RIP Carrie Fisher
Posted Fri Dec 23, 2016 7:23 pm by Jupiter Sets At Dawn
Fisher, Carrie Gender: F
Birthname Carrie Frances Fisher
born on 21 October 1956 at 12:49 (= 12:49 PM )
Place Burbank (Los Angeles County), California, 34n11, 118w18
On a plane while returning this morning on an 11 hour flight from London, she suffered a "cardiac episode", and apparently stopped breathing at some point. The plane landed at LAX about noon, and she was transported after CPR at about 12:15 PM. Her brother announced at 4 PM she'd been stablized at the hospital although she was still in critical condition.
From the tweets, she probably was uncomfortable for awhile, and then had the "episode" less than 15 minutes before landing. Nurses who were onboard tended to her till the plane got to the terminal

TRANSITS
t. Pluto -135- r. Pluto +48'

SNQ
For LA (applicable as she approached, and after landing), p. MC conj. r. Mars
SSR
Main features is a Mars-Pluto conj. on Dsc, but also Moon rising (exactly square Uranus, both hit Mercury) and Jupiter near IC. Suitable for all sorts of stress, overdoing it, hard confrontations, luck, publicity, new direction, self-assessment, etc.
TRANSITS TO SSR
(In addition to Pluto and Neptune conjoining their SSR positions, Neptune within 5'...)
t. Uranus -135- s. Venus 47'
t. Jupiter -45- s. Venus 24'
SQ
(For LA...)
p. Asc op. s. Neptune 0°00' [likely anxiety before and during]
p. EP op. t. Mars
Her Kinetic Solar Return occurred two days earlier, but doesn't seem to show anything for either London or LA.
SLR
(Occurred Dec 11, relocated to LA...)
Primary feature is a near-partile Moon-Mars square on the angles, and a shade of Neptune. Her natal Pluto is in the rising foreground but, closer and more important, her Saturn squares Ascendant. This and the SQ are the best charts of the day.

Yeah, I just heard. It surprised me - I didn't think that last attack was so serious.
May she go with the force.

She never regained consciousness after her heart stopped on the plane. People from the plane said she was given CPR for nearly ten minutes. If that is what happened, she died on the plane and they were just waiting for the body to give up.
I'm thinking she didn't have a heart attack, but a blood clot, just from the vague descriptions I've heard. Not that it matters.
I bought myself the Princess Diarist for Christmas. I'm really sad there won't be more.

Notice that her chart is not at all typical for major substance abuse history. There is barely a whisper of Mercury or Mars individually, let alone together. I think, therefore, that we are seeing a different pattern here. She has a close Sun-Neptune conjunction in Libra, square Ascendant. I think the focus here is on her considerable dependency, self-doubt, and passive-attaching traits, about which she wrote and spoke freely. Drugs were just a variation of that, and not a particularly important or distinctive one.

She was manic-depressive, which is a medical problem. The substance abuse was an attempt to self-medicate the disease process. In later years, she discovered electro-shock therapy, which was the only thing that worked, and then only for a period of months before it had to be repeated. She wrote about it in a couple of her books.

Just sharing this facebook post here to remind that every cloud has a silver lining. Yes, many very unfortunate and mind-boggling things happened this year, and all those laments are not enough to undo it, but it's the holidays now, and looking at the good things done this year below, and next year's Capsolar, it is only fair to be optimistic of a better future, or at least a better 2017—pertaining to the world in general, of course.

We know.
It was a nice impulse, but telling people to get over a death after barely 24 hours is a bit tone deaf, and considering the breadth and depth of the losses this year, and the frequency with which they are coming, it's a little unkind.
It's not hurting anybody for people to grieve. I'm not sure why the guy who wrote that thinks it's a problem. And he really should check his list, because there are a lot of half-true to just plain not true things on there.

This situation is terribly sad, but, thankfully, astrology gives us a chance to view the personality of these two extraordinary women. Debbie was Pisces Sun (Venus/Jupiter/Neptune) and Carrie was a Libra Sun (Venus Saturn). Debbie was romantic, whimsical, and even cute/child-like in her advanced age, but her daughter was very much drier and serious, more about female empowerment. Sadly, the Venusian flame was not inherited by Carrie's daughter since she's an extremely early Cancer Sun and either a late Capricorn or early Aquarius.
