A most malefic May 13 SLR for my wife.

The below link is a most malefic “outstanding incident” May 13 SLR for my wife Gayle. She has been under a transiting Saturn to her Natal Moon for weeks, but with no manifestations until last night. She asked me weeks ago when to expect the manifestations of her Moon-Saturn cycle. I told her with high probability to expect her Moon-Saturn cycle to be kicked-off with her most malefic May 13 SLR: Note SLR Saturn partile cnj SLR MC with a partile 120 to SLR Venus. This paints a most important direct midpoint picture in this SLR with Venus/Saturn = Mercury, all partile aspects. SLR Venus is partile 90 her Natal MC with SLR Neptune under a 2 degree conjunction to her SLR Zenith, with SLR Neptune partile 180 her Natal Saturn. This is a terribly afflicted SLR for my wife.

Last night these malefic May 13 SLR manifestations began with her long life best friend (a 92 old) calling my wife-- despertately asking my wife to take her to a special eye doctor in North Carolina to possibly be fitted with special goggles in order to be able to have enough sight to function in her own home, she is 85 % blind; otherwise, her two daughters are demanding their mother move into a special assisted living home. She is refusing to leave her home---it’s a terrible depressing situation for my wife and her friend. I don’t have enough details why the daughters do not take their mother to see this special eye doctor, but I have my strong suspicions the daughters are ignoring their mother’s wishes and want to rid her to a special home for old feeble people. One of her daughters lives with the mother and is supported financially by her mother, WTF? Anyway, the transit of Saturn to my wife’s Natal Moon has hit her like a ton of bricks with this nasty May 13 SLR with her good friend calling on her for help, no way my wife can navigate interstate traffic to the east coast. My wife knows the two daughters well and communicates with them a lot, but feels like she is now caught in the middle of an impossible situation.

Feel free to offer any suggestions how my wife should handle this delicate/inhibited Moon-Saturn situation.

Steve, first please give my sympathy to Gayle. This is a rough place to be.

You also underplayed another dreadful detail of the SLR that I think is as important as the Saturn: Its two main features are the Saturn conjunct her Moon AND Neptune opposite her Saturn - both on angles. The Neptune-Saturn is less angular, but it's sufficiently angular and partile.

Transiting Moon-Saturn are in 0°09' mundane conjunction. Saturn to natal Moon is 1°20'. Saturn alone is 0°02' from MC. This is a rare case where transiting Moon is more important that natal Moon: Gayle is feeling it either way, but event involves "an important woman in her environment" more than Gayle directly.

2°00' Pis - t Neptune (1°20' before Zenith)
2°53' Vir - r Saturn (2°13' before Nadir)

Neptune opposite her Saturn is 0°52' wide. This aspect, of course, is emotionally dreadful.

Besides that, she has wide angularities of transiting Venus (8°14 before Asc) and natal Mars (6°35 after Dsc). I don't know if it's important, but tVe and rMa have their midpoint 0°40' from the horizon. However, I don't need this midpoint to expect that, as much as anything, Gayle is angry - furious - at the situation.

I have little practical advice for Gayle, but this is what comes to mind: Besides the negative emotional assault, there are a couple of less obvious (almost hidden) details in the chart. The more obvious one is that Neptune's transit to Saturn often stirs a sense of conspiracy, hidden motives, and suspicions. I happen to think you're right about that the daughters are trying to warehouse their mother for their own selfish purposes but - my point at the moment - that's just my opinion. And it might be right. "Being paranoid doesn't mean someone's NOT out to get you." My point for Gayle is that the conspiracy element is more likely to hold her attention and take mental resources away (distract) from finding a practical solution. In this sense, Neptune to Saturn enhances feelings of helplessness.

In a similar vein, transiting Sun is quite background in this chart. (So are Mercury, Jupiter, and Uranus.) Again, the main thing I take from this is the feeling that one can't do anything, isn't in charge or "in the saddle" of one's life. As Bradley wrote of a background Sun in a lunar, "The Sun in any cadent house indicates a retirement of the self away from big objectives in life, so that the native content himself with passive entanglement in the skein of endless trivialities. It is difficult to be at all productive or energetic." In other words, feeling there is nothing one can do.

These are just feelings, though. Possibly there IS nothing Gayle can do but OTOH maybe there is. My point is that this chart shows profound feelings of helplessness and futility of trying to take action. Recognizing this will make it easier to see past them and have more objectivity. Otherwise, she is likely to silently start mourning the loss of her friend.

