Tinted Moon

Post by Soft Alpaca »

Don't know exactly what to title this, however think rose tinted glasses, or in my case crimson tinted glasses.

I have a Leo moon. However reading through Leo moon (on any play forms not just on this site) I notice a lack of a major ruling theme of my moon or my emotions, Leo moon almost seemed to shallow for my emotional set.

My moon being of Pluto/8th constellation, as my Pluto in Scorpio (Conj. to Chiron) contraparrells (acts as opposition) to my 8th house Leo moon. Often I do relate to Scorpio moons than even my own moon sign. Maybe that's wrong but in my mind Planets and aspects come before constellation and then comes houses, surely the house and the aspect can color the moon more than the constellation?

*Side note I did use campus house system as per this sites standards, and I do like it fairly well.*

Interested to see if others can relate or give examples of a different "tint".

All comments appreciated.

I consulted my favorite Leo Moon (who has a half-degree Moon-Pluto conjunction, even closer than your square). She advised that while she doesn't see error in the Moon Leo interpretation here, the fact that it is so brief seems to detract from the gravitas a Leo Moon feels about their emotions.

I think, perhaps, you need to add the Moon-Pluto into the picture. Here are some boilerplate interpretations for some of your lunar characteristics:

MOON IN LEO
Emotions intertwined with pride. Strong, noble, proud, natural leader, courageous, confident, practical, effective, indomitable. Dramatic; seldom pretentious. Gregarious (court of friends & admirers). Entertainer. Discriminating in romance. Needs warm, affectionate interaction; may retain aloof mask. Business over sentiment.

MOON IN THE 8TH HOUSE
Self-doubts, insecure (over-compensatingly brazen, aggressive, combative). Fascinated by death (self-destructive, taunts danger). Emotional distress, "victim complex," motivated (or driven!) by deep psychological forces.

SQUARE PLUTO Orb 1°01' Applying
Bold & forthright, questioning & challenging, maverick & alien; independent, “marching to a different drummer,” resisting authority. Avoids habitual conformity (rebellious?); resists conventional conditioning and being made to concur with others’ values and codes. Restless, unwilling to be still for long, can uproot or take to the road on little notice. Deeply inquiring into existential mysteries, often igniting remarkable intuitive insights.

Thanks. Yes I do include it, actually it is really strong almost as strong as an opposition due to the nature if a contra parallel. I've always resonated on an emotional level with the darker and stranger walks of life.

Curious though to see if anyone else has a tinted theme too.

I can't exactly explain why people think I'm a Scorpio and why I'm grouped with other Scorpios by other Scorpios, but I think it has something to to with my moon Pluto aspect.

I also run Chiron in my chart and consider a Scorpio Stellium Merc.-Pluto-Chiron-Venus (vesta, and three of the liliths are also in Scorpio). However saying this many people view it controversial or wrong, that's life however.

Again thankyou!
