2019 SSR for Lance's Friend - CFS

Post by Lance »

CFS - Female
Jan 15, 1986
Orange Park, FL
8:24 PM
SSR Relocation: Krum, Texas

I'm working on a pretty basic level, trying to get the hang of this.

Transiting Planets on Angles:
t. Uranus on IC 2°36’ in mundo
n. Neptune on ASC 3°16' ecliptical
t. Saturn on ASC 4°09’ in mundo
n. Mercury on ASC 8°10' ecliptical
t. Mercury on ASC 9°03’ in mundo

(Regarding the above: I can't figure out how to view natal planets on SSR angles in Solar Fire 9 unless I use the ecliptical SSR chart as the inner wheel and the birth chart as the outer wheel. Is this correct? Best way?)

Aspects between foreground planets:
--n. Mercury conj t. Mercury 1°28'
--n. Mercury conj t. Saturn 2°50'
--t. Mercury conj t. Saturn 4°18'

Lunar Aspects:
--t. Moon square n. Jupiter 0°50'
--t. Moon trine t. Pluto 1°46'
--t. Moon trine n. Venus 2°20'
--t. Moon opp. n. Mars 2°42'
--t. Moon trine n Sun 3°12'

----------------------------------------------------

She recently opened her own massage business. I can't help but see this as related to that and indicating a period of struggle ahead as she dreams big and struggles amid limitation to make the business viable. I want to be able to say, "But next year looks awesome!" But next year looks only minorly better. The SSR for 2021, however, has Jupiter coming into the mix, but with Mars and Saturn as well.

How am I doing? Any feedback or comments?

Let's go step by step through this.

Her new SSR occurs January 16, 2019, 6:25:52 AM CST. For Krum, TX I have 33N15'41", 97W14'16". Calculations will be based on these numbers.

t. Saturn on ASC 4°09’ in mundo
n. Mercury on ASC 8°10' ecliptical
t. Mercury on ASC 9°03’ in mundo
I get:
t Sun sq. MC +0°45'
t Uranus on IC -2°37'
t Pluto on EP +2°02' (this is measured in RA)
t Mars sq. Asc -2°33'
t Saturn on Asc -4°09'
t Mercury on Asc -9°03'

Convention is to put the natal chart on the inside ring and the SSR on the outside ring, since natal planets represent the "inside" initiatives and responses, and transits (including return charts) represent "outside" (in the world) initiatives and responses.

Calculating ecliptically will serve you well enough much of the time, but we have a tool that will help you do it exactly - an Excel spreadsheet that takes the natal planets, precesses them to the date of the SSR or SLR, and places them in the return chart's mundoscope. It's pretty cool! You can get it and instructions here:
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1544&p=17452

In your friend's case, I get the following (Moon, Sun, and Venus are ecliptical):
r Sun sq. MC 0°45'
r Venus sq. MC 1°37'
r Moon sq. Asc 2°32'
r Neptune on Asc +3°39'
r Mercury on Asc -7°48'

In order to make finding aspects easier (and comparing relative angularity), let's merge these two lists into one full list of SSR and natal planets. Note that some of these are ecliptical (square to MC and Asc), one is in RA (EP), and the rest are in PV longitude (mundoscope).

r Sun sq. MC +0°45'
r Venus sq. MC 1°37'
t Uranus on IC -2°37'
t Pluto on EP +2°02' (this is measured in RA)
r Moon sq. Asc 2°32'
t Mars sq. Asc -2°33'
r Neptune on Asc +3°39'
t Saturn on Asc -4°09'
r Mercury on Asc -7°48'
t Mercury on Asc -9°03'

