Re: Family Natal Charts Revisited

Post by By Jove » Sun Apr 01, 2018 11:42 am

Thanks to Jim for all the summaries of planets, aspects, and signs.

My Natal Chart:

Aspects:
Sun 1° sesquisquare Jupiter
Generous, kind, warm, amiable, upbeat, tolerant. Visible self-confidence. Strong need for acceptance and friendship. A general dislike of problems (seems to float through life with amazingly little care for circumstances). Lucky: confident the universe will bail them out, problems usually resolve remarkably easily, but has a hard time persevering against real adversity when it finally strikes. (Extravagant, prodigal, loves leisure, overly reliant on luck.) Mind is philosophical or religious.

Moon 1° conjunct Neptune
Sensitive – often too much! Tunes into others on an emotional (psychic?) level: can be deeply understanding, genuinely sympathetic, but also emotionally (psychically) vulnerable, easily wounded, with abiding fears of rejection. Self-defense through avoidance (non-confrontation) & slamming shut senses & good sense. When wounded, withdraws & introverts (often with excessive rumination, imagination working overtime, worry, moodiness). Drawn to the imaginative, surrealistic, and creative. Genius, if present, coexists with deeply, visibly disturbed character.

Moon 1° sesquisquare Mars
Active & reactive, temperamental, thinks & acts rapidly. Detests idleness, rarely still. Driven, competent, ambitious. Impatient, acerbic, irritable. Too frank & sharp-tongued (hence friction in close relationships). Needs physical, emotional, & mental “room to breathe” (little domestic instinct). Substance abuse not uncommon. Sexual needs strong, almost irrepressible (the women are often real sexual firecrackers, notable for the speed and intensity of their climaxes).

Moon 4° sextile Pluto
Bold & forthright, questioning & challenging, maverick & alien; independent, “marching to a different drummer,” resisting authority. Avoids habitual conformity (rebellious?); resists conventional conditioning and being made to concur with others’ values and codes. Restless, unwilling to be still for long, can uproot or take to the road on little notice. Deeply inquiring into existential mysteries, often igniting remarkable intuitive insights.

Mars 2° sesquisquare Neptune
Obsessive, concentrated, with enormous psychic power to fascinate and move minds and reality, in a thriving life of high-drama. Requires rapid conformity of reality to his wants (and usually gets it); surges into temptation; impatient with frustrated gratification, yet often can mobilize great stamina for long-term vision. Imagination and emotion are supercharged; thrives in conditions of stirred passion. Evangelical enthusiasm for interests and convictions. Can compel a nearly religious following, as if by pure will. Aggressions can be dramatic; unresolved anger patterns trigger in response to frustrations. High IQ; can be manipulative. Sexually magnetic yet wrestles with sexual demons and doubts. (This aspect is most comprehensively expressed by high dopamine levels and dopamine-driven behavior.)

Angularity:
AC 4° trine Saturn
This person needs to be totally self-reliant, to stand on his own two feet, look the world in the face, and dare it to knock him down. Perhaps he recalls his childhood, and indeed most of his life, as a time of hardship. This is because the Saturn personality emphasizes in his own mind the negative side of a situation until he learns that no one will help him if he does not first help himself. Unless he overcomes strong feelings of inferiority, he restricts his own freedoms and limits his own happiness. The self-preservation instinct is strongly marked in these self-protective individuals. Often this causes them to shut others out of their lives emotionally, relating only on a cautious, reserved level. They seek out that which is stable, proven, and sure, hence their conservatism in the practical matters of day-to-day living.

MC 2° sextile Sun
Generally indicates narcissism; but mostly they are a strong, positive bunch. Egoic energies appear to be much more dominant and obvious with Sun on MC/Asc than IC/Dsc.

[If born with Sun angular] ...he will tend to forge a path for himself in life as he itches to rule and command others. If... he is born when the Sun is remote from the angles, these qualities will not be obvious and may even be absent.

