But for the whole country, Moon opposes Saturn at midnight; it gets closer the farther west we move, so there is great anxiety and dread of what current paths will cost us personally. Happy new year to you and your mate Jim, and all other members. I hope that Moon-Saturn Bama line is not symbolizing a loss by Alabama in college football play-offs--but it would not surprise if it was at least a part of the manifestation.

In Rvk Mercury is on IC at the stroke of midnight for the new year.
In Edinburgh it is Venus on IC.
IF you play those charts as horary astrology, yo, of course, course have to focus on the placement and aspects of the chart ruler or the planet ruling the ASC.
For Rvk the ASC is Leo using the sidereal zodiac and that means the ruler is Sun in 5th house. It is conjunct Venus, suggesting that the government will be pretty much loved in the first few months, but later in the year when the Sun moves those 9 degrees back and forth, it comes to Saturn and Pluto, suggesting some mishaps or trouble for the goverment.
In the case of Edinburgh, we see a Virgo ASC, so Mercury is the ruler. Mercury is in 3rd house, so has to deal with communications and contracts I guess.
Both those charts show the Moon coming into opposition to Saturn in about 6 time units. Usually in horary the Moon is told to move faster, so 6 time units can mean days or weeks in the case of the Moon...but sometimes more fitting with one degree for a month if in cadent houses/signs. In horary this can mean some kind of split or hurdles for the Moon, sadness or trouble. In these cases the Moon is most likely to be a big impact as the nation.
