Secondary Progressed Mars

Post by SteveS »

I have in my study notes from Matthew Quellas (RIP) stating that Cyril Fagan in one of his AA articles said secondary progressed Mars is a ‘hellish’ point and should be monitored closely throughout life.

Jim/Derek, can you put your eyes on this AA Fagan article about p. Mars?

That doesn't ring a bell per se; but I do remember Fagan arguing that our Mars is where we get hurt, more than where to hurt someone or something else. This stuck in my mind because it is the reverse of the normal Inside-Outside Theory approach. (I've seen it both ways: In the recent lunar return study, for murdered people natal Mars and transiting Mars were both frequently angular.)

That doesn't apply to progressed Mars specifically, though.

So you're noticing your progressed Mars conjunct Regulus and about to cross your Midheaven?

Exactly! I will be very careful with my 'actions' pertaining to any possible business activity, late in my life. I would like to take-up a personal rigorous research project relative to my life interests, but I doubt I could find the necessary data. If I do find the necessary data, I will share with forum, FWIW.

Following the thread.
My radix Mars is rather lonely and barely aspected, and now I'm in a stretch of years of Secondary progressed Mars activated by many aspects (both to s.p. and rx).

Steve, maybe you are going to build a house during that period :) I guess there is little we can do about sudden attacking manifestation of Mars to our angles... but we might be able to plan to use upcoming energies to help us with particular projects we'd like to do.

For many many years I've wanted to build a house and now seeing SSR Mars on my MC with the Sun tells me that this year might possibly be a good year for that kind of project and I love meeting other people now that are also interested in that constructive side of Mars :)

In the past year sec pr Mercury has passed by sec pr Mars and is now coming out of it's partile aspect. It has been an active period I guess, and I would say it has been constructive. It has not manifested in been aggressive/destructive in terms of fighting with people or writing.

Pr. Mars is partile square sec pr. Saturn and they have been aspected by tr. Pluto. I am not sure how to judge that, I do not think it has been personally destructive, but rather manifesting in the way that we are seeing deaths of old people in the family, so a period of mourning/grief. Next summer my pr. Moon will pass by tr. Pluto and will also aspect the pr. Mars and pr. Saturn - this happens soon after the tr. Saturn and tr. Pluto are simultaniously on my angles and that might be another period of sorrow/death or some kind of trying period. But I am not going to get overly worried about that since I see there are also many other very good aspects during the same period. Life has it's ups and downs and if we are blessed by positive aspects when those trying/negative aspects show up it might make it easier for us to get through.

To late in life to build a house, besides, we love our historical home and its location. I am so bored with retired life, I am hoping that p. Mars to Natal MC puts me into action with my life-long passion with the entertainment business—commercial theaters. Groundwork has already been laid for possible theatre action (Mars) later in my solar year, awaiting to see if developers get the financing for their planed shopping center. Maybe—that Regulus-Leo Natal MC (Career Objectives) with p. Mars approaching partile is symbolizing furthering my life-long interest in the entertainment business. If not, I will have to figure something else out for some productive Mars activity. Thank goodness for this forum—or I would have already died with boredom. :)

Oh, don't die with boredom :) just find some interesting things to do, like enjoy music and theatre as in going to events. Astrology can always keep my mind busy, but now I've also become really interested in the Fibonacci pattern in nature as well as in investment/stock market. That might be something you would be interested in Steve. Check it out on google and look at www.elliottwave.com. The cryptocurrencies are pretty interesting as well, could be a huge catalyst of change within the financial markets of the future. I guess you can always find interesting things to read about, but that Mars might get you more into action mode.

Already ‘been there and done that,’ and it definitely is an interested part of the universe, and is present in the market place. But for my market research I could not prove anything solid/reliable to hang my speculative hat on from a precise standpoint. Be very careful with anyone selling Fibonacci market advice. Believe me, most Fibonacci analysis in my days of earning income from correct market timing were dead wrong. But my glory market days are long past me with correct market timing, and every speculator has different timing windows to make $.
Check it out on google and look at www.elliottwave.com.
Also ‘been there -done that’ and found not reliable for high % for precise (the Virgo in me- :) market timing. There was an eight- year period in my life where a company gave me a large expense account to go out and find/implement the best market timing indicators available and take over their investment/pension fund accounts. Most of my income was based only on my market timing successes-- so believe me-- I did an intense amount of research on precise market timing. Most of my successes came from my Natal Jupiter/Node (fortunate) contacts from market pros who took me under their teaching wings and taught me the stuff that really worked for good market timing. A-lot of it was from market insiders who knew how to read big government doings that the public did not know how to read—combined with certain technical market analysis—really worked. But I had the luxury of TIME to seek out and intensely study—very difficult to explain on a forum—takes actual market experience to see/understand.

Exactly JSAD, hoping that p. Mars to my MC will give me a last chance to do my thing with small community Theaters in the Charlotte market. I have tons of experience building very small economical community theaters, which has really been my main business bread & butter—pure passion. Lots of innate knowledge (born into business with my natal chart) that is very difficult to explain. BTW, recently a foreign interest has bought Regal Theaters—the last of the big Theatre circuits. I think 85% of America’s Theatre Screens are now owned by foreign interest. The Chinese own most, and they have no earthly idea the American Values Americans so desperately desire in a true small community theater—makes its so easy from a competitive standpoint—and there are very few small community theaters in America. Community Theaters will eventually put the Chinese Theaters out of business, but I will not see the day when this happens. I love competing against the big guys, only if I was young again and had the financial backing and a good high-grade psychic telling me the high grossing ‘sleeper’ movies before they opened in the market place. :)

Well, WOW! We have so many similar interests, Steve.
I am very much a DIY person, so I am not buying into other's advice or sales pitches on Fibonacci. I just find it so intriguing and interesting to see this pattern emerge in so many different aspects of life. I do not count on it in my market research as being a precise point. The Elliott waves are a few different ratios and so it is a bit difficult to predict a precise point, you have to ride the wave (as in surfing) and then notice when there is a turning point. Maybe approaching it as a Virgo or with precision in mind is not the right way - maybe it is more of a bigger picture view (Jupiter) that is needed along with the ability to surf the wave and take a quick turn when needed (Mars). But I am still in the learning process, so can't make a final judgement yet. But, yes I do see what you mean about having political information as well to help you analyse.

About using the constructive element of Mars as in building - I did not confine that to building your own home, but rather as in using it to build a building ;) So that could be a theatre or some other kind of building.

Ah, I understand now. In fact, me and my colleague spent almost a day discussing a plan of action pertaining to to the right architect for the, hopefully, new Concept Theatre for their planed shopping center development. If these plans are finalized, I will post about my individual input into the architect plans, as well as a rendering of the plans.
