Jim's Natal Chart Interpretation File

Post by SteveS »

Jim, I have a friend whos daughter had her first child who asked me if I could send her some astrology language about her new grand daughter. I know no better place to start than your interpretation file for a native. When you have time--much appreciated.

Sure - and you can always adapt it from the posted file (that is up to date except for a couple of Sun-sign paragraphs).

Give me a few minutes. (Looks like they have a little athlete on their hands.)

Indeed, that angular partile Mars-Jupiter 90 is interesting. If not an athlete--at least some kind of "outstanding" Mars-Jupiter life influence.

Thanks D. I wanted Jim's full input on this since the native and parents live in LA area, because I am going to encourage em to consult with Jim in person about their new born daughter with her great Mars-Jupiter potential. :)

They definitely have their hands full :) I left out all the stuff about sex despite her rising Mars in Pisces - new parents don't want to read that sort of thing about their new baby girl. Nonetheless, the athletic-like themes, attitudes toward authority, and traits consistent with actors and people who experience and mobilize powerful feelings are quite vivid and recurring in the chart. (I didn't even mention the widely angular Moon and Pluto, though I included Pluto's foreground aspects in the top section.)

ANGULAR PLANETS & ASPECTS
Mars square Jupiter (1°23')
Exalts strength, competition, and conquest with a zest for living. Common for successful competitive athletes; in most others, it shows vitality and enthusiasm for bringing an ever-improving “personal best.” Confidence in their own strength adds impermanence to any defeats. Morally if not physically courageous. Enterprising, resourceful. “Money to burn” (generous or extravagant; rarely holds onto cash for long; seems confident in the stream of resources). Aggressive in their beliefs, evangelical in their lives (irrepressible enthusiasts, missionaries, barnstormers of doctrine or other interests).
Jupiter square Ascendant (1°02')
Positive, optimistic, oriented to the good and qualitative. Unusually lucky. Aspires to (enjoys) life of leisure and its perks (seeks to improve self and conditions). Generous, congenial, tolerant, good-humored, kind. Needs esteem and inclusion (usually well received; can be overly role-conscious). Responds to cultural totems, heritage, tradition, social graces, social and ceremonial rituals. Champion of justice and fair play. (Afflicted: air of superiority, judgmental, greedy, envious; making own luck through shady ethics or crime.)

Mars conjunct Ascendant (3°32')
Aggressive, competitive, challenging, needs to win (combative, quarrelsome). Seeks to test and prove self by contest (competitively, verbally, mentally). Courage (physical and moral; may disregard safety). Dominates and controls others. Physical, needs to expend energy; needs physical and psychological elbowroom. Business leadership, competitive excellence.
Mars square Pluto (2°22')
Normally well-mannered, congenial, even docile behavior sits atop a stockpile of explosive force. It may be (1) suppressed, blocked personal power, (2) owned, disciplined, available personal power, or (3) pathologized, brutal, destructive power. (Health in this is reflected in how freely appropriate anger is expressed.) This enormous force (especially physical force) must be expressed somehow, e.g., (1) directly, (2) attracting violence, or (3) eruptive health crises, vulnerable to burnout. Sensitive to pressure or coercion; pot-stirrers, resistant to outside control, defiant of arbitrary restrictions; willing to live “outside the norm” on social patterning. In a productive, on-track life, this is a mark of genius and distinctive creativity, acutely alive with a quiet energy; the others are trouble, can’t seem to avoid breaking or upsetting something.
Jupiter conjunct Pluto (3°45')
Thrives when being controversial within their circles. Strong desire to contribute. Unbound by precedent. Social outlier unapologetically genuine while committed to group. Controversial, rebels against standards. Wants “to be something.” Self-improvement indifferent to the rules. Success fluctuates, may not last.
SUN in CANCER
Thrives within imagination and complexity (vision; or lost in fantasy). Lives in others’ shadow; finds purpose in service and emulation. Conceive and deliver results. Persuasive, trusted, instinct for motives. Live in mystery or its resolution: create or solve puzzles. Renewed by home or sanctuary. Sensitive, moody, self-absorbed.
Sun octile Venus (0°38')
Charming, gentle, fine companion. Strong in friendship. Aesthetic appreciation. Most comfortable in marriage or similar relationship. A little vain.
MOON in PISCES
Most truly themselves when being someone else. Dramatizes a personal fiction; “big fish” confidence (self-important, airs?). Love having a “secret side.” Divas. Emotionally driven (haunted). Fascinated with the unknown. Religious thinking style. Faith, commitment to beliefs or vision. Judgmental. Hardened personal reality (stuck patterns).
Moon sextile Saturn (1°06')
Hardworking, self-driving. Encourages others. Emotionally reserved, private. Resistant to others’ rules and control (passive-aggressive response). Parent issues persist (nourishment-deprivation). Judgmental, intolerant, distrustful. Can be pessimistic, feeling inferior, anxious, depressed.

Moon octile Uranus (0°37')
Intellectually rebellious, roving, curious, inquiring. Not wholly comfortable with outside guidance. Original, futuristic, needing variety. Free-spirited: psychologically lives outside convention. Subject to tensions, emotional stress.

Moon sextile Pluto (3°04')
Avoids habitual conformity and conventional conditioning; willing to “march to a different drummer” with little concern for others’ rules. Maverick, outsider, gently resists authority. Restless, can uproot on little notice. Deeply inquiring mind.

Moon square Venus (3°21')
Attractive, charming, affectionate, charisma, sensual. Passive-dependent, moody, can be blindsided by strong feelings, often preoccupied with whether they are liked.
MARS in PISCES
Sensitive, imaginative, fervent; weaves vivid drama, vibrant fantasy. Brooding, moody, surging into temptation, pursing depths and heights. Creative reality-weaving, not scientific reality-discovering. Expect reality to match their wants (impatient with frustrated gratification). Passive-aggressive, manipulative. Looks at things most leave hidden (death, abnormal sexuality, occultism, mysteries of life and the psyche).

MERCURY in CANCER
Mind strongly influenced by feelings (romantic, subjective, infused with imagination). Writing style leverages imagery. Edits, modifies, and embellishes ideas, polishing and rehashing. Planners, organizers. Gives insightful counsel.
Mercury octile Neptune (1°24')
Hyper-responsive to environment, sensitive to impressions (psychic). Magnifies trivialities (perfectionist). Loves puzzle- or problem-solving: psychological relief from fantasied problem solving (may avoid real problems). Dreamer, storyteller; can enthuse others, convince someone of almost anything.

VENUS in GEMINI
Playful, fun. Seeks companions specially to share curiosities and explorations (strengthened by partnering with their “other”). Broadly open to interpersonal opportunities. Interested in unusual, specialized artistic fields; keen awareness of form.

OUTER PLANET ASPECTS
Jupiter sextile Neptune (1°00')
Idealist (social idealist), dreams of “something better” (impressionable; wants worthy idols). Optimism, faith (hungers for “too good to be true”). Generous (unwisely?). Compassionate, humanitarian, collective-minded. Strategically effective within a “big picture.” Religious, spiritual, mystical interests. Impractical (unrealistic, fantasy) relationship to money.

Neptune sextile Pluto (2°46')
Open to shifting viewpoint, alternative perspectives, variant possibilities: Potential to forge a new worldview and enroll others. Uncertainty feeds desire for certainty, regarding things a certain way and not other.

Thanks Jim! I have forward this link thread to the grandmother recommending she tell her daughter for her and her husband to possibly one day seek your astrological thoughts about their daughter with that outstanding Mars-Jupiter angular aspect where they may interact with you for possible further questions.
