DC's 2020 Arisolar
DC's 2020 Arisolar
In light of the immediate environment of Covid-19 cases expanding in this Country, I am reading DC's 2020 Arisolar with its Venus-Mars Paran:
Venus 0,31 ASC
Mars 1,33 MC
as a high(er) probability for social (Venus) unrest (Mars). When you note Arisolar Sun is partile 90 (0,03) Pluto and secondary progressed Arisolar Moon begins its partile conjunction to Arisolar Pluto in Aug, if effective...
t. Saturn will again partile cnj Capsolar's MC in Aug! Our elite officials in DC have no idea what they are dealing with---from a Sidereal Mundane Astrology standpoint.

Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
I think you're probably right about this!
Looking at this a year or so ago, I just expected passion as the keyword and probably relating to the presidential race this year, heating up and coming to a head in the April to October period (since the Cansolar is dormant). As people started socially isolating - couples / families locking themselves away together, often, with little to do except entertain themselves, I'm also expecting a big baby boom beginning in January.
But social unrest might turn out to be a really good term for this.
I differ from you only in that I don't think Saturn's transit will mean the government is lost and doesn't know what to do. Rather, I think it means the government will be applying more controls and restrictions to American's in general Attorney General Bar has already asked Congress to pass laws suspending many civil rights during the virus epidemic (which, of course, gives the administration good reason to keep the virus crisis going stronger). More than ever, I think we're at risk of losing all of our freedoms and having Trump as a permanent dictator.
BTW, this crisis brings a new idea about what the terrible October Libsolar may mean: The virus may actually pull back temporarily during warmer months. If it does, then (based on past behaviors of such diseases), we can anticipate that October will bring a resurgence of an enemy many will have thought defeated - with devastating results.

Jim, I am seeing things I have never seen before from very street-wise African-American people. They are preparing in a knowing manner for urban unrest in their low income neighborhoods.

Can you say more? What form of unrest are you expecting and what kind of preparations are they making?SteveS wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2020 2:47 am Jim, I am seeing things I have never seen before from very street-wise African-American people. I do know that petty grievances and conflicts are boiling to the top. I have an app on my phone that flashes alerts of police matters near wherever I am at the moment (immediate neighborhood). Before people started widely isolating in their homes, I wouldn't get many alerts - usually a fender bender, occasionally a gun pulled nearby, but not much and not often. - However, for the last week this has changed. I get several alerts most days. Someone on the streets swinging a glass bottle at people, someone pulled a knife, a group fight that had to be broken up, a mugging, someone brandishing scissors in front of the subway station four blocks away, a home broken into early this morning. This tells me people are feeling more threatened and at risk, and probably also stealing a bit more to survive.

Qualified African Americans are purchasing guns/ammunition on an unprecedented scale from a local gun store to protect themselves/family/homes from the thugs, knowing with street-wise experience/knowledge it is just a matter of time before there is increased robbery/looting from a collapsing economy. I am trying to find videos with commentary to show the all day longs lines at the second largest wholesale gun store in US located outside Birmingham, Alabama....and what kind of preparations are they making?

Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
I wondered it that's what you meant, Steve and, without knowing that statistic, I've been anticapting something of the same type. From my forecast from the U.S. Capsolar for this year:
I just rediscovered, a couple of days ago, that at the Boston Tea Party on December 16, 1773, Pluto was at 0°21' Capricorn.
Additionally, White Supremacists strongly identified with Trump have reportedly been preparing for some strong put-down of Blacks and Black communities presuming Trump's reelection, and threatened "a new civil war" if he doesn't get reelected. It's not surprising that many in the Black communities would be preparing to defend themselves. We are already in something resembling a new American civil war, at least with respect to culture. This chart portrays a nation hurled more deeply into that divided reality in 2020, perhaps closer to the spirit of a new American revolution. With Pluto at the end of Sagittarius, every solar or lunar cardinal ingress of the next two or three years, for every part of the world, will have Sun or Moon closely conjunct, opposite, or square Pluto.

Jim, I have an African American client who I deeply respect for his street-knowledge pertaining to his culture/communities, and he tells me his community is mass buying guns more concerned about protecting themselves from economic ramifications from this rapidly collapsing economy. If his culture were buying these guns for a civil war--I strongly feel & trust he would have told me so. Only TIME knows for sure.
Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
Now, with a little bit of hindsight time, IMO, this Arisolar is symbolizing the growing numbers of "lockdown" protests (social unrest) happening in various States. Lets see how long these growing #s of protests lasts.

Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
The "lockdown" protests are getting a lot of airtime, but are very small, and are "astroturf" rather than grass roots. They're sponsored by groups being funded by some of Trump's corporate sponsors and very rich, very right wing, buddies. Think De Voss, Blackwater. They're a fraud, and the news media just loves a controversy to fill out their news casts.
Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
Nevertheless, they are protests, symbolizing the Venus-Mars (Social Unrest) paran in the SMA Arisolar. IMO, these protests will be another fundamental reason for Trump not being elected a second term. Does Trump have the power to lift the lockdown or does that power rest with the Governors of States?

Mostly agree with both of you. That is, I'm not sure they're really protests, but they are a mass-mind reflection of social unrest that, as much as anything, play to mass boredom and cabin fever.SteveS wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2020 9:33 am Nevertheless, they are protests, symbolizing the Venus-Mars (Social Unrest) paran in the SMA Arisolar.
Here is (some of) the language I ended up using for the Arisolar in my monthly U.S. forecast:
Foremost, the aspect means passion in every respect. People feel powerfully about things... More broadly, great restlessness sweeps the land, tempers burn short, and selfish wants win out over any greater social mindfulness. Venus-Mars also frays international relations: It commonly signals wounded alliances and even military attacks. Even though deadly times do not usually lead to expanding family sizes, with couples sequestered at home for months with this aspect we probably can expect a 2021 baby boom.

