Mars in Leo

Mars entered Leo August 10, where it will remain until September 26. What themes shall we expect from this?

Were this natal astrology, I would expect the following traits:

Strong, courageous, decisive, self-confident; chutzpah. Upbeat energy. Pragmatic idealist. Leap in to help (whatever is needed); takes charge as needed (autocratic?). Observant, knows what’s going on, reads situations well. Sexually ardent, bold, forthright (often, but not always, the aggressor).

Outer planet sign passages of Leo have dealt with issues of solar force and presence being especially pronounced, and especially with issues of authority and governmental over-bearingness. Oppositional planets here have expressed as opposition to extreme authority. There has been, with other planets, acute issues of morality and its definitions. Or maybe the themes are ones that have never occurred to us before.

What can we expect - or, even better, what do we see in the news! - while Mars is in Leo?

Since August 10, the main new themes I've seen in the news are the acceleration of the Hong Kong protests to the point of closing its airport for two days plus extreme world-wide market drops and more extreme swings world wide.

I expect a theme to emerge to be the word ferocious. What ferocious things are surging out at us, if anything?

We are heading into hurricane season.
With Climate change and the hottest world temp on record last month I would think that the Ocean is almost the most ferocious thing on the planet. Plate tectonics IMO are the most ferocious, so possibly more earthquakes and possibly fires.

The etymology of ferocious is fascinating.
This may be the month we get an antidote for a major toxic event or person. I wouldnt be suprised if last months child theme carried into this month with a major unveiling of evidence of association to those crimes.

The Beast is unleashed comes to mind.
There is a new candida bacteria that is thriving in Europe because of the heat and it is resistant to treatment

I would also expect that this month we will hear news about the major finds in this summers dinosaur digs that have been working hard in the midwest. I do believe a few new species have been found as well. Dinosaurs were the most ferocious creatures to walk the earth.

I used to get so mad in the spring when I was trying to get my garden ready for planting, and the wind was so strong.....I would yell at it " quit blowing"... Never worked, it would blow harder.
Then I took a class called Environmental Geology and learned that the wind is a result of the sun and its different amounts that the earth receives during the year.
I never yell again except to say thank you. I learned instead of raking against the wind (futile) to rake with it and let it help you.
We also learned about the suns 11 year solar cycle and its influence on storms, and the economy.

I didn't get a lot out of this except what was visible at the very beginning.

It was indeed the time that the wrath of Congress started to fall squarely on the president, though I'm not sure that's a characteristic that would show. Perhaps a rejection of autocracy. In two years we can watch it again

MARS entered Leo today. It stays until September 6. Will the themes resemble eatlier times?

I believe the first few cases of Covid are now said to have been early October 2019. It wouldn't surprise me if it turned out it started slightly earlier than that, which would put it in Mars-Leo. I just thought of this because there seems to be a renewed surge of the virus in the last couple of days.
