Buddy Holly's influence on Rock n' Roll is undeniable.
Watching his bio and performances on PBS makes me nostalgic for
those days of yesteryear. SSR calc. for his birth place.

Thanks. Here's something that would be of enormous value, with one study currently going on here:

'Do you know:
(1) The exact coordinates of the crash and
(2) Where he was on his birthday?

Ah, I partly answered my own question. The crash occurred at 43N13'13", 93W22'34".

So... any chance you know (or can find out) where he was on his birthday, i.e., where the SSR actually set up around 9/7/58?

Wikipedia says that "in September" (not sure when in September) he returned to Clovis, NM.
-- May in Clovis, NM
-- June in NYC
-- Aug 15, got married while still in NY, spent lots of time in the Village thereafter
-- There are then mentions of her accompanying him on tours, place & times unclear
-- Sometime in September returned to Clovis, but perhaps only for a short while and back to NYC soon after?

If he was in Clovis on his birthday, we have most closely:

21°11' Leo Sun
22°11' Leo Asc
2236' Leo Neptune

Natal Moon-Jupiter and both Saturns are near the angles, but not as close as these. (I haven't calculated these mundanely, which could shift the balance.)

If he was in NYC, there are "flight" themes but nothing else: transiting Moon instead of natal Moon is on MC, square natal Mercury rising.

For the accident site, we have a variation of Clovis but with everything less precise.

The crash was February 3, 1959, at 1 PM CST or a few minutes before. For the location of the crash, Buddy's natal chart had Uranus 2° from IC. For crash site, SNQ EP was 23°25' Capricorn with his natal Mars 24°22' Cancer.
