Relocating Solunar Returns?
Relocating Solunar Returns?
If I have a return in one place and then travel to another, is a new return chart cast on arrival, or is the first chart still considered valid?

Re: Relocating Solunar Returns?
I'll have a better answer for you a year from now
Experience to date suggests that you need to look at both. It's not that different from a birth chart which comes into being in one location and is then relocatable thereafter.
For example, on my recent vacation my Demi-SLR occurred just east of Flagstaff with Saturn exactly on IC, and then I kept moving until I got to Milwaukee. While things kept going wrong, they all turned out to be frustrations that ended up coming up well - I wasn't weighed under Saturn for two weeks. However, still within those two weeks, after flying back to LA and then driving again to Flagstaff, I got the Saturn again in the form of being really really cold & snowed in on the trip to Grand Canyon.
Small example, but perhaps makes the point.
One of the great, life-changing romantic-sexual events of my life occurred under a Lunar Return in LA with Jupiter conjunct my Sun square Ascendant plus Venus on IC paran my Mars on Dsc. I travelled for the event to a place where Sun was exactly rising on my natal Venus-Pluto - both fit.

Wait a second it's really cool that you went to the Grand Canyon! (Minus the snowed in part)
The examples you've given shed a lot of light on the matter and I feel that in a year your current assessment will still hold. They give the hope that, if a return doesn't look too promising, one can simply leave to somewhere else. This is very good, thank you Mr. Eshelman

Hi Sotonye,
FWIW, back in my glory/young days of my Casino gambling with money to burn, I would relocate my SLR’s & Quotidian charts for lucky gambling. I can attest relocating Sidereal Astrology charts works; and, if there is anything to the old saying of “Being in the Right Place at the Time”, or “Being in the Wrong Place at the Wrong Time”---- relocating Sidereal Charts is a Key. The main problem is it takes time & money to move around the world/usa for optimum locations. The last time I relocated a Sidereal Chart (SSR) for specifically experiencing an optimum Uranus was in 2014 for a musical venue at Morison, Co (Red Rocks). I was completely blown away with the specifics of experiencing benefic Uranus which was my sole objective. There were several specific Uranus incidents I experience (a couple completely unexpectedly) in a 3 hour period, and only the Sidereal Astrologer who understands the vast importance of planetary angularity would be able to see/understand the potential for relocating Sidereal Astrology charts to experience benefic angular planets on a soul level.

