Following heavy rain, the Tittabawassee River flooded causing the Edenville Dam's eastern side to collapse. One consequence of this was flooding that overflowed Sanford Dam, 10 miles away. The failure of both dams "caused major flooding in Midland County," especially around Midland, MI where water was waist-deep.

Midland and Edenville were evacuated beginning immediately after the Edenville Dam breach. (In less than half a day, 11,000 people evacuated Midland.) So far, we have estimates nor reports on either casualties or damages. The governor declared a state of emergency. Pandemic-related social distancing requirements are being challenged by the evacuation circumstances.

I'm using the breach of Edenville Dam as the actual event. It's both a flood and a structural failure event. - The charts are quite good.
