Even though the 19th Century ended three weeks before, it was the death of Queen Victoria, the last British monarch of the Hanover Dynasty, that was felt by the world as the end of an epoch.
She died January 22, 1901, 6:30 PM, at Osborne House (50N45'34'', 1W16'11'') on the Isle of Wight, having reigned more than 63 years since her coronation June 28, 1838. During her term, she populated with her children most of the royal houses of Europe and saw her empire expand greatly. (Her formal coronation was a year after her reign began on June 28, 1838.) At her death, she was England's longest-reigning monarch.
The charts below are for London, as representing the entire nation. Notice that the Master Charts of both the year and the month, and the master indicator of the day - Capsolar, Caplunar, and CapQ - all remarkably show the "end of an era" symbolism perfectly.

[NOTE: The Cansolar had been predictive of what was coming. A Moon-Pluto near-partile square was anchored by Pluto 0°03' from Midheaven! Moon, the Queen herself, was 2°09' below Dsc.]
