Well, you guys aren't Sagittariuses in the Tropical zodiac either. Both your Suns are in 29º06' Tropical Scorpio.

Not that I'd rather have you continue using the Tropical zodiac of course. LOL

Amazingly, you both are Scorpio-Tauruses in both zodiacs. This would be a great opportunity for you (and us Solunars members) to compare the Sun & Moon sign interpretations of Sidereal and Tropical Scorpio and Taurus respectively, and see which you both find fits best.

And welcome to Solunars! We hope you'll have a wonderful time learning and exploring Sidereal astrology with us. 😊

Their sign positions have almost no individual effect (though they can show broad generational or sub-generational waves of effect). If they are on angles, that's an important effect, and of course their aspects with other planets (like Neptune square your Venus) are important.
...what kind of affect is there when planets are closer together? Like I see sun, Mars, then Pluto right there in libra. Also am I reading my chart correctly?
Sun and Mars are in Scorpio and Pluto in Libra. Proximity of planets is important if it is close enough, but not only the conjuction (same degree) but also other angular relationships are important. For example, close aspects (angular relationships that bind planets together in your chart include Moon-Jupiter (same degree, three signs apart, or 90°), Venus-Neptune (again 90°), etc.

I'll give you a set of notes on your chart as a starter. It won;t be an "interpretation" per se, just a series of notes on individual pieces. There will be contradictions, because we all have contradictions, but overall it should let you get a feel of what your chart expresses. - In particular, your Scorpio Sun and Taurus Moon reflect contradictions (or two strong opposing sets of tendencies co-existing in you).

Do you still live in Downey or nearby? (We might be reprising our Astrological Foundations class in LA in the next few months.)

ANGULAR PLANETS
Angular Venus (Dsc, 6°30')
Charming, attractive, popular. Friendly, amiable, gracious. Kind, considerate, benevolent. Flirtatious, affectionate (sexually more receptive than aggressive). Loving, caretaking, mothering. Drawn to beauty, pleasure, peace, tranquility (not pain, violence, turbulence); averse to cruelty & harm. Needs to experience pleasure & beauty; requires harmony & ease (reduced stress & friction). Stubborn & fierce toward injustice (personal or social).
Venus square Neptune (0°06')
Idealistic, future-looking, longs to be enchanted. Wants things perfect. Can become jaded, disillusioned, and cynical from repeated hurtful betrayals. Emotions run strong. Most sees beauty in people and things, thus has blind spots (especially in romance). Trusting, naturally confident of others’ goodness (poor discrimination in selecting friends). Good-hearted, caretakes others, devoted friends, romantic, humanitarian. Natural people-readers (when not personally involved), natural psychologists.

Venus square Uranus (3°15')
Pleasure needs are free from social convention or taboo; enjoys diverse social & sexual experiences. Approach friendship, love, & sex impersonally, on their own terms (deep instinct for flexibility & freedom). Popular, friendly, flirtatious, roguish.
MOON
Moon in Taurus
Cordial, charming, magnetic. Soft, gentle, vulnerable; but brave (not timid). Values harmlessness, simplicity. Quest (groping) for emotional truth, driven by how they feel about things. Flirtatious, romantically roving. Thoughtful, reflective, independent thinker. Learns rapidly; relearns slowly. Sensuous. Beauty, art.
Moon square Jupiter (0°47')
Ambitious, desires success, aspires to take the lead. A natural ‘host,’ likes to play ringmaster in all life areas including in social & sexual hospitality. Usually good-humored, entertaining, kind, generous. Drawn to quality, desires only the best (things & circumstances) for self & loved ones. Strong beliefs (often religious or patriotic intensity, moralistic, judgmental). Social elitism (possible feigned superiority, aristocratic conceit).

Moon trine Venus (1°34')
Attractive, charming, affectionate, sexual charisma, sensual. Passive-dependent, moody, can be blindsided by strong feelings, often preoccupied with whether they are liked.
SUN
Sun in Scorpio
Requires freedom of movement & thought, to be unfettered. Willing to rebel, be outlandish. Sharp humor. Bold; moral courage; hard to intimidate. Non-disclosing, slow to show weaknesses; collects others’ weaknesses. Pragmatic, not theoretical. Favors action, abhors apathy. Phallic: Sexual volcanoes.
Sun sextile Saturn (2°01')
Effective survivor, works hard, few luxuries; prefers modest accommodations. Authority & other parent-based issues to overcome. Serious; yet good sense of humor. Struggles with self-sufficiency can block progress; more inclined to reaction than action.

Sun conjunct Mars (4°28')
Action, drive, accomplishment, courage. Restless, forthright, (perhaps hasty, impatient, temperamental). Physical aggression, strong sexual needs. Industrious, instinctive leader.
MARS
Mars in Scorpio
Determined, hardworking, fervent desire to succeed, hard to intimidate. Sharp humor, willing to be outlandish. Loves to party. Most prefer some “bad boy” in their character, feel it their moral duty to misbehave on schedule, and stay “a little rough around the edges.”
Mars octile Uranus (0°53')
Uncompromisingly individualist. Bold, distinctive characters. Brutally honest, takes risks, challenges accepted ideas (actions may challenge the world to try to stop them). Always into something new, often offbeat. Resourceful (quick astute assessment of situations), shows initiative. Sexually uninhibited, enthusiastic. Trusts own instincts more than outside advice.

Mars conjunct Pluto (4°57')
Normally congenial, mannered, even docile; yet enormous hidden explosive force (disciplined & available; untapped; or toxic & brutal). This must be expressed somehow (suppressing it attracts violence or assaults health). Resists control or coercion, defies arbitrary restrictions. Sexual energies explosive or rerouted into work (beware burn-out). In a balanced life: distinctive creativity, alive with a quiet, intense energy.

MERCURY
Mercury in Scorpio
Outspoken, opinionated, candid. Enjoys mental/verbal competition (arguments or humor). Needs intellectual freedom, resists mainstream ideas & institutional thinking. Mind sharp, strong, strategic (fault-finding). Strains nervous system (nervous irritation). Good singing voice.

VENUS
Venus in Virgo
Intellect & reason as basis of romantic choices (wants to make “good choices”). Companionship as important as Eros. Undemonstrative with affection or attraction. Kind lovers (more devoted than dutiful). Takes life seriously (play isn’t a priority). Matter-of-fact, serving, inclined to help. Usually monogamous, few wander; inclined to conventional relationships.

JUPITER
Jupiter trine Uranus (0°54')
Interested in and mind suited to science, philosophical inquiry, and self-inquiry (knack for astrology). Success through unlikely paths (distinguish themselves). Committed to progress, sense of exceptionalism. Ingenuity, insight (sees outside the usual paths, thinks on a broader scale). Respectful yet unbeholden to rank or class; gently resists authority, speaks truth, egalitarian.

Jupiter trine Neptune (2°27')
Idealist (social idealist), dreams of “something better” (impressionable; wants worthy idols). Optimism, faith (hungers for “too good to be true”). Generous (unwisely?). Compassionate, humanitarian, collective-minded. Strategically effective within a “big picture.” Religious, spiritual, mystical interests. Impractical (unrealistic, fantasy) relationship to money.

URANUS
Uranus conjunct Neptune (3°22')
Wanderlust, curious explorer, drawn to peer past horizons. Mythic, ritualistic sense of one’s position in the universal scheme. Knows that life and reality are weirder than anyone ever said. High-strung, sensitive.

Zach, if you're still hanging around - Happy birthday! You turn 30 today.

Where are you celebrating your solar return this year?

(And, as I'm sure you noticed, Covid-19 put a lid on in-person classes. Sorry about that.)
