Hopeful SLR
Hopeful SLR
I founded a startup recently and, despite that it might not feel this way sometimes, have slowly been making progress toward getting somewhere with it. What's most interesting to me is that I've never really had an executive role before but its associated temperament seems to have come more naturally to me than anything else in the world. Which is to say I'm learning rapidly what it means to successfully maintain and guide a ship toward its intended destination, and have been more inclined to do so than I have been inclined to do anything else I thought I enjoyed or wanted in my whole life! The goals I want to achieve are ambitious, and I don't want to mention everything here just yet because I would rather show than tell, but it seems that my upcoming SLR suggests that I'll soon get somewhere with all of this, and much sooner than I would have anticipated (if I'm reading it correctly).
My upcoming SLR has Venus exactly conjunct the midheaven, the Sun conjunct the midheaven within 2 degrees, and both opposing Uranus conjunct the IC. I'm assuming Venus on the midheaven suggests pleasure due to career matters, and that the sun might suggest something similar, but I'm not sure if the sun counts for anything in SLRs. The angular opposition between Venus and Uranus (within 2 degrees) might bring sudden change and advancement, and because of the tendency of the aspect to bring about the unexpected, it excites me the most.
Beside all of this is a conjunction between Mercury and Jupiter within 2 degrees, and during this time transiting Jupiter will also be opposing my natal Mercury. I have no idea what this might result in, never really seen anything like it! But I think it might bring something tremendously good for business! (I recall arena mentioning here that Jupiter/Mercury in transit has often meant money, and, since my team and I are hoping to get in front of venture capital, I can only hope she's right!)
Overall it looks like a fortunate period for the pursuit of goals, and while I'm kind of nervous about how serious things are getting, I'm also very excited! My world is changing in a way Ive never expected and so am I.

Re: Hopeful SLR
It does indeed look like a really nice month. Whether it helps with your career ambitions, I have no idea.
First, I wouldn't over-emphasize the MC = career angle. There is at least some tendency for angles to have distinctive characteristics in lunar returns, but the primary characteristic is the angularity itself. To the extent I would distinguish Venus on MC from Venus on some other angle, I'd read it as feeling comfortable, happy, and good about oneself, enhanced self-image, love and pleasure emphasized, and affection received. It's generally excellent for social events, public appearance, and shared fun.
But the main thing is that the worlds affection and pleasure needs are centered on you for two to four weeks.
When I first glanced at the chart, my first impression was that this was speaking about your personal life. It's not necessarily that narrow; that's just the impression I had from a Venus-Uranus opposition across the meridian, tightly square your natal Uranus.
That's not the whole chart, though. For one thing, though Venus looks (in the ecliptic chart) like she is exactly angular, it's actually about 3° west of MC, just as Sun is 3° east of MC. This makes them equally strong, and places their midpoint on Midheaven. This places even more attention on you, your appearance, and how your sense of identity is wrapped up in the social, pleasurable events. - Venus is 0°00' from the Sun/Uranus midpoint, also.
Uranus is a bigger deal than Venus (to the extent we can split hairs). For one thing, it's slightly closer to the angle - about 2° away instead of 3°. That's not a big difference, but Uranus is square your natal Uranus within 0°24', which makes for a friggin' big Uranian month!
There is a lot of self-redefinition going on, too. Sun is 3° before MC, Pluto is 5° before Ascendant, so that's a foreground (mundane) Sun-Pluto square. There are also some sticks in the bicycle spokes, things being harder than you think they have to be etc., since Saturn is 7° above Ascendant.
But the main thing is that Venus-Uranus opposition square your Uranus with a Sun/Venus focus of some sort.
One more thing: You won't necessarily be making the best decisions. Double-check yourself on that matter. I say this because natal Neptune is about 2° from SLR Eastpoint.
So it's Venus-Uranus + Sun most, including the Uranus-Uranus transit, Sun-Pluto square and Sun/Venus midpoint; then secondary angularities of Pluto, Saturn, and natal Neptune.

