At least 15 people died in a Southern California accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer. (For comparison, the nation's deadliest transportation accident cost 32 lives.) The SUV had 27 people in it (maximum legal capacity seven or eight).

So far, 6:16 is the best time we have. This is the time that Imperial County FD and emergency services responded. The accident has kept the northbound freeway shut down this morning.

The new Liblunar sets the stage clearly. The CapQ is atrocious and completely unfitting. Transits to the Cansolar bring it home. (and set up the Bridge well).

Sigh. Yes, idiots still think that because presidential inaugurations occurred on March 4 (except for George Washington's first term) before the 20th Amendment gave a new date, that Trump can still be inaugurated on March 4.

This despite the fact that the 20th Amendment specifically says, "The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January... of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin."

A version of the American Rescue Act passed the Senate by 50-49, with the count confirmed at 12:24 pm EST. It now goes into the reconciliation process between the two houses.

I'm not happy seeing Neptune at Midheaven. (Sun is closer to MC, but it's Sun conjunct Neptune.) Transiting Jupiter is 26' from conjunct Capsolar Moon.

The American Rescue Act passed the House of Representative with the count confirmed at 2:10 pm EST. Along party lines, except for one Democrat who voted against the bill.

It now goes to President Biden's desk and he's expected to sign it Friday AM.

Garland was born November 13, 1952 with Sun in Libra - the most common Sun-sign for attorneys - and Moon in Virgo - the most common Moon-sign for U.S. attorneys general.

Not that I expect most people to know many of these names, but the other Virgo Moons were John Breckinridge, William Pinkney, John Y. Someone elsewhere cited 2:09 PM. This is a big enough deal, it would be good to get it exactly right: How sure are you of the minute? (However, the exact time doesn't really affect the chart.)

I don't like the chart at all with a Sun-Neptune conjunction plus Saturn and Pluto the only two planets close to an angle. Furthermore, transiting Mars and Neptune were precisely (within a few minutes) on Biden's natal Dsc and IC, respectively. (Sun also, within a degree.)

I just don't trust this chart. This seems a really great thing to have happen, one of the best things any Congress has ever done, yet the deeper I dig into the chart the worse it gets. The signing should be the moment the law is "born" - one wonders at the consequences, including what price Biden will have to pay for it but also the law itself.

My latest discovery: There was today a paran at the latitude of Washington of Mars rising exactly with the star Menkar, the brightest star in Cetus (a Saturn star per Ptolemy), as if to say some great, threatening beast rises up from the seas expecting tribute. (Robson even relates it to disease.) That with the Sun-Mars-Neptune paran (anchored by Biden's natal angles) sounds very threatening and continues to speak of festering disease.

If there is anything to houses, Moon (measured mundanely, as they should be) is 0°11' from the 8th cusp.

These remarks, of course, are atop the basic, worrisome tone of the chart read in the most conventional, uncontroversial, unexperimental way.

A rare wildfire burned 170 acres, damaged dozens of houses (but not badly), and forced about 100 evacuations. One firefighter was hospitalized in critical condition.

The fire was first reported about 1:30 PM in Lakewood Township. It spread through Jackson and Brick Townships. The center of Lakewood Township is 40.077069 N, 74.19851 W. This seems to be the Solar Fire coordinates for Lakewood, NJ.

The area was primed for a fire for the year: The Capsolar for Lakewood had Mars and Uranus straddling MC, square Saturn ecliptically and square exactly setting Moon (0°07') mundanely. A definite "flash fire" fit.

There were no Capsolar Q and transits, and the CanQ fits only in the "danger was minimal, nobody got hurt" sense with Jupiter square Asc. With the CapQ completely silent, statistics show we need to consider all other three quarterly ingresses for daily timing. In this case, transiting Mars conjoined Arisolar Ascendant (with an AriQ progressed Moon-Saturn conjunction 0°04' wide for the whole world).

A man carrying an "AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, 113 rounds of unregistered ammunition, and five 30 round magazines," some in his car was detained by the Secret Service based on an intelligence bulletin from Texas and his supicious behavior outside Mrs. Harris official residence. He was turned over to the DC police when they arrived. He has been charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, carrying a rifle or shotgun outside of a business, possession of unregistered ammunition and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.

These people are going after women because they perceive them as less capable than men, and they also feel women in positions of power such as VP or Governor of Minnesota are some kind of affront to them as men.

Exactly. And it sucks that we're still in that place.

I think this is probably more of an event for Harris than a mundane event in general (especially since it didn't get much mass-mind attention). Her transits are clear: Transiting Mars at 12°58' Taurus conjoined her Eastpoint-a at 12°01' Taurus while Venus 0°15' Pisces conjoined her Zenith within 0°04'. (Mercury was within a degree of her MC.)

