New Member Looking to discuss his Chart

Post by JupitersEnvy »

Hello SOLUNARS Community,

I am looking forward to hearing about interpretations on my chart. I have attached it to this thread . I really have a lot going on in the foreground and looking for a natal interpretation and then my solar return.

Andrew, welcome to Solunars. Here are some starter notes on your chart (concise thumbnails of individual factors within attempting yet to balance them).

Notice that there isn't that much going on in the foreground. Only Mars and Pluto are foreground. Both of them (and especially Mars) are further emphasized by Moon aspects. These, in turn, amplify greatly the impact of Aries holding both your Sun and Moon. To a great extent, Aries summarizes most of what is happening in your chart; most of the rest is the Jupiter add-on.

ANGULAR PLANETS
Angular Mars (Asc 2°45')
Aggressive, competitive, challenging, needs to win (combative, quarrelsome). Seeks to test & prove self by contest (e.g., competitively, verbally, mentally, sexually). Courage (physical & moral; may disregard safety). Dominates & controls others. Physical, needs to expend energy; needs physical & psychological elbow-room. Sexually aggressive, needs frequent satisfaction. Business leadership & competitive excellence.

Angular Pluto (MC 2°47')
Social outliers needing to be authentically themselves, without labels or arbitrary standards or expectations. Eccentric, antisocial, outrageous; won’t melt into the conventional collective. Singularly unique in their context, on their own path (vulnerable to persecution). Gentle, inoffensive, innocent, shy. (If severely afflicted: cruel, unfeeling, inhuman.) Grapples with spiritual actualities.

MOON
Moon in Aries
Autonomous, independent, self-sufficient, competitive. Sentiment yields to practicality; cautious with intimacy. Sexually bold, passionate, pragmatic. Assertive (pushy), efficient, decisive, contrary, opinionated (adamant certainty). Respected, easily takes charge, leads. Business instincts, opportunistic.

Moon square Mars (0°52')
Active & reactive, temperamental, thinks & acts rapidly. Detests idleness, rarely still. Driven, competent, ambitious. Impatient, acerbic, irritable. Too frank & sharp-tongued (hence friction in close relationships). Needs physical, emotional, & mental “room to breathe” (little domestic instinct). Substance abuse not uncommon. Sexual needs strong, almost irrepressible (the women are often real sexual firecrackers, notable for the speed and intensity of their climaxes).

Moon conjunct Jupiter (1°07')
Ambitious, noble, desires success, aspires to take the lead. (Natural ‘host,’ likes to play ringmaster in all life areas including social & sexual hospitality.) Desires only the best (things & circumstances) for self & loved ones. Possible social elitism, feigned superiority, aristocratic conceit. Drawn to quality. Usually good-humored, entertaining, kind, generous. Strong beliefs (often religious or patriotic intensity, moralistic, judgmental).

Moon opposite Pluto (3°45')
Bold & forthright, questioning & challenging, maverick & alien; independent, “marching to a different drummer,” resisting authority. Avoids habitual conformity (rebellious?); resists conventional conditioning and being made to concur with others’ values and codes. Restless, unwilling to be still for long, can uproot or take to the road on little notice. Deeply inquiring into existential mysteries, often igniting remarkable intuitive insights.

Moon trine Neptune (2°21')
Drawn to the imaginative & surrealistic. Loves mystery, pursues with avid curiosity. Sensitive, empathic (deeply understanding, sympathetic; also, psychically vulnerable). Self-defense through closing senses, withdrawing, introversion (worry, moodiness).

SUN
Sun in Aries
Contradictory, contrary, oppositional, capricious. Seeks liberty, resists definition or limits. Practical, resourceful, active, impatient. Imperial, political, needs power. Poor empathy. Resents criticism. Vulnerable ego. Direct, bold with opinions. Romantically aggressive. Faithful, strong family sense.

Sun semi-square Venus (0°00')
Charming, gentle, fine companion. Strong in friendship. Aesthetic appreciation. Most comfortable in marriage or similar relationship. A little vain.

Sun conjunct Mercury (3°44')
Resourceful, knack for organization, likely will do well in the business world, effectively self-expressive. One’s ideas are (unconsciously?) equated with the ego, so altering an opinion may feel like compromising oneself. Intellectual pride, stubbornness. Strong need to identify oneself with rationality, to affirm one’s sanity and reasonableness.

MARS
Mars in Capricorn
Courage, stands own ground (prefers action to complaining). Confrontational, discontent: creates unnecessary struggle & conflict (over authority, control, father issues). Private, secretive, self-veiling. (Mysterious façade, or deceptive; to avoid control, look good, or not be found out). Much unresolved shadow; vulnerable to dark moods; carries past darkness around. Sexually forthright (strong needs + practicality).

Mars square Jupiter(1°59')
Exalts strength, competition, and conquest with a zest for living. Common for successful competitive athletes; in most others, it shows vitality and enthusiasm for bringing an ever-improving “personal best.” Confidence in their own strength adds impermanence to any defeats. Morally if not physically courageous. Enterprising, resourceful. Sexually ardent, lusty, eager, popular, on the hunt. “Money to burn” (generous or extravagant; rarely holds onto cash for long; seems confident in the stream of resources). Aggressive in their beliefs, evangelical in their lives (irrepressible enthusiasts, missionaries, barnstormers of doctrine or other interests).

OTHER PERSONAL PLANETS
Mercury in Pisces
Subjective mind: Reason & illogic at war. Attracted to the unfamiliar and vague, to mysterious, irrational things. Unusual sensitivity (psychic); highly responsive to impressions. “Soaks up” learning. Imagination, artistic sense. Enthusiasm: dives into the fray, power of persuasion. Inattentive, careless, misjudging.

Venus in Taurus
Gentle, kind. Feels intensely (moody). Lives in a romantic or fantasy world. Affectionate, devoted, desires tenderness, sympathetic. Eros dominates. Wants to enjoy love & all pleasure from its many forms. Devoted: friendship important. Indulgent, gratifies desires readily. Artistic-aesthetic. Graceful. Avoids harsh, vulgar, violent, painful.

ASPECT SUMMARY
Moon-Mars Competitive-aggressive instincts, enflamed emotions
Moon-Jupiter Optimism, fortune, ambition as adaptation, family
Moon-Neptune Sensitive, vulnerable, instinct to lose oneself in others
Moon-Pluto Anomalous instincts, emotional eruption, purging automatic patterns
Sun-Mercury Ego & intellect, identity framed by ideas, purposeful planning

Are you still living at your birth place? If so, your current Sidereal Solar Return is quite dramatic, showing very substantial uprooting and rearranging of the things that historically have defined your life. It's very much a "breaking out" chart.

Sun and Uranus are exactly conjunct on Westpoint. Pluto is near IC in moderate-orbed conjunction to Mars. On the other hand, Moon is exactly conjunct Venus and closely opposite Jupiter, connections that should take some emotional, environmental pressure off the extreme shifts.

If you don't live at birthplace, please let us know where you live currently (and, if different, note where you were on your birthday).

Helloi Jim,
Thank you for that post. It was incredible. Yes, I am currently in my hometown of Hollywood Florida. What is this meaning in this breaking out chart?
