The Whangaehu River Bridge collapsed as an express train from Wellington to Auckland passed over it. The locomotive and six cars derailed, rolling into the river, killing 151 people. More details about cascading causes in the article (serial collapses). This is New Zealand's deadliest rail accident and probably should go in the Transportation chapter also.
The collapse occurred exactly as Moon rose. (As in so many of these, I therefore suspect a gravitational factor.) Note that the charts are strongly expressive of a structural failure event, even more than of a transportation event (until the Day level).
