Hi all,
It just occurred to me... do we ideally calculate transits to natal and solar Asc, MC, etc in prime vertical longitude, with the transiting planets precessed into the framework of the natal/SSR chart whose angles we are considering?
I always just took those transits ecliptically... and didn't think any further on it. What an "uh oh" moment I just had.
(Working on my software...)
Thank you

Re: Transits to natal and solar angles
Work with ingresses is decisive that transits to their angles (as well as quotidian angles) is in celestial longitude (except EP-WP, which only exist as RA constructs). There is no theoretical reason to think that natal charts personal returns act any differently than ingresses in this regard.Mike wrote: Mon Apr 23, 2018 11:10 am It just occurred to me... do we ideally calculate transits to natal and solar Asc, MC, etc in prime vertical longitude, with the transiting planets precessed into the framework of the natal/SSR chart whose angles we are considering?
I spend some time on the theoretical whies and wherefores in SMA.