Her May 27 Demi-SLR has Neptune opposite her Saturn across the meridian, but not closely (Class 3 angularity). This feels like the Neptune-Saturn feelings linger less dominantly. Natal Uranus is most angular. There is a deeply background but partile Sun-Saturn square (not good for Gayle's health or much else) and other background partile aspects that stir angry emotions. The next SLR then has Neptune and natal Saturn within a degree of the horizon in 0°14' mundane opposition, with a foreground Sun to natal Mars. This string of lunars makes me concerned for Gayle's health.

So... while there is nothing I can do for your wife's friend... the one thing I may be able to do for Gayle is to encourage her to do everything she can to help, climb out on limbs, hurl herself into space for her friend. I think this is going to go badly and the one preventable thing is Gayle looking back on this time in regret and wondering if she could have done more. Neptune to Saturn is a good time for unreasoning self-sacrifice.

Indeed! The way I quickly worded the post makes you think I underplayed these two main features, but believe me I did not “underplay” these two themes to Gayle when discussing with her that her t. Saturn cnj her Natal Moon would fire off with her May 13 SLR. I wrote in my above post:

Gayle was fully aware of this angular Saturn-Neptune with her May 13 SLR. And believe me---after her 1 hour conversation with her friend (Dee), she deeply felt both the Moon-Saturn and Saturn-Neptune effects of this SLR---she did not get any sleep last night. She is asking me my Virgo analysis of what to do---but I told her I don’t know enough of the truthful details of what exactly is going within Dee’s family environment with her two daughters to help council Gayle. Gayle will talk to one of Dee’s daughter’s this afternoon and we will hopefully know more. Gayle’s June 9 SLR features another harsh angular Saturn-Neptune hit, partile 180 partile on the Horizon. And then on July 20 she has a very concerning Moon-Mars-Saturn hit---take a look at her mundoscope for July 20. Gayle has become so concerned over what she heard from Dee last night she has asked me to go into details about any more harsh malefics lunars in her immediate future tonight pertaining to Dee calling on Gayle’s help. It’s a serious situation in Gayle’s mind---she knew it was coming for the last couple of years and I have been telling her there was high % it would fire-off with her t Saturn to her Natal Moon in the Spring of 2023, and Boom---it went off last night big time. OK, after my wife Gayle talked with one of Dee’s daughters (Laura) last night, I now think I have a better understanding of my wife’s t. Saturn over her Natal Moon and what my wife’s near future other “outstanding incident” SLRs mean from a “timing” point of view relative to my wife’s present psychological living circumstances. Being a Sidereal Astrologer understanding the timing effects of certain SLRs helps me be in a better supportative position for my wife, and helps her to be better prepared for certain possibilities with her good friend Dee.

The two daughters have determined that Dee their Mother is in the “Transitioning” stage of dying. “Transitioning is the first stage of dying.” This may take several weeks before the actual death. The daughters (family) feel that it is best to place their Mother (Dee) in an assisted living facility. Dee has told her daughters and my wife she is not going to an assisted living facility! Since Dee’s main problem is her near blindness, she thinks if she can talk my wife Gayle into taking her to a special eye doctor in North Carolina to regain some of her sight with specialized goggles, her daughters will not put her in an assisted living facility. Laura is flying in to see her Mother today and is going to tell her Mother she will take her to North Carolina in July and if their Mother after 6 months in the assisted living facility wants to come back home---it’s OK. Gayle now understands better why her best friend Dee called her asking for help.

In lieu of me learning these new details, and since Gayle wanted me to go over her future lunars with her, I have told her there is now high % she may be facing the depressing (Moon-Saturn) death of her good friend Dee within the next few weeks. Gayle’s t Neptune partile 180 her Natal Saturn now becomes obvious that it will be the “Principle” of the “Suffering” she will be under by the possible loss of her good friend Dee. I will later post Gayle’s malefic “outstanding incident” SLRs coming up in June and July and we will see how they manifest from a timing standpoint with her good friend Dee.

I see what you meant earlier about the July 20 Demi-SLR. This one resembles the others but is quite different. I would be worried enough about this one to suggest Gayle might want to go somewhere else for July 20 (but not New Orleans, anywhere in Mississippi, or western Tennessee). The August 3 SLR looks definitive, final, life-shifting: Both Suns and transiting Pluto angular with transiting Pluto square natal Sun 0°38'M. The symbolism is repeated in the August 17 Demi with transiting Pluto setting, mostly interacting with natal Sun and Neptune: Transiting Pluto square natal Sun is 19' ecliptic and it also squares natal Neptune mundo.

August 30 SLR then is free of the recent types of symbolism, but still shows altered (absorbed, possibly depressed) state of mind: Natal Mercury-Neptune on Zenith. I know of no other astrological teachings other than your mundo angular aspects which allows the astrologer to see the true astronomical angular positions of charts. It has honed my sight of things astrological in a PHD manner.

