The Colonial Pipeline runs for 5,500 miles from west of Houston TX through the central areas of the gulf coast states, misses Florida entirely, but through Atlanta, with offshoots into Tennessee, to the central areas of the East Coast states, finally ending in Linden, NJ. It carries 45% of the supply of refined gasoline and jet fuel from refineries to customers over the entire route. The Colonial Pipeline Company is based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Some time Friday, executives learned the IT system had been hacked and they were dealing with a ransomware attack. Concerned the attack could spread to operational systems and downstream to connected operators, they shut down the pipeline. I do not have times. They're being very careful about what they say publically.

So far, gas prices have gone up 1¢ from this. Most of the gas they transport goes to fill storage tanks, which are mostly full anyway, so not much effect yet.

Mass shootings are rare in Russia because of strict gun controls. Today, a gun and explosives attack in a Kazan school killed seven eighth-grade students and two employees, injuring 21 others. The school was Gymnasium No. 175. UPDATE 7/20: I've amended the time from 9:20 to 9:19.

The shooting, which began when the shooter was blocked from entering a security gate at the school, started as Saturn was setting.

Of great interest to me is that the young shooter was born September 11, 2001.

The CDC announced (May 13, 2021 @ 3:05 PM Eastern in DC) that fully vaccinated adults who are at least two weeks out from their last shot need not wear masks except on transportation (including buses, planes and trains) in public. This does not override individual businesses who still require masks or does it override state and city mandates.

Just in time for things to get really really bad in June.
I'm keeping my masks even if I don't have to wear them.

I'm continuing to wear a mask when away from home so that I don't inadvertently give a signal that no masks is OK.

My chance of getting or passing anything is negligible, but this is a whole-planet project and we all need to stick with the game. (That's aside from my employer requiring them for anyone who comes into the office.)

Nonetheless, it's good to have the advisory, which gives confidence that things are significantly safer.

A fifty car train derailed in Albert Lea, MN shortly after sometime Central.
"Train derailment in area of 1300 block of Eastgate Road. Unknown hazardous material leak. Avoid area," read the civil emergency message sent through the National Weather Service as requested by the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office at 2:37 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021. "Local residents to shelter in place."

There are news pieces saying it happened after 1:30 PM (CBS Minnesota) and after 2:30 PM (KTTC - NBC) quoting the weather service and (above) the Rochester MN Post Bulletin. Fox-9 news said "The derailment was first reported around 1:34 p.m. off of Eastgate Road."

Using 1:30 PM as a working time (not that it matters all that much at the moment), a few things stand out for Albert Lea, MN, especially the importance of Mars (backed by Saturn).

CAPSOLAR. The Capsolar's partile Mars-Saturn square falls on the 7°04' Cancer Ascendant, Mars on Zenith 1°42', Saturn setting 0°50'. It's, therefore, on one of the worst lines in the nation for the current year.

ARISOLAR. Saturn sets in the Quarter chart also, being 1°52' from Descendant, with Pluto 0°50' from WP-a. Against this, Venus is on MC 1°56'.

ARILUNAR. Nothing extreme. The one angular planet, though, fits the broad picture, being Mercury 0°06' from EP (but it's positive-leaning if anything, with a mundane conjunction to a non-angular Venus). Not a helpful chart.

DAILY: CAPSOLAR. The CapQ is good with ingress Mercury on IC squared by transiting Uranus (which is 9' from WP), with Saturn just outside orb of IC (2°05'). Meanwhile, transiting Mars exactly crossed the local Capsolar EP (0°29'), fulfilling its initial promise in the Capsolar.

DAILY: CANSOLAR. Transiting Mars squared CanQ MC (1°15'). However, Jupiter was just within 2° of Cansolar Asc.

CNN is reporting this evening that the NYS Attorney General has informed Trump's legal team that their investigation of the ex-president is no longer just a civil investigation but is now a criminal investigation as well. Don't yet have a time, but it got out to MSNBC by 9:45 PM.

But Jupiter is exactly on his Descendant - less than half a degree. He seems protected. However, there are truly big-deal transits occurring: If this is real, then somebody clearly turned on him with Pluto opposite his Venus 0°05'. Uranus squares his Pluto 38'.

Solar arcs are most precarious in four months (so: September). When Solar Arc goes another 20'. he'll have 00' hits of Uranus conjunct his Ascendant and Saturn conjunct his Neptune.

Since this is a state investigation instead of a federal investigation, there is. Florida law allows the governor to personally intervene in the extradition of a Florida resident to any other state. The governor can pretty much investigate it as long as wants until he satisfies himself that there is a legitimate basis for extradition. It would take federal courts to decide a conflict between two states.

What do the charts show for the 11 days of hostilities between Israel and Palestine, and the ceasefire?

I notice that for 2.00am local time on Friday May 21, the moment which the ceasefire officially began, Venus was on the Ascendant in the Cansolar Quotidians of Jerusalem, Ramallah and Tel Aviv alike, and was exactly partile in Ramallah (0°00').

Shootings of all sorts are up nationwide. Its been one of the clearest marks of the world starting to "come out of" pandemic times and clearly reflected in the U.S. Capsolar for 2021. I think these freeway shootings are just another expression of that.

Having said that, southern California's Neptune-driven Capsolar (in fact, Venus-Neptune, the most typical aspect of mass shootings) is joined by a Neptune-rising Caplunar since May 2.

What do the charts show for the 11 days of hostilities between Israel and Palestine, and the ceasefire?

I notice that for 2.00am local time on Friday May 21, the moment which the ceasefire officially began, Venus was on the Ascendant in the Cansolar Quotidians of Jerusalem, Ramallah and Tel Aviv alike, and was exactly partile in Ramallah (0°00').