Hey Steve!
This is completely amazing! Thanks for this, this deepens my understanding of the practical (and fun) uses of astrology and I can't wait to try it lolFWIW, back in my glory/young days of my Casino gambling with money to burn, I would relocate my SLR’s & Quotidian charts for lucky gambling. I agree with you 100%The main problem is it takes time & money to move around the world/usa for optimum locations.
This reminded me that I have a foreground Uranus this year, but it's not as close as I would like. Hopefully I get to travel to a place soon where the unusual benefic is more angular! I'd love to experience what you're describing. Thank you for your input my fellow angular Jupiter native! The last time I relocated a Sidereal Chart (SSR) for specifically experiencing an optimum Uranus was in 2014 for a musical venue at Morison, Co (Red Rocks). After I retired, I started going to several musical concerts a year. I had several different venues/locations to choose from across the USA. Before my birthday in 2014 I noted there was a Red Rocks venue option where if I located myself on my birthday to Red Rocks, my SSR Uranus would move very tight cnj a SSR angle. It dawned on me that on my birthday at the beginning time of my 2014 SSR, I would actually be experiencing my first daily quotidian for my new solar year, and this first daily quotidian would be a tremendous Uranian Day because of a tight cnj of Uranus to a relocated SSR angle. On this quotidian day at Red Rocks, I experienced Uranus filling my soul with several different Uranus incidents in a 3 hour period, something I had never before experience before at a musical venue--it sent goosebumps up my neck several times during the concert--not because of the music, but because of the specific Uranus incidents occurring with my senses. It was truly a very special magical moment(s) in my life---something I never will forget.
You are welcome Sotonye. Back when I first started to learn some of the methodology of Sidereal Astrology charting, I noted Fagan, our father of Western Sidereal Astrology, progressed Solar Returns. I had been mostly studying Tropical Astrology and never seen/heard of any astrologers progressing Solar Returns for specifically viewing Daily Charts with their Daily Chart planetary angles. These Daily Charts are called Quotidians. Then I realized Fagan was the original astrologer who I think invented Quotidian progressed daily charting with Solar Returns. When I was able to function a Personal Computer with astro programs, I seriously started to deeply peer into Fagan's Quotidian methods with daily chart angles for AA rated birth charts. I was amazed at times Quotidians were exactly timing 'out of the ordinary' important incidents/events in their lives. These rarely occur but when they do---it is mind blowing. I will try to remember to revisit this thread to show a malefic quotidian incident in my life which completely changed my life with a final decision to retire. This reminded me that I have a foreground Uranus this year, but it's not as close as I would like. Indeed! They are abbreviated in Sidereal Astrology lingo as SQ’s (Solar Quotidians). Most of the time, these daily SQ’s symbolizes absolutely nothing, but for rare times and ‘out of the ordinary’ incidents in our lives they have the potential to symbolize with par-excellent planetary symbolism very meaningful days in our lives, only rarely. Probably, the best way to catch a glimpse for a potential meaningful SQ Day is to always monitor the SQ Days in your life when YOU KNOW there is an ‘out of ordinary’ situation that has been scheduled on your calendar by someone/something else besides you and NORMAL scheduled days on your calendar.Whoa we can progress solar returns???? Quotidians (Daily changing angles) can be Solar Quotidians (SQ’s); Natal Quotidians (NQ’s) for an individual timed AA natal charts. Or Mundane Cardinal Solar Ingress angles labeled CapQ’s, CanQ’s, LibQ’s & AriQ’s. Of these, the CapQ is the most important with next importance, the CanQ. CapQ’s are mind blowing picking-off important world events calculated to the exact day of the event. I love using these for major championship sporting or political contests. Jim and I have recently started using the PSSI’s (A Sidereal Astrology technique abbreviated to mean Progressed Sidereal Astrology Ingresses implemented by the early Gurus of Sidereal Astrology) for Mundane Astrology.Wait is this different from quotidian angles?

Re: Relocating Solunar Returns?
We have a lot of stuff on using Solar Fire here, including several threads on qotidians or "Qs" including both natal (SNQ) and solar return progressions (which is what the quotidians are.)

Indeed, I am very passionate about Sidereal Astrology charting. It has become a huge exciting discovery for my soul life. Sidereal Astrology proves objectively to my mind “Timing is Everything.” But it took me a slow learning curve before I could calculate the Sidereal Charts with the advent of the computer and astrology programs. I was lucky, I had a Sidereal Astrology teacher who took the necessary time to show me how with Solarfire to calculate the important Sidereal Charts. Just before my first Sidereal Astrologer teacher passed away, Jim opened his solunars forum allowing me to see/learn more about Sidereal Astrology, lucky me.…you seem very passionate about this and I can feel it and it's very exciting!

Believe me, I understand Sotonye. After 20 years of studying astrology, I knew there was a huge missing link in the field of astrology which was mundane astrology, something I was deeply interested in discovering. Soon after Jim opened his Forum, he wrote a book on Sidereal Mundane Astrology (SMA) based on some early teachings/discoveries by a great Sidereal Astrologer, Donald Bradley. IMO, Jim’s SMA book is the greatest mundane astrology book ever written. It’s worth the ‘daunting’ challenge to learn when you feel ready. IMO, Jim’s book is the only book in existence which when learned will prove the Hermetic axiom: “As above, so below,” meaning—what is going on in the heavens is reflected below on earth. What you're saying about mundane astrology is extremely interesting and it is definitely the next area of this beautiful science I would like to fully master.