If the natal Sun is foreground and the Moon in the background the native will be a self-made man, determined and possibly ruthless. This is especially noticeable when the Sun is [in a Hub constellation] when he may heed no counsel other than his own.

MC 4° square Mars
Competition is the major trait of Mars, for these people constantly seek to prove themselves in battle, be it in war, in athletics, verbally, mentally, or any other way they can demonstrate that their skill and power are greater than those of another. They are physically motivated, needing to expend energy. Sex drives are intense and jealousies dominant. The Mars person needs room to move, for closed places or conditions stifle him. He is impulsive, often reckless with his own safety (especially if Saturn is not pronounced in the chart). He has courage, including the moral courage to defend his own beliefs. Manual and mechanical skills are normally present. He has a fiery physical constitution and the need to achieve a position of dominance and control over others.

Signs:
Sun in SAGITTARIUS (Spoke: Jupiter)
Social elitism, aristocracy. Excellence, quality. Higher & higher, ambition, travel. Judges self & others, may fail own standards. Right-wrong, reward-punishment, belief- & values-driven. Respects continuity of culture & social rituals. Preserves status quo, heritage, myth when possible. Loyal to tribe. Complacent affection.

Moon in SAGITTARIUS (Spoke: Jupiter)
Higher & higher (ambition, spiritual aspiration, flight). Optimism (adapting with positivism). Courteous, gracious, natural hosts. Seeks to impress (needs validation, approval). Devoted to ideals & values (political; nationalistic, tribal; loves history). Dramatic (actors). Mercenary. Strong family ties.

Mars in TAURUS (Hub: Moon, Venus)
Artists, musicians. Tender, responsive, humane. Mystic instincts attuned to love. Sexually attractive, romantic soul, sensual (sexually popular?). Women often tough, competitive, comfortable with assertiveness. Men often second-guess themselves, perhaps a little lost, ambivalent about aggression.

Jupiter in Cancer
Significantly high: generous, devoted, authority
Significantly low: poet

AC in Taurus
Generally reliable, helpful, salt-of-the-earth, and sweet. Even in conflict they tend to be remarkably clean in communication and very up front and friendly about it

MC in Aquarius
Significantly high: Ambitious, charming, poet
Significantly low: Sensual, passionate, mystic, pessimistic

Dignity:
Jupiter in exaltation in Cancer
Mars in detriment in Taurus
Mercury in detriment in Sagittarius
Pluto in detriment in Libra

Chart Patterns:
Stellium in Sagittarius
Yod of ASC, Pluto, and Moon
Waxing Crescent Moon
Moon has the most aspects
Sesquisquare aspect most common

Re: Family Natal Charts Revisited

Post by By Jove » Sun Apr 01, 2018 11:59 am

Mother Natal Chart:

Aspects:
Sun 0° trine Pluto
A “law unto themselves,” “the exception to the rule.” Little respect for arbitrary expectations. Antiauthoritarian, needs to be free from arbitrary or incompetent control. Comfortable as “outsider” or “congenial bad boy.” Often seems aloof, unresponsive, but rarely harsh; usually kind, “live and let live.”

Sun 0° square Jupiter
Generous, kind, warm, amiable, upbeat, tolerant. Visible self-confidence. Strong need for acceptance and friendship. A general dislike of problems (seems to float through life with amazingly little care for circumstances). Lucky: confident the universe will bail them out, problems usually resolve remarkably easily, but has a hard time persevering against real adversity when it finally strikes. (Extravagant, prodigal, loves leisure, overly reliant on luck.) Mind is philosophical or religious.

Sun 1° sextile Neptune
Self-view is unrealistic or disproportionate (excessively poor or grand). Nurtures an air of secrecy or mystery. Love of drama, music, fantasy, mysticism, general surrealism. Active imaginations. Potential to move and inspire others if they acquire focus & perseverance. Sensitive to ambient physical & emotional impressions; exaggerates the “feeling tone” of a time & place.

Sun 3° semisextile Venus
Charming, gentle, fine companions. Strong sense of friendship and natural affection. Graceful. Marked aesthetic appreciation (if not artistic talents). Most comfortable in marriage or similar relationship. (A little vain?)

