The largest, most intense tropical cyclone anywhere in the world ever, reaching 190 mph winds. 99 deaths are credited to it. At its peak, its diameter was 1,380 miles, the largest such storm on record and almost half the width of the contiguous United States.

First landfall was on Honshu, the largest Japanese island, about 69 miles south of Osaka, October 19. No time is given, but it appears to have been morning, since further develops occurred later that day as it moved across Japan and the storm degraded.

Osaka is 34N40, 135E30. 69 miles is exactly the distance that covers 1° of latitude, so we can estimate this as 33N40, 135E30. I will use 6 AM as a working time.