I've glanced at this over the last week (but not closely) and, nothing being obvious at a glance, was thinking it was probably in Israel's birth chart this time. I never got around to migrating most of my collection of national charts to Solar Fire (they haven't been that interesting to me), though Israel's performed exceptionally well in prior wars and key moments in history. I'll see if I can dig it out from an online resource and come back to edit this.

LATER: Israel's existence as an independent nation was proclaimed May 14, 1948 in Tel Aviv. Three times, ranging over about half an hour, are most likely. The first is 4:00 PM, the exact time a public meeting began to proclaim the independence. The second is 4:32 PM, when all the meetings protocols and signings were completed and David Ben-Gurion proclaimed Israel existed. The third is Alexander Marr's rectification for 4:15 PM (which would, perhaps, be when an intermediate step such as signing documents was completed) - he was a master at such things, and I suspect this is the Israel chart I used in the '70s and '80s, which impressed me.

Were I picking from theory, I'd choose the 4:32 PM time for the explicit declaration of the establishment of the nation, though Marr's rectification deserves close scrutiny.

Raw transits are probably insufficient to discern a birth time. I do note, though, that the recent outbreak began when the 4 PM chart has transiting Pluto 38' from its IC and transiting Eris 25' from its Descendant. Pluto was 34' from square the 4:15 PM Ascendant.

The conflict began only a few days before Israel's May 15 SSR and continued for a week after. For all of these times, it had Pluto setting. The 4 PM chart has Pluto closest to the SSR angle and, much more interesting, has Mars exactly on EP. (Other transits are ongoing: Perhaps the most warlike is Saturn's exact opposition to natal Pluto. In the SSR, Jupiter opposes natal Mars exactly. These all show a season of war.)

So... I haven't tracked this enough to have the data gathered... when did it begin, May 10? (Do you know when the first rockets were fired off?) For noon on that day, the SNQ for the 4:32 PM chart had natal Jupiter and progressed Uranus across the horizon, the 4:15 PM time had natal Neptune and Uranus on the angles plus MC square transiting Mars, and the 4 PM had progressed Mars exactly on MC. These seem to speak much better for the two earlier times than the last.

Switching to the SQ, on May 10 it had Pluto on MC for the latest time, nothing for the others.

The April 20 SLR had Saturn on IC in mundane square to setting Venus and ecliptical square to angular Uranus. The 4:15 time has these exactly angular, the other times has it all close. Saturn opposes natal Pluto, which culminates. It's a harsh, war-like SLR that shows loss of friends.

But, returning to the ingresses...

Israel's 2021 Capsolar is dormant. The 2020 Cansolar has Sun and Jupiter as strongest planets, but they're both compromised, e.g., Jupiter conjunct Pluto. Saturn sets, perhaps too wide to be taken seriously as opposing Sun but strong in its own right. The year of not being able to pull together a working government is pretty well shown, and a general sense of enhanced imperialism and power plays.

Since the Arisolar is silent (as is the Libsolar), the only viable, voiced solar ingress is this Cansolar.

For May 10, CapQ MC squared Neptune - the mobs and then the confusion is fitting enough. Sun transited square Jerusalem's Capsolar MC - there is a lot of Sun in this chart - so Israel's basic imperialism was showing. CanQ MC conjoined transiting Saturn plus transiting Venus rising - it's a Venus-Saturn aspect. Sun, again, was exactly angular.

Yes, the first rockets were fired on May 10th I believe. The Guardian says that air raid sirens were blasted "shortly after 6pm", and the Times of Israel's live updates reported it at 6:03:36pm. At 6:07:39pm, the Times of Israel reported 6 rockets fired from Gaza.

Millions of people may need to evacuate. This is a big active volcano.

Volcanologists at the Goma Volcano Observatory (OVG), which monitors Nyiragongo, have struggled to make basic checks since the World Bank cut funding amid embezzlement allegations.

The first calls came in just after midday, (10:00 GMT) May 23rd, 2021. The Stresa-Motterone cable car with probably 15 aboard including 2 children, fell 20 metres into the woods just before reaching the top of the mountain. 14 people are known dead. 6 Israelis (including both children) were part of the group on board. The younger child appears to have survived.

I had missed this story until fellow mundane astrologer Mark Cullen brought it up today. Ryanair Flight 4978 from Athens to Vilnius, Lithuania was redirected by a Belarusian MiG jet to divert from its path to a forced landing in Minsk. I checked charts briefly for Minsk, which has several indications of unusual, surprising, not entirely pleasant transportation events, but I wanted to especially check the point where the Belarusian jet intercepted them (still over Belarus). The exact time and coordinates above are from tracking data of the point where the plane turned to its new course.

Probably what this utterly illegal event is really all about is that activist journalist Roman Protasevich and his girlfriend were aboard and, upon landing, were arrested. The rest of the flight was eventually allowed to continue to its original destination.

Ten people died (including the shooter, a 57-year-old male employee). It is important as "the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the San Francisco Bay Area." He left home at 5:39 AM after setting his house on fire (by ammunition 'cooking' on his stove, timed to go off concurrent with his planned shooting). The San Jose fire department got an alarm at 6:33 AM, then at 6:34 AM 911 got a call about shots fired (so I'm using 6:33 as the time the shooting began).

May 22, 2021, about 5:00 PM EET, Mount Nyiragongo, Congo (1S31'09", 29E15'15"). This eruption caused at least 32 deaths (mostly car crashes from the evacuation). The time from official sources is now two hours earlier than thought (17:00, not 7:00, so that might have been a typo).

Saturn-Uranus marked the angles for the time of eruption. The charts aren't really interesting until the Week, when the two charts usually strongest - the Week chart and the Capsolar-based daily activity - brings it home in spades, plus the Cansolar bringing in the telltale Mars for the day. The Bridge has three malefics overlapping.