Moon 1° square Saturn
Proud, self-made. Dynamic, hardworking, persistent, self-driving. Encourages growth in others (expects them to do something wor-thy of their abilities). Usually emotionally reserved, private. Defi-nite tendency (often unconscious) to seek total control of situations & relationships. Parent-themed issues (nourishment-deprivation, etc.) to work through. Judgmental (intolerant). Can be pessimistic, distrustful, little self-confidence, passive-aggressive, feeling inferi-or, anxious, depressed. Many enter religious or social work for mixed motives of service, self-immolation, and seeking control.

Moon 1° semisextile Ouranos
A specie of genius (intellectually rebellious, roving, curious, investigative) is bursting to express itself – not wholly comfortable accepting outside guidance, often wondering why others don’t recognize its nature. Inquisitive, original, futuristic, seeking novelty & needing variety (“will try anything twice”). Free-spirited: psychologically lives outside of convention; but subject to tensions and stiffness from emotional stress.

They all have an intellectually rebellious streak, curious, investigative, but many are not comfortable accepting someone else's direction or guidance.

Moon 2° sesquisquare Mercury
Intellect fused with the emotions, especially with subconscious patterns; thus, quick at assessment, intuitive, strategic (cagey, deceptive). Personality dominated by intellect & nervous system. Tremendous mental output & capacity to absorb knowledge (apt at languages, good memory). Can seem ‘all business’ in emotional matters & emotionally stubborn in factual ones: Under duress, “reasonableness” competes with reactive emotion.

Mars 0° trine Saturn
Struggle marks these lives, sometimes from early (physical or psychological) hardship, sometimes from prejudice. Some (activists) struggle for something, others struggle only against. All are hardened, tough survivors, self-sufficient, maneuvering for control, who seem to make everything harder than necessary. Three typical types are those who (1) accept the hardship and focus most on “getting through”; (2) act meek, frail, gentle, inoffensive; (3) overcompensate as bullies, pushing around those weaker than them. Suppressive experiences leave feelings of weakness, shame, and inadequacy they ultimately need to heal. Conflicts especially with father-authority equivalencies. Most are serious and reserved, cautious about enthusiasms.

Mars 1° trine Ouranos
Uncompromisingly individualist (but rarely ungraciously so). Bold, often stand out as highly distinctive characters in their circles. Natural rebel, challenges prevailing thinking, brutally honest. Always into something new, often offbeat. Takes risks psychologically (sometimes physically). Industrious, resourceful, shows initiative. Mentally quick, not necessarily intellectual; knack for astute assessment of situations, analytical, mechanical instincts. Sexually uninhibited, enthusiastic (lifestyle may challenge social standards; actions may challenge the world to try to stop them). Trusts own instincts more than outside advice.

Angularity:
AC 1° sextile Pluto
Pluto people are the loners of society, those unique individuals who refuse to melt into the mire of custom. They are the exceptions to the rule, writing their own codes of behavior if necessary. In order to escape constant persecution for being "different" from the masses, they draw within themselves and remain remote from the rest of the world. They are not essentially shy, but rather just do not wish to be bothered. Unless Pluto is afflicted, these folks are gentle and inoffensive, but may leave themselves open to abuse in some form. Though formal standards are generally disregarded, they have a strong faith in human dignity and will not tolerate inhumanity or unfair practices. They are individuals in constant search of meaning, agnostic because they attach themselves to no formal faith, yet possessing a deep spiritual potential for understanding.

AC 1° square Jupiter
Positive, optimistic, and oriented to what is good and qualitative in life, the Jupiter person is ever trying to improve himself and his conditions. He is very likable, generous, congenial, and tolerant of others because, more than anything else, he wants to be liked, wants to be a success, wants to be important to someone. He supports the status quo and what is "proper" because it gets him what he wants. He has a way of "selling himself" to others. Luck seems to follow him through life. Is it any wonder he is good-humored, self-assured, and the champion of fair play (provided Jupiter isn't afflicted)? He carries an air of superiority, yet only becomes disgusted with less elegant types when they seek to upset established practice or violate his moral code. Jupiter invokes a fondness for ceremony, if not a specifically religious or ritualistic predliection. (ADD: Role-conscious, judgmental.)