(Looking at her transits reminds me that over the next two years Pluto will square her exact natal Moon-Sun opposition. That will, of course, mark the most pivotal period for her.)

Her SNQ had transiting Saturn on EP, which is more severe than I'd think was warranted. (She's still in orb of a progressed Moon-Neptune opposition.) - Her SQ is the most intense, with solar Pluto on MC and transiting Uranus on Asc. Her PSSR had transiting Neptune on Zenith. All these sound like a really bad day (whereas my fantasy was more along lines that this sort of thing had become routine for her by now - the charts, however, don't suggest that).

Colorado is in Mountain Time, currently on MDT. I'm guessing you saw the news in CDT and it was around 4 PM in Boulder.

The active solar ingress is still the Libra and, for Boulder, there is a partile Venus-Neptune opposition - the most distinctive aspect for these shootings - right across the horizon.

The Caplunar has Saturn exactly on WP-a. The Arilunar is less descriptive with a Sun-Venus conjunction on Dsc but, even with that being strongest, there is still a 2° Venus-Neptune conjunction foreground.

For the day... transiting Mars on CapQ MC (both square Mercury). It was going to be either a violent or fiery day at the longitude of Boulder. CanQ Asc squared ingress Saturn. Mars also conjoined Cansolar Moon within half a degree.

Police put out a shelter in place order at 5:10PM which was lifted at about 6:41 PM.

Ten fatalities, including the Boulder police office. 14:30 hours mountain time police began receiving calls about a shooter at the grocery. The officer killed was first on the scene. They haven't said how many (or if any) wounded, other than the shooter. One hospital said they received one injury from the scene and had been told they would not be receiving more.

A 21-year-old shooter opened fire with an AR-15-style semiautomatic rifle in a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colorado. Ten people died including the first-responding police officer. The shooter killed one person in the parking lot on his way into the store. Chaos erupted in the store as panicked customers fled en masse in the first two minutes. Police arrived quickly and engaged in exchange of gunfire from about 2:40 to 3:21 PM. At 3:28 PM, the shooter was taken into police custody and to a local hospital (now reported in stable condition).

Boulder police announced the active shooter on Twitter at 2:49 PM. Wikipedia says shooting began "shortly after 2:30 p.m. MDT." Other news accounts eventually settled on 2:30 PM as when calls started hitting police stations.

This is a big shooting by itself and comes right after the eight deaths in Atlanta (a few days ago). There is nothing overt to connect these shootings (which are the two biggest of of seven major shootings in the U.S. in the last week) other than the astrological tone of the times. The Boulder shootings come during a few-day period in which all three malefics (Mars, Saturn, and Neptune) form the Bridge for Washington, DC ingresses, i.e., for the nation.

Mundane charts for the event are quite exact in unfolding classic markers for mass shootings. Even the event chart was expressive: At 2:30 PM, Saturn was three and a half degrees above Descendant exactly trine Mars. (Eris, four and a half degrees shy of MC, was in 1°05' mundane square with Saturn FWIW.) Uranus was 1°46' from Zenith, Pluto 1°52' from WP.

The Georgia state Legislature voted today to give themselves the power to take over county election boards, bar any state official from the voting certification, and generally choose who wins any election in the state. The law was introduced this morning, voted on this afternoon and signed a couple of hours ago. All in one day.

They're also having some state legislators locked up who asked to witness the signing of the bill.

Now it goes to the courts.

If the courts in Georgia let this stand, I recommend we cut Georgia off and let it float out to sea.

General area, but I think the line stayed south of them. They're north of Birmingham, and the tornados appear to all be south of it.

Yes, Jupe was correct, tornado stayed south of Springville, on ground 18 miles from my house. Non-dangerous flash flooding in Springville area, with power outages off and on for the last 12 hours.

March 26, 2021, 11:42 a.m. local time (5:42 a.m. ET) a train heading from Aswan to Cairo hit the rear of a train heading from Luxor to Alexandria, which was stuck on the railway line after an emergency brake was activated.
The crash occured near the city of Sohag, about 500km (260 miles) south of Cairo Egypt.

32 dead, between 90 and 110 injured. Worse crash in four years.

We might expect all sorts of trouble from the mundane charts, including the sandstorm itself, the ship grounding, and especially transportation and commerce blocking. A salvage company said it will take weeks, and possibly months, to dislodge the ship.

The Ever Given was floated free today, March 29, 2021 at about 3PM, local time. The rear of the ship was freed just before dawn this morning using the full moon and higher tides to get it unstuck. It's still not back in the channel of deep water, but getting there and traffic through the canal is expected to resume by tonight.

If you didn't get an extra pack of toilet paper, you don't need to, although you should always have one in reserve. Gas prices dropped back dramatically this morning.