This July 20 DSLR could offer high % of when Dee dies---IF what the daughters are saying about their Mother Dee entering the “Transitional” phase of dying is true. Who could know this for sure? Gayle took Dee to lunch last week and Gayle has serious doubts that Dee is in this “Transitional” phase of dying, but believes if she is placed in an assisted living home---Dee will soon die of grief. It’s a tormenting situation for Gayle, Dee has been like a 2nd Mother to Gayle for most of her life.

Gayle received two more distress calls from her friend Dee yesterday pleading with Gayle to help her with her plight. Dee has turned against her two daughters for trying to force her into an assisted living home. Gayle received a text from one of the daughters asking Gayle to please help and talk their Mother in going to an assisted living home. Gayle disagrees with the two daughters in spirit and believes they should provide enough care in home to allow their Mother to die at home, but Gayle did not state to the daughter her disagreement about placing Dee in an assisted living facility. Dee has lived in her fully paid for home by her Father for over 60 years. Gayle told me yesterday this situation is the most “depressing/distraught/convoluted/suffering” situation she has ever been caught in the middle of for her entire life. Gayle told Dee and one of the Daughters that this is a family matter that has to resolve itself, and that she is staying out of advising/refereeing this family matter. As an astrologer and what I would do-- I completely agree with Gayle’s decision but told Gayle she will have to continue feeling the emotional pain of this situation until her future malefic lunars run their course of time, I expect more communications for Gayle to be receive from Dee & her Daughters.

Jim, definitely Gayle’s “outstanding incident” May 13 SLR kicked-off the partile transits of Saturn & Neptune to her Natal Moon & Saturn with angularity of these two transits in her May 13 SLR. Gayle is losing much sleep over the malefic manifestations of this May 13 SLR. I just tell Gayle: let me know if I can help in anyway. But, I know/realize as an astrologer she will still have to experience the emotional pain of this malefic situation until TIME runs its course.

I don't know why home hospice care isn't an option if the daughter's are right about her late life stage. There perhaps is a reason, but it isn't evident to me from what you've written. These services have become so widely available.

I suspect she isn't obviously sick enough to qualify under SS/Medicare. This, of course, brings into question whether she is sick enough for this extreme move.

I hear you Jim, the same thoughts have crossed my mind. From what I understand, financially the daughter (Laura) who has recently flown in from Co. can well afford to provide the home care for her Mother Dee, and the other daughter Steph is living with her Mother. Both Gayle & I have our suspicions and Gayle is becoming agitated over how the daughters are handling the situation, but Gayle realizes the pitfalls with her direct personal involvement….

From here on, I will be labeling the depressing situation my wife is involved with her present malefic SLR and further up-coming malefic lunars the “Western Front.” The Western Front heated-up yesterday with a sit-down (without Gayle) with Dee, Gayle’s good friend and Mother of her two daughters Laura & Steph. The two daughters are trying to force their Mother Dee into an assisted living facility. Yesterday Dee turned very ugly against her two daughters and told then: “Hell no---no way I am going to an assisted living home”.
Laura texted Gayle and said the sit-down meeting yesterday turned into a “living hell on steroids.” Gayle has told Dee and Laura “she is staying completely out of this family matter but will be praying for a safe and reasonable solution” with this volatile angered stage play on the Western Front. Gayle asked me to look at all SSRs involved on the Western Front, I did and told Gayle it ain’t good---in fact it’s quite malefic. Jim, only if you have the time, I may ask you to look at the SSR’s on the Western Front later on. Laura told Gayle yesterday Steph is throwing furniture around in Dee’s house and is coming unglued. Told Gayle Dee is treating Steph real bad like she was a “step-child.”

I understand Gayle wants to stay out of this and leave it to the family. This probably shows more restraint than I could manage in the same situation. If she DID want to get involved (which would mean getting very deeply involved - it being her business), she could suggest Dee give her (Gayle) medical power of attorney (or even stronger). Gayle would then have standing above the daughters on matters of medical (or stronger) decisions.

Indeed Jim---no way Gayle would take this path, her Aquarius Moon is too humane for both daughters she has known for most of her life for this option, even though Gayle strongly disagrees with their direction with Dee. On the other hand, my Scorpio Moon may opt for this depending on what developes . But for sure I am keeping my nose completely out of this Western Front. Gayle is making good decisions about this matter but she still has a couple of rough lunars to deal with...I have only told Gayle if she wants my astro counsil for the players on the Western Front associted with her lunars-- she's got it. She says---so far--it has proved good council, yours too, and has helped her make her own personal/individual decisions.