The day before my SLR I have a meeting with the same venture firm which first funded uber, and, if SLRs can be experienced a bit before they occur, maybe this is an augury for what's to come!Jim Eshelman wrote: Sun Oct 21, 2018 1:43 pm It does indeed look like a really nice month. Okay hm I'm actually going to my first Halloween party on the day my SLR begins so this makes sense.First, I wouldn't over-emphasize the MC = career angle. I didn't even notice Saturn, your description is exactly what it's like when he visits an angle. It's really hard but I've found that he does make us a lot tougher! So I'm going to try and be open to any lessons that need to be learned, which is kind of what you suggested for the other SLR I posted about. There is a lot of self-redefinition going on, too. Sun is 3° before MC, Pluto is 5° before Ascendant, so that's a foreground (mundane) Sun-Pluto square. Got it! Thank you, will doOne more thing: You won't necessarily be making the best decisions. Double-check yourself on that matter. I say this because natal Neptune is about 2° from SLR Eastpoint.
Let's see how it all plays out! Also what about the Mercury-Jupiter SLR conjunction and the t Jupiter to n Mercury opposition? How do you think those will factor in?So it's Venus-Uranus + Sun most, including the Uranus-Uranus transit, Sun-Pluto square and Sun/Venus midpoint; then secondary angularities of Pluto, Saturn, and natal Neptune.

Re: Hopeful SLR
So far this SLR has had a really rough start. There have been a lot of business related arguments these past two days, and today was even worse. They have been about determining roles in the company and who owns what portion of the shares. It concluded by mutual agreement of my role as CEO and establishing that I own 90% of everything, which is good, I got what I wanted, but it doesn't really feel good. Working this all out was hard and I hope the rest of the month isn't like this.

Re: Hopeful SLR
Transiting Neptune currently squares your Jupiter: Keep this in mind and double-check that the deals are what you think they are.
Uranus squares your Uranus, discussed above; but, more broadly, there's a lot of room in this for surprises and shaking out change. Not all change is easy.
Jupiter is sesqui-square your Venus almost exactly: I would expect it easier to keep friends right now than to lose them. Mercury joined Jupiter in that aspect today.
Oh, there was a Mars-Saturn semi-square in space today. I'm not seeing anything of yours that this obviously hits (there are a lot of charts in the world and a lot of random angles flinging around ), but the world was going to be more conflictual today. (Just ask those people in the Pittsburgh synagogue this morning.)

Oh I didn't know that we consider transiting octiles hm. How potent are they compared to the other hard aspects?Jupiter is sesqui-square your Venus almost exactly: I would expect it easier to keep friends right now than to lose them. Mercury joined Jupiter in that aspect today.
I did have a 1° sesqui-square from Saturn today transiting my mars! That might have been it + the global semi-square. Re: Hopeful SLR
Welp, this SLR is not going as expected. Despite how positive it seems, it is definitely going a lot worse than some other SLRs I've had, some of which were symbolically terrifying. Constant arguments have taken place over the business, huge changes ensued which have caused my brother to be ousted, and now a suit is being filed from him against me over ownership of the thing. Not so good. I suspect Saturn transiting my Mars might be to blame. Though, since the theme of these unfortunate matters is hard and shocking truths, Uranus can just as well be culpable. I'm not too worried about any case he thinks he can make since everything related to the business, from the very beginning, has been a result of either him copying down my words or me developing models and iterating the idea on my own, but it is pretty terrible that this whole thing has effectively ended my relationship with him.
Re: Hopeful SLR
On a positive note: Despite that this stuff is rough, I'm reminded that I grow the most during conflict and I only really shine when things get hard. I'm built for business and my self image of a soft and poetic young man, a really literary soul, is just not very accurate, no matter how much I'd prefer it be. I want to be a writer but a business is its own kind of story, and one whose development gives me a greater sense of meaning than anything I've written before.
Re: Hopeful SLR
I would like to apologize to everyone I have not responded to on here yet. I have been in something like a twilight zone lately after taking up a regular practice of ritual magick. Things have gotten really weird and I haven't been able to do much of anything except for brood. And by weird I mean I tried to talk to an elemental and I swore I could hear it. I asked it to help heal my back which had been hurting from sitting in uncomfortable positions for too long, and I could have sworn I heard it agree and tell me to leave my backdoor open through the night. I wasn't too certain about whether or not I was just imagining things, imagining what I heard, but that night, after opening the door and going to my room, the sound of falling objects rang out near where I had just been, as if someone clumsily broke into my home. My brother woke up from the sound and ran toward it ready for a fight, and I was right behind him expecting the same, but no one was there, only some fallen pens, pencils, and boxes. The next morning my back felt, well, really good. But the world seemed different. A few days later I tried to do a more formal evocation of a yetziratic spirit, and, well, all the wild animals in my neighborhood started attempting to break into my home and the all the birds began to sing and the house began to shake and I felt so heavy and tired, my ears were ringing so loudly, I felt as if I were in a strange dream. My body began to tingle and my mind began to sink and I had no bearing on time or place, and this effect has lasted for a while in conjunction with some behavioral changes I've noted. After that there have been an endless series of "coincidences," and I have no idea what to make of the world or how to begin to communicate with anyone at the moment.