AC 0° trine Saturn

DC 1° conjunct Sun

IC 3° conjunct Moon
Amiable, many friends, simple, good company, good-hearted, accommodating, disorderly, absent-minded, generous, imaginative, easily influenced, fashionable, worldly, nonchalant, poetic, dreaming, obliging, rather snobbish, superficial, tolerant.

Should the Moon be angular especially in one of the weak [Spoke] constellations... and the Sun cadent, the native will be weak, having little stamina and swayed by the opinions of others.

Signs:
Sun & Mercury in Sagittarius
Social elitism, aristocracy. Excellence, quality. Higher & higher, ambition, travel. Judges self & others, may fail own standards. Right-wrong, reward-punishment, belief- & values-driven. Respects continuity of culture & social rituals. Preserves status quo, heritage, myth when possible. Loyal to tribe. Compla-cent affection.

Moon & Pluto in Leo
Emotions intertwined with pride. Strong, noble, proud, natural leader, courageous, confident, practical, effective, indomitable. Dramatic; seldom pretentious. Gregarious (court of friends & admirers). Entertainer. Discriminating in romance. Needs warm, affectionate interaction; may retain aloof mask. Business over sentiment.

Jupiter in Virgo
Significantly high: mystical, imaginative
Significantly low: witty, authority, devoted

A number of "gay icons" have this placement, including Cher and Bette Midler - to which Divine could be added (and, for that matter, Pres. Buchanan).

AC in Gemini
Significantly high: Poet, ambitious, energetic, charming, profound
Significantly low: Romantic, impassioned, mystic, pessimistic, sensual.

MC in Aquarius
Significantly high: Ambitious, charming, poet
Significantly low: Sensual, passionate, mystic, pessimistic

Dignity:
Mercury in detriment in Sagittarius
Jupiter in detriment in Virgo
Venus in detriment in Scorpio

Re: Family Natal Charts Revisited

Sister Natal Chart:

Aspects:
Mars 0° conjunct Jupiter
Exalts strength, competition, and conquest with a zest for living. Common for successful competitive athletes; in most others, it shows vitality and enthusiasm for bringing an ever-improving “personal best.” Confidence in their own strength adds impermanence to any defeats. Morally, if not physically, courageous. Enterprising, resourceful. Sexually, both men and women are ardent, lusty, eager, popular, on the hunt. “Money to burn” (generous or extravagant; rarely holds onto cash for long; seems confident in the stream of resources). Aggressive in their beliefs, evangelical in their lives (irrepressible enthusiasts, missionaries, barnstormers of doctrine or other interests).

Mars 1° trine Mercury
Mind is high-powered, quick, dynamic, strategic. Physical and mental responses are both fast. Forthright, candid, speaks directly, independent of thought, enjoys a good argument (mental/verbal competition). Pre-dominantly a creative type. Quick wit, edgy sense of humor. Talent with hands. Prone to irritability, nervous frustration, fault-finding, obstinacy, opinionation. High vulnerability to addiction.

Mars 3° sesquisquare Moon
Active & reactive, temperamental, thinks & acts rapidly. Detests idleness, rarely still. Driven, competent, ambitious. Impatient, acerbic, irritable. Too frank & sharp-tongued (hence friction in close relationships). Needs physical, emotional, & mental “room to breathe” (little domestic instinct). Substance abuse not uncommon. Sexual needs strong, almost irrepressible (the women are often real sexual firecrackers, notable for the speed and intensity of their climaxes).

Moon 4° sesquisquare Mercury
Intellect fused with the emotions, especially with subconscious patterns; thus, quick at assessment, intuitive, strategic (cagey, deceptive). Personality dominated by intellect & nervous system. Tremendous mental output & capacity to absorb knowledge (apt at languages, good memory). Can seem ‘all business’ in emotional matters & emotionally stubborn in factual ones: Under duress, “reasonableness” competes with reactive emotion.

