coolcoolcwr
Because it happens so rarely, I wanted to tell everyone what happened to forum member coolcoolcwr. (I've attached his horoscope below from the data he gave openly on the site: April 25, 1990, 1:00 PM AWDT, Beijing, China.)
Cool, as his chart suggests, was always contentious, belligerent, and confrontational. His independent thinking was never (as he thought) an issue, but his unkindness and eagerness to provoke a fight was often an issue. He had accumulated three formal warnings, which essentially never happens on this forum (and is much more common on other forums with which I'm familiar). People rarely come back from three warnings; rather, they most often do what cool did, which is start to drop additional provocation into every new post as if it would now be a badge of honor for them to get expelled, causing a bit more friction and unpleasantness along the way.
Last night, coolcoolcwr explicitly asked that his account be deleted. (He didn't get his badge of honor of being expelled, though he was close to it.) I unhesitantly complied. When an account is deleted, I can either leave the posts in place or remove them: I'm generally against removing them for a member with a long, participating, contributing history because we lose valuable content and it makes various threads look broken and fragmented. In cool's case, though, his posts had been routinely seeding bad feelings and conflict, and I judged he'd never made a lasting contribution of sufficient value to outweigh his belligerence, so I deleted everything and made an initial pass to clean up some of the broken threads. However, you may still find some shrapnel laing around - just let us know if you think it needs cleaning up.
I thought his chart, which he willingly shared with us, should not be lost. It is a valuable example when compared to his character.

Transiting Uranus is essentially the minute of his MC, Mars exactly square his MC, Pluto a few minutes from semi-square his Mars, but Venus was opposing hi Sun-Moon last night. (However, I suspect he would credit this change to transiting Sun trine his natal Saturn.)

My God, by his chart he virtually has to confront everybody. New Moon Aries angular, opposite Pluto and sextile Mars, all those aspects within two degrees. Not that he's incapable of civil discourse, he just has to work harder to control his anger than some of us. The Jupiter sextile to his luminaries is almost as close as the Mars and could have been a useful counterweight to the bristling antagonism of the pattern, but it mainly seemed to throw some grandiosity into the mix. How did you bear with it so long, Jim?

It's what running the site and encouraging it to flourish requires.

I get that pretty well. I've had to deal with a similar (though less extreme) individual in my Tuesday bible study. Of course I'm religiously obligated to do the patience and long-suffering thing. You chose it, my hat is off to you.Jim Eshelman wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 8:00 pm It's what running the site and encouraging it to flourish requires.

A good example of the point that double rims have a tendency of causing trouble wherever they go

This is a very good assessment. In particular I was wondering what kind of behavior the Luminary aspects to Jupiter might cause but couldn't quite figure it out, but I think you've hit the nail right on the head.mikestar13 wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 7:52 pm My God, by his chart he virtually has to confront everybody. Not always imagine an otherwise identical chart as cool's, with Venus and Mars switched. Now how does Aries/Pluto manifest?sotonye wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 8:13 pm A good example of the point that double rims have a tendency of causing trouble wherever they go

I have a hard time giving much weight to Mars in this case since we'd expect Jupiter to be at least a decent buffer, and I'd like to think that it was, which leaves his luminary signs as considerable explanatory factors for his behavior apart from maybe the Mercury/Pluto opposition. At the same time though I get what you're saying and it also makes a lot of sense to me. Maybe he would have been a lot more genial, less combative. with Mars swapped for a nice, delicate Venus.mikestar13 wrote: Tue Sep 18, 2018 8:27 pm

I think so too. Even despite all my benefic influences I still have a hard time curbing the insensitive and domineering impulses common to an Aries Sun. It's really difficult

The world could be so much more beautiful if we only could celebrate our differences.
It is not our differences that divide us, it is our inability to recognize, accept, possibly learn from and even celebrate those differences.