March 22:
We are seeing increasing 'social unrest' besides the social unrest with the pandemic---now with destructive protests in Minneapolis over the killing of George Floyd, currently spreading to other cities in the nation. A good but tragic example of a Sidereal Solar Ingress (Arisolar) Venus-Mars Paran with its malefic manifestations.I am reading DC's 2020 Arisolar (April 14) with its Venus-Mars Paran:
Venus 0,31 ASC
Mars 1,33 MC
as a high(er) probability for social (Venus) unrest (Mars).

Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
Yes. More broadly, I posted this today on a Facebook mundane astrology page:
Sidereal ingresses have been pegging the national waves of violence, as outlined in my forecast for this month. Amidst the larger disease-oriented tragedies, this month really stood but as something more. (As often happens, the charts did a better job speaking for themselves than I did speaking for them: I haven't found a way to list every major indication of key planets every time they appear, though the tone is obvious from the chart.)
Below are two charts: The May 12 Caplunar (Moon's Sidereal Capricorn ingress) as a mundoscope and the May 26 Canlunar (Cancer ingress) as a horoscope, both for Washington.
In the Caplunar (month chart), Mars rises. I said it would be "a contentious, aggressive, combative month of competing voices vying to force circumstances, with no little pain," but obviously it's even more intense than that. I mentioned "a raft of other (generally hurtful) things such as fires, violence, and general damage" in addition to the disease scourge ("Mars' penchant for fever and inflammation").
Four Moon aspects supplement this, of which the closest (not visible in the mundoscope) is Moon conjunct Pluto (0°06'). Of greatest interest to me is that (almost to the minute) this Moon rises almost to the minute of arc through Minneapolis: Angular Moon, especially with Pluto or Uranus, is the distinctive mark of mass popular uprisings and mass reaction.
From the Canlunar, I called this week "the roughest week of the month." In an already martial time, Saturn especially joins the fray. "The story of the week," I wrote, "seems centered on Uranus square Midheaven (0°12') and Saturn square Ascendant (0°46')." Aside from other ongoing themes (especially people getting antsy, fed up with social isolation restrictions and wanting to GET OUT), "we encounter surprise losses, economic constriction, collapsing frameworks, and inescapable harsh realities." That could mean a lot of things, of course, but, in a Mars-heavy month, the Saturn- and Uranus-heavy week is potentially tragic.
Additionally, as the forecast pointed out, transiting Mars squares the Washington Cansolar Ascendant (one of the two primary solar ingresses of the year) May 25-31. Capturing the tone correctly but not going nearly far enough, I wrote, "Expect a new level of struggle and perhaps of threat (and probably a lot of restlessness and rebellion as people push boundaries for the Memorial Day weekend)." - The restlessness and rebellion are for a lot more than that.
Finally, the daily quotidians are clicking off a series of unusually bad days for the nation. With a one-to-two-day orb on either side (up to 2°), this week's crossings for Washington include Moon and Uranus May 27, Saturn May 28, Uranus May 29, Neptune May 30, and Mars bringing it to a head May 31.

Yes, the Arisolar speaks more broadly and your specific Mars symbolism zero's in on the more acute Mars mood of the nation. Good observation Jim.
Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
We definitely identified the 2020 DC Arisolar as symbolizing high % for social unrest (Venus-Mars Paran) for the Country. I definitely know the AriQ (Daily Chart) for Jan 6th 2021 symbolized the violence and angered mob behavior (social unrest) which occurred in DC Jan 6th 2021.

Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
Good catch! Transits and quotidians of these lesser solar ingresses are always technically valid, but often too weak in comparison with the Cap and Can equivalencies. Sometimes, though, they just slice through it all like an arrow - this is one of those times. (The ingress doesn't even have to be 'active' anymore. They're all technically live for 12 months, just not equally loud.)SteveS wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 6:40 am AriQ Mars 15,42 Cap

This one has everything: A double dose of violence, inflamed people, and the president at the center of it all. (BTW, Arisolar Mars at 15°12' Capricorn is even closer to the quotidian angle than the progressed Mars.)
This prompted me to check the LibQ - and it came through, too, in a smaller but precise way, along with transits to the Libsolar:
4°04' Can - LibQ Asc
4°52' Ari - t Mars
11°43' Ari - t Uranus
13°04' Ari - Libsolar Asc
(Transiting Moon sq. Libsolar MC as the mob moved down the street and occupied the Capitol, but it was already within 2° at 1 PM. It was exact at 3:39 PM, then squared s Pluto at 4:14 PM.)

Re: DC's 2020 Arisolar
Some of these particular degrees have specific relevance. 15° Capricorn is the Fall of Jupiter, theoretically the least Jupiterian degree of the zodiac. 4°39' Aries is the star Alrisha, the brightest (alpha) star in Pisces [I have to look that one up, I haven't developed anything on it yet]. 21°53' Sagittarius is Rukbat, a dim star which, nonetheless, is the brightest in Sagittarius (about which almost nothing is known or even alleged in astrological literature), though it conjoins Sun for a few people known for prodigality and over-burning their substantial resources recklessly.