Angularity:
AC 0° sesquisquare Mercury
A large percentage of angular Mercury people I know are surprisingly easy to offend. Their response isn't to become overtly emotionally reactive so much as just to vanish. I'm still trying to put my finger on the exact mechanism here. A few (not the majority) are just plain touchy. Most seem offended primarily at the idea that someone got a fact wrong about them, and aren't necessarily emotionally sensitive to the remark. Most are just plain hard to read about whether they are kidding, offended, or unaffected (very little emotional affect, thus limited data on how they are reacting to something). Still looking at this one.

AC 3° conjunct Moon
Amiable, many friends, simple, good company, good-hearted, accommodating, disorderly, absent-minded, generous, imaginative, easily influenced, fashionable, worldly, nonchalant, poetic, dreaming, obliging, rather snobbish, superficial, tolerant.

Should the Moon be angular especially in one of the weak [Spoke] constellations... and the Sun cadent, the native will be weak, having little stamina and swayed by the opinions of others.

Signs:
Sun in Aries
Contradictory, contrary, oppositional, capricious. Seeks liberty, resists definition or limits. Practical, resourceful, active, impatient. Imperial, political, needs power. Poor empathy. Resents criticism. Vulnerable ego. Direct, bold with opinions. Romantically aggressive. Faithful, strong family sense.

Moon in Scorpio
Socially active party-people: good-natured, friendly, humor. Willing to be outlandish. Factually forthright; emotionally cautious (withholding); senses others’ motives. Sexual volcanoes: built pressure needs explosive release. Sexually pragmatic. Frequent relationship drama; combative. Easy to anger (it passes). Bold, adventurous, restless, "try anything." Gossip (sometimes vindictive). Beliefs likely unorthodox.

Mars in Leo
Strong, courageous, decisive, self-confident; chutzpah. Pragmatic idealist. Upbeat energy. Leap in to help (whatever is needed); takes charge as needed (autocratic?). Observant, knows what's going on, reads situations well. Sexually ardent, bold, forthright (often, but not always, the aggressor).

AC in Scorpio
I've seen a surprising number of substance abuse problems with this.

Significantly high: Authority, hardworking, methodical
Significantly low: Mystic

MC in Virgo
Personal traits include a very marked sense of personal loyalty.

Significantly high: Methodical
Significantly low: Imaginative, traveller, generous, dreaming, mystic

Dignity:
Ouranos in exaltation in Scorpio
Moon in detriment in Scorpio

Chart Patterns:
T Square of Venus, Saturn, Neptune
Yod of MC, Moon, Sun
Moon is Waning Gibbous
Neptune aspect most common
Trine pattern most common

Re: Family Natal Charts Revisited

Post by By Jove » Sun Apr 01, 2018 12:17 pm

Father's Natal Chart:

Aspects:
Sun 4° sesquisquare Mars
Action, drive, accomplishment, vitality, courage. Restless, forthright, direct (perhaps hasty, impatient, temperamental, low frustration tolerance). Strong physical aggression (for business, sex, etc.) – women especially are sexually voracious. Industrious, instinctively leads or commands, thus often promoted.

Moon 1° trine Saturn

Mars 0° opposite Venus
Passion (in all senses), feels powerfully about things. Strong sexual passions mature early, continue late, rarely encumbered by too many conditions. Broadly fun-loving, socially active, loves romance: interesting, likable, sociable, horny people. Relationships, often picked for ferocity, easily hit conflict, strain, or burnout. (More likely homicidal than suicidal.)

Angularity:
AC 3° trine Sun

MC 0° semisextile Moon
Amiable, many friends, simple, good company, good-hearted, accommodating, disorderly, absent-minded, generous, imaginative, easily influenced, fashionable, worldly, nonchalant, poetic, dreaming, obliging, rather snobbish, superficial, tolerant.

