Train derailment July 24, 2013, at 8:41 p.m

"State-owned train operator Renfe said the crash happened at 8:41 p.m. (2:41 p.m. ET) about 2.5 miles south of Santiago de Compostela."

It appears 80 people are dead.

There was also a train derailment July 12, 2013 at Bretigny-sur-Orge station, 20 people killed and 192 injured.
"The SNCF said the train was carrying about 385 passengers when it derailed Friday evening at 5:15 p.m. (11:15 a.m. ET) and crashed into the station at Bretigny-sur-Orge, about 12 miles south of Paris."

Striking chart when we examine planetary angularly (mundo & eclipto) for time & place of event.

Note the mundo conjunction of Mercury and Mars:
Me 14 minutes from Decendant.
Mars 1 degree 22 minutes from Decendant.

Also note the eclipto midpoint of Mercury/Mars=Pluto= Ascendant.

I saw this news come in. It looked like a minor event in the scope of things, so I didn't dig in. But even in more minor newsworthy events, this stuff works! <g>

My "formulary" workup...

Neither the Capsolar nor Cansolar shows it well (nor the Caplunar). In fact, the Cansolar looks like a party (and with Venus transiting the Cansolar Ascendant today, it looks like the party is today!).

The main chart appears to be the fortnight chart, the Canlunar. Sun (0°47') and Mercury (1°53') on the IC, stationary Saturn setting (3°47'). Mundane square Mercury-Saturn 1°54', Sun-Saturn 3°00'.