Believe me, I understand Sotonye. When one experiences any kind of penetrating paranormal experience as you did, regardless of what type, just go with the flow and see where it leads you as long as you are experiencing the positive nature of things. Expect more "coincidences" throughout your life, probably tracing back to this beginning original personal experience you had with the "elemental." When one has a deep experience with the spirit world it usually puts you on a life altering path pointing you to something very important pertaining to your destiny. Just make sure you understand a brick wall is still a brick wall, and if you run into a brick wall it damn sure will hurt . No matter how we touch/see/think we understand the invisible world of the spirits, we remain in a lifetime-- in a gross material world. After that there have been an endless series of "coincidences," and I have no idea what to make of the world or how to begin to communicate with anyone at the moment.
Re: Hopeful SLR
Sotonye, your current SSR (link below), which imo, explains a-lot of planetary symbolism pertaining to your paranormal experience you encountered.
The main theme for your current SSR is Pluto partile cnj your SSR MC. There are two words which describe Pluto’s prominent action in a chart, “Shocking/Stunning” incidents, with dramatic fashion.
We see another theme with angular Uranus-Pluto dominating the main angles of your SSR. Uranus/Pluto incidents has a -lot to do with revolutionary incidents. I feel strongly your paranormal incident is timed by this Uranus-Pluto angular impact with your SSR, but wait until end of your solar year to go back and review. Pluto also has a-lot to do when there are “miracles” happening but maybe combined with Jupiter. Let us know at the end of your solar year about your back. Hopefully, that foreground Mars along with Pluto will not harm your back further. Take extra care with your back.

Be wary of leaving "back doors" open for elementals. Subconsciousness is likely to interpret that much like a computer "back door." They love to have unfiltered access to sneak in when you aren't paying attention. Excellent! Good work. The next morning my back felt, well, really good.
Of course it did. This isn't the same as asking your neighbor to water your plants. But the world seemed different.
I think you haven't been keeping up your magical hygiene. For safety, you need to set a firm standard with the universe about this. The main pint here is that if you intentionally step into a different stratum of consciousness and open your senses to it, then of course the universe is going to seem differently structured and you need to reacquire the means to orient yourself within it. This is all typical poltergeist and psyche-soma-aura realignment typical of this kind of step.
Ground yourself. Do physical things that make you feel your body. Eat much more meat than you usually do. Concentrate on the physical universe.

Hi Steve! Thank you for taking the time to give your insight. I strongly agree with you that Uranus-Pluto vibrations are the likely cause of these experiences, which have only become more regular and more exceptional since I made the post! I will let you know at the end of the solar year about my back, and will say for now that a whole host of complaints have been alleviated spontaneously from what I suppose have been angelic presences. And my back has been in its best shape in some time. I will be careful to take extra care and I ask that you take care too, we really appreciate you here!SteveS wrote: Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:34 am Sotonye, your current SSR (link below), which imo, explains a-lot of planetary symbolism pertaining to your paranormal experience you encountered.

I'll try to be more careful about this. The elemental seemed really nice so I let my guard down, it gave me the best feeling I've ever experienced before, I can't quite explain it, there's nothing analogous to it. Despite this I understand now that I should have been more cautious.Jim Eshelman wrote: Fri Nov 16, 2018 8:30 am Be wary of leaving "back doors" open for elementals. I have been taking your advice and it really has worked wonders!