Should the Moon be angular especially in one of the weak [Spoke] constellations... and the Sun cadent, the native will be weak, having little stamina and swayed by the opinions of others.

Signs:
Sun in Libra
Relationship-centered. Polite, warm, affectionate; possessive, jealous. Enjoys beauty, comfort; often artistic. Appearance-conscious (vain). Tease (self & others: entice, deny, gratify). Peace (appeasement). Justice (righting wrongs). Shrewd, intense, secretive. Feminine thrives better than masculine. Optimistic futurist (personally, socially).

Moon in Pisces
Most truly themselves when being someone else. Dramatizes a personal fiction; "big fish" confidence (self-important, airs?). Love having a "secret side." Divas. Emotionally driven (haunted). Fascinated with the unknown. Religious thinking style. Faith, commitment to beliefs or vision. Judgmental. Hardened personal reality (stuck patterns).

Mars in Aquarius
Powerful pragmatic mind is progressive, non-dogmatic. Analytical, innovative, resourceful. Visionaries (yet pragmatic first). Bold individual, avoids automatic herd compliance. Honest, unpretentious. Follows own instincts, not advice. Gregarious, loves life, vested in friendship, helpful to friends (helper in general). Understands people. Sexually uninhibited.

Venus in Leo
"Parents" friends (= unequal relationships). Self-surrender is hard; vain, aloof. Bold when romance captures their interest (but many older bachelors). "Shoppers" in romance, testing the ground first. Early sexual mismatches (unhealthy early relationships). Strong sense of morality & dignity. Generous friend.

AC in Gemini
Significantly high: Poet, ambitious, energetic, charming, profound
Significantly low: Romantic, impassioned, mystic, pessimistic, sensual.

MC in Aquarius
Significantly high: Ambitious, charming, poet
Significantly low: Sensual, passionate, mystic, pessimistic

Dignity:
Mercury in dignity in Virgo
Sun in fall in Libra

Chart Patterns
Yod of Moon, Pluto, Neptune
Yod of MC, Uranus, Mercury

Therapist/Adopted Father's Natal Chart:
NOTE: time of birth unknown.

Aspects:
Sun 0° square Moon
Energetic, dynamic, terrific drive, forceful. A mental-emotional attitude biased toward success. “At home” with power. Intense desire in whatever they undertake. High vitality (unless the luminaries are afflicted). Sexual desires also particularly strong, passionate, though often narcissistic. Possible vanity, self-exaltation, and obstinacy.

Sun 2° semisextile Venus
Charming, gentle, fine companions. Strong sense of friendship and natural affection. Graceful. Marked aesthetic appreciation (if not artistic talents). Most comfortable in marriage or similar relationship. (A little vain?)

Sun 4° semisextile Mars
Action, drive, accomplishment, vitality, courage. Restless, forthright, direct (perhaps hasty, impatient, temperamental, low frustration tolerance). Strong physical aggression (for business, sex, etc.) – women especially are sexually voracious. Industrious, instinctively leads or commands, thus often promoted.

Moon 2° trine Venus
Attractive, charming; much sexual charisma. Gracious (ingratiating), affectionate, sensual. Fond of social niceties. High frustration tolerance. (Passive-dependent, moody, can be blindsided by strong feelings, often preoccupied with whether they are liked.)

Moon 4° trine Mars
Active & reactive, temperamental, thinks & acts rapidly. Detests idleness, rarely still. Driven, competent, ambitious. Impatient, acerbic, irritable. Too frank & sharp-tongued (hence friction in close relationships). Needs physical, emotional, & mental “room to breathe” (little domestic instinct). Substance abuse not uncommon. Most are serious and reserved, cautious about enthusiasms.

Signs:
Sun in Scorpio
Requires freedom of movement & thought, to be unfettered. Willing to rebel, be outlandish. Sharp humor. Bold; moral courage; hard to intimidate. Non-disclosing, slow to show weaknesses; collects others' weaknesses. Pragmatic, not theoretical. Favors action, abhors apathy. Phallic: Sexual volcanoes.
