Jayme Closs kidnapping & Closs murder

Post by Jim Eshelman »

October 15, 2018, 1:00 AM, Barron, WI

13-year-old Jayme Closs was kidnapped from her home October 15, 2018, about 1:00 AM in Barron, WI. The kidnapper also shot and killed her parents. On January 10, 2019, at 4:43 PM near Gordon, WI, Jayme escaped from her kidnapper and assisted the police to immediately capture her kidnapper (who was taken into custody at 4:54 PM).

Though this is mostly a personal event - it would be wonderful to have Jayme's full birth data and be able to study the layered events she experienced - it also became a major event in Wisconsin that also won national attention. Does mundane astrology reflect an event like her orphaning and kidnapping, or like her escape? (Jayme was born July 13, 2005.)

(The time might have been a little earlier: 1:00 AM is the time the 911 call was made, with Jayme's mother still alive but faint, but neighbors reported gunshots at about 12:30 AM.)

My conclusion from the charts below is yes: They are enormously descriptive of the event as well as the broader likely impact on the community.

Transits of escape chart to kidnapping chart

Post by Jim Eshelman »

One is tempted to cite the partile Sun-Pluto conjunction on the day of her escape as being on the Westpoint of the kidnapping chart, except the time of kidnapping is a little fuzzy. We can't quite go with that. - But transiting Pluto (conjoined by transiting Sun) was 0°54' from square kidnapping Sun.

It is interesting - I can only guess the complex state of mind and emotion involved - to see that transiting Neptune had returned almost exactly and was joined by Moon and Jupiter:

18°17' Aqu - t Moon
18°49' Sco - t Jupiter
19°08' Aqu - r Neptune
19°18' Aqu - t Neptune
-- t Uranus 3°36' Ari

Also,

t Venus -45- r Pluto 0°12'

Mundane charts: Escape & rescue

Post by Jim Eshelman »

Escape: January 10, 2019, 4:43 PM, Gordon, WI
This was a few minutes after sunset with a 32' Sun-Pluto conjunction setting and Moon 61' from conjunct Neptune and 32' from square Jupiter.

Year: Capsolar {+2}
(Part of the same story.)
Mercury sq. Asc 1°16'

-- Mercury-Saturn conj. 2°26'

t Jupiter op. Cansolar MC 1°20'
t Mars op. Capsolar Asc 0°06'

Quarter: Libsolar {+2}
(This chart carried the story through the three-month captivity but doesn't show the escape clearly.)
Saturn on IC 0°15'
Moon-Mars sq. 0°06' in mundo
Moon-Mercury 0°37'

Month/Week: Caplunar {+2} (Dormant.) Moon-Neptune.

Week: Liblunar {?}
Neptune sq. MC 0°05'
Jupiter more widely foreground
-- Jupiter-Neptune sq. 2°34'
Moon-Uranus op. 2°59' in mundo

Day: Capsolar Quotidian & Transits
p Asc sq. s Saturn 1°04'
p MC op. s Mercury 0°28'
p EP op. t Mars 0°40'
-- t Mars sq. p Mercury 0°14'
-----------------------------
t Mars op. s Asc 0°06'
t Mercury op. s MC 0°33'
(I can't score this yet because we don't know how she escaped. There is a general sense of flight in these planets, but, by themselves, they tend to show something horrible and violent, as if one of them had killed the other - which did not happen. Time and more information may resolve this.)

Day: Cansolar Quotidian & Transits
p Moon-Saturn sq. 0°18'
p MC sq. s Venus 0°22'
-------------------------------------
t Neptune op. s Asc 1°28'
t Jupiter op. s MC 1°20'
-- Jupiter-Neptune sq. 0°29'
(This one is more convincing of a happy event, though still obscure without more details.)

Jayme Closs charts

Post by Jim Eshelman »

Jayme was born July 13, 2005, time unknown, Barron, WI

She is a Gemini-Virgo (mercurial double Spoke) with Sun partile conjunct a Pisces Mars and Moon probably conjunct Jupiter. Mercury conjoins Venus closely and both oppose Neptune.

For the kidnapping, the strongest outer planet transit is Saturn, recently finished semi-squaring her Neptune, now sesqui-square her Mercury-Venus. (Motives are entirely unknown, but "bad choices" seem to scream from these transits.)

She was kidnapped with transiting Sun exactly opposite natal Mars, square natal Sun. Depending on time of birth, this might have been within minutes, though it was partile in any case.

For a noon birth, progressed Moon for abduction was 24°42' Pisces, about 2° short of conjoining natal Mars and squaring natal Sun. I think the odds are very great that she was born approximately 2 PM to make this Moon contact - natal Sun-Mars = progressed Moon = transiting Sun - exact for the event.

Progressed Mars was square her Saturn, probably within minutes of exact.

Her SLR before the abduction occurred the day of a nearly partile Venus-Mars square, a reasonably close Mercury-Uranus opposition, and a moderately-orbed Sun-Moon conjunction. (I notice in passing that a birth time of 4:30 PM would put Saturn on MC of this chart paran a setting Moon-Sun-Venus mundane conjunction.)

Her 2018 Solar Return had a Sun-Pluto opposition and a possible Moon-Mars opposition, both of which are fitting. Nothing obviously tied to her natal.

For her escape, the exact Sun-Pluto conjunction (setting when she escaped) was opposite her Sun and square her Mars - the Pluto transit was partile unless her birth was in the last hours of the day.

Depending on her birthtime, transiting Saturn may have squared her Moon. While this is probably not suitable for the escape, Saturn at least would have squared her Jupiter and possibly her Moon during her time of captivity. For the 4:30 PM time I'm playing with, Saturn was square her Moon 0°36' at her escape.

Jupiter has no transits unless the time I'm playing with is right, in which case it was exactly on her EP for the escape.

Another interesting feature of this 4:30 PM speculative time is that progressed Moon is at 0°28' Aries. That is (if the time is approximately correct) she had moved from a Pisces cycle - captured, victim, likely bound, etc. - to an Aries cycle of initiative and daring (one might guess). This is just idle thought, premature until we know more about the story of course.

Her Lunar Return before escape occurred a day when the only close aspects were Jupiter square Neptune and Moon square Saturn. We can't tell a lot about this without a time. If the 4:30 PM time is approximately right, it puts Uranus on one angle and Venus on another.
