures to me, and today I'm on a treasure hunt.
My question is about the Eruption of Krakatoa - didn't Donald Bradley (Garth Allen) do a piece on it ...

Re: Time Matters 0.5.0 full release (current release)

Here's an example. I stopped trying for a while, and cut out some time for installation and building a new set of client files today, but this is what I got. error.jpg
It wouldn't even install at first, because it said that I didn't have access to the directory (my temp/appdata etc.) so I tried to ...

Re: Time Matters 0.5.0 full release (current release)

Thanks Mike & Jim. I took some time to work on it today, but didn't get results - in fact, the install failed when I clicked "Finish" - I don't know how to upload errors here, I did make an image of one of the errors I got trying to launch the program but I couldn't find a way to insert it into this ...

Re: Egyptian Terms

Here's a hint. The Egyptian Terms were not used in any of the resources I could find for character delineation. They were used for measuring the length of time the 5 planets spent as indicators of the primary directions of the Sun, Moon or Ascendant. The idea that they could add or subtract from a ...

Re: Time Matters 0.5.0 full release (current release)

Yes. But every time I reinstall (I think it's been 3 times) it's participating in the wrong behavior. I think it may have something to do with (what we used to call) "the registry" because when I delete the current installs TMSA still has the behavioral logs from the older ones. I could be wrong ...

Re: Time Matters 0.5.0 full release (current release)

OK, I'm having the same kind of errors as Venus_Daily above. 3 messages about them, and then the system crashes. I've reinstalled the program twice using the repair and remove options and keep getting the same result. The program will show a previously created chart but will not calculate or ...

Oh that's cute! Never thought of a backdoor hack! I might try that with 10 degrees of the Moon for my upcoming Return in August!
Thanks.

And yes, the NSRD's are the Decilia.
Thanks for your reply Mike.
I've been out of the loop with the Sidereal community for several years because of other well-paid work, so I understand your situation totally. And yes, I'm doing the Novienic returns and their Decilia in a round about way by getting ...

Re: Angularity Calculation in Astrology Software

Yes, I got that; I'm not looking for all of them, just the ones coming from angular planets in the Solunars to return angle/radix planet combinations. I'm kicking the PVL column off the sheet for now, and focusing on the Solunar Vertex and AVx planet combinations to them in azimuth, and others in ...

Re: Angularity Calculation in Astrology Software

It came to me why there are no transits (I meant that to mean between planets in Solunars) to Prime Vertical Longitudes. I can see significant Prime Vertical Parans as features of the Solunars, but not otherwise.
But I'm still interested in how the ML's work and if their planets can enter the ...

Re: Angularity Calculation in Astrology Software

So if I list (and calculate using a spreadsheet) all the key midpoints in the Radix (using my local chart instead of the birthplace) using PVL, RA and Azimuth, I should come up with a number of mundane halfsums that will respond to the Solunars cast for my current Longitude and Latitude, correct?
I ...

Re: U.S. Ingresses Jul 20 - Aug 17, 2024

Thanks Jim. This is exactly what I saw in his returns that made be think he would drop (or be forced) out.
I once gave a presentation on Edward the 8th for NCGR, based on his return and Enneads which were very precise about the Saturn-Neptune hard aspect.
I used Bradley's interpretation (from ...

Thanks Jim, that helps a lot - every little piece of evidence can help avoid a wrong conclusion, but too much can make it easy to lose the thread.

Do we have a chart for the Democratic Party?

If not, will the cardinal ingresses do for my purposes?
The reason I'm asking is that I found a report that Joe Biden may very well decide not to run, and there is a good chance that the Democrats may be forced into a "Brokered Convention" in which someone else (maybe Gavin Newsom, the Governor of ...

Re: Time Matters 0.5.0 full release (current release)

Well, it's a personal version of Win 10 pro, and I do get the security message when trying to install (I think I started my install series back on TMSA 4.2), but I just tell it to run anyway. I don't have Norton installed and almost everyday I get junk mail trying to claim I am interested in McAffee ...

Re: Time Matters 0.5.0 full release (current release)

Re: Time Matters 0.5.0 full release (current release)

How are you converting the tables of position, aspects, cosmic conditions etc. into readable tables?
I've tried several ways to import the data into Excel, and the only ones that work (manually converting the rows into a CSV format) are very time consuming - almost as time consuming as counting ...

Re: Angular Mars project

Sorry I'm so late to the game, but I am also an Angular Mars person, with Mars 1d24m from the MC of my birthchart. It is also within 2d of a perfect square from the AS, and consequently very close to the Zenith.
I think it should be mentioned that I studied Martial Arts for years and am (at least ...