In summary, we are working with:
t Mercury Mars Saturn Uranus Pluto
r Moon Sun Mercury Venus Neptune
Aspects between foreground planets:
--n. Mercury conj t. Mercury 1°28'
--n. Mercury conj t. Saturn 2°50'
--t. Mercury conj t. Saturn 4°18'
The rule is that, of the angular/foreground planets, take either ecliptical or mundane aspects interchangeably (using the closer orb of the two; e.g., t Saturn conj. r Mercury is closer ecliptically, but t Pluto conj. r Sun is closer mundanely). Thus, with a 5° orb (fishing with a wide net):

r Sun-Venus conj. 0°52'
t Mercury conj. r Mercury 1°15' in mundo
t Saturn-Uranus sq. 1°32' in mundo
t Mercury-Pluto conj. 1°46' in mundo
t Uranus sq. r Sun 2°34'
t Mars-Saturn sq. 2°48'
t Saturn conj. r Mercury 2°50'
t Uranus sq. r Venus 3°26'
t Pluto conj. r Sun 3°35' in mundo
t Mercury-Saturn conj. 4°18'
t Pluto conj. r Venus 4°06'

Additionally (showing how the planets are conditioned):
Angular Mars is sq. non-angular Jupiter 4°37' in mundo. It's pretty wide, but worth jotting down just in case it becomes relevant in the interpretation as you go along.

Since all partile aspect are important, even though in a background fashion, note transiting Jupiter-Neptune sq. 0°28'. It's quite background, but literally "sitting there in the background" of what's going on in her life.
Lunar Aspects:
--t. Moon square n. Jupiter 0°50'
--t. Moon trine t. Pluto 1°46'
--t. Moon trine n. Venus 2°20'
--t. Moon opp. n. Mars 2°42'
--t. Moon trine n Sun 3°12'
I wouldn't worry about the soft/static aspects. My list of Moon aspects would read:

t Moon sq. r Jupiter 0°50'
t Moon op. r Mars 2°42'

So the raw data is as follows:

r Sun sq. MC +0°45'
r Venus sq. MC 1°37'
t Uranus on IC -2°37'
t Pluto on EP +2°02' (this is measured in RA)
r Moon sq. Asc 2°32'
t Mars sq. Asc -2°33'
r Neptune on Asc +3°39'
t Saturn on Asc -4°09'
r Mercury on Asc -7°48'
t Mercury on Asc -9°03'

r Sun-Venus conj. 0°52'
t Mercury conj. r Mercury 1°15' in mundo
t Saturn-Uranus sq. 1°32' in mundo
t Mercury-Pluto conj. 1°46' in mundo
t Uranus sq. r Sun 2°34'
t Mars-Saturn sq. 2°48'
t Saturn conj. r Mercury 2°50'
t Uranus sq. r Venus 3°26'
t Pluto conj. r Sun 3°35' in mundo
t Mercury-Saturn conj. 4°18'
t Pluto conj. r Venus 4°06'

t Moon sq. r Jupiter 0°50'
t Moon op. r Mars 2°42'

I wouldn't call this a bad year. It's challenging, but I really like what I see in her state of mind. My (relatively quick) impressions are:

The closest angularities and closest aspect is her natal Sun-Venus. This is very much to the foreground in her life, easy to express, getting its chance to shine. The most angular transiting planets are Uranus and Pluto, so there is a lot of fundamental change going on - making life more complicated and needing management, but not inherently bad.

But then there is the Saturn-Uranus mundane square and widely-angular Mars square the rising Saturn. These are tough. Perhaps not unreasonably so for one starting a new business, though. It's a year of changing conditions that she has to keep "surfing," staying on top of it, being tough - pretty much what every new business owner goes through for a year or two.

Moon's aspects to her natal Mars-Jupiter seem to say she has a lot going for her, that she can "compete well," can keep up enthusiasm. Money flows through her fingers and remains a challenge (again: 100% expected for a new business), but her spirits are good.

And look at all those Mercury aspects! Transiting Mercury conjoins natal Mercury. Pluto ties in, and Saturn ties in more. So, first, she's learning a lot and probably doing business business business. Saturn's strong role does mean it's hard - that she (for example) isn't getting the kind of "word of mouth" she wants etc. etc. and so forth. But she's learning a lot.

Finally, don't miss the aspects to her angular natal Venus. Some intriguing changes in her personal life are part of the year, too.

Does that help?

Thank you. That is incredibly helpful.

I'll keep practicing.

https://solunars.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=13 I don't know if this is the problem you're talking about, but I think so.

YES! That's it. I actually already installed the BiReturn wheel, but I'd forgotten.

Thank you!
