Nong Bua Lamphu nursery slaughter

Post by Jim Eshelman »

Currently 39 deaths (including the 34-year-old perp and at least 23 children) and another 10 injuries. This has an emotional feel resembling the 2011 attacks in Norway, though the numbers were only a little more than half the 77 who died on that occasion. As it is, the 39 deaths exceed the Virginia Tech shooting deaths and would make this the #4 largest death toll from mass shootings in my catalogue.

Reuters reports that he had been in court earlier in the day (for his drug charges) and went to the nursery to collect his child. Once he didn't find his child there, he began shooting and stabbing. Then, Wikipedia says he fled the scene with his car and killed a few more people, including his wife, child and himself.
As Scales mentioned, the incident began as a nearly stationary Pluto exactly crossed EP on a day when Mercury opposed Neptune and Mars squared Neptune (both close but not partile).

Month: Caplunar (Dormant.) Moon-Pluto.

Week: Liblunar {+2 or +3}
Saturn on MC 2°42'
-- Moon-Saturn sq 3°09' PVP [slightly wider than usual]
-- Saturn sq non-fore Uranus 0°40'
Moon-Pluto sq 0°51' M

Day: Cansolar Quotidian & Transits {+2 or +3 / -2 = +1}

Day: Capsolar Quotidian {+2}
p MC sq t Pluto 0°44', s Pluto 0°25', s Sun 1°48'
p Asc co s Venus 1°06'

Tsi was going spectacularly until hitting transiting Jupiter exactly on the Cansolar angles (even with the overwhelmingly close Mars transit to CanQ Moon coming exactly to the angles). I have no "for sure" explanation of this: Nothing seems Jupiter about the event. However, we're entitled to look at transiting Jupiter's aspects to see "what kind of Jupiter" this might be. With a partile Saturn-Uranus square, Jupiter was 0° from octile Uranus but not in orb of octile Saturn. The midpoint, however, has something to say perhaps (orb 1°08'):

7°23' Pis - t Jupiter
23°05' Arti - t Uranus
8°28' Pis - Sa/Ur
23°46' Cap - t Saturn

Jupiter is also 0°47' from Su/Ne. None of that is satisfying to me, though. I am led to observe that the charts were really great until that one last aspect and, even then, the CanQ was fantastic. Either the Jupiter was a misfire or represents a piece of the event I'm not seeing.

An ex-policeman has killed at least 38 people, including two dozen children, in a knife and gun attack at a nursery in Uthai Sawan, Nong Bua Lamphu province, Thailand. It is Thailand's deadliest mass shooting, and globally the worst involving children in recent history.

Wikipedia gives 12.50PM Indochina time (GMT+7) for the shooting and 17°14′12″N, 102°09′36″E as the event coordinates. A near-stationary Pluto was squaring MC partile.

The perpetrator was dismissed last year for drug use. Reuters reports that he had been in court earlier in the day (for his drug charges) and went to the nursery to collect his child. Once he didn't find his child there, he began shooting and stabbing. Then, Wikipedia says he fled the scene with his car and killed a few more people, including his wife, child and himself.

I feel like a personal failure to the men in my life in that I was not more supportive and understanding and compassionate to the stresses they are subjected to.
