IMO, the one individual who changed the face of Hollywood with his mega “blockbuster” movies in the 70’s. In 1977, I was fortunate to receive two New York admission to Steven’s Premier of “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” It was the only time in my entire Theater Career I witness a packed Theater audience stand and applaud at the end of a movie. Steven’s movies in the 70’s played a big part in literally saving the financial future for a small Theater company which employed me as their contract Booker of movies for their limited amount of Theater screens. Mr. Spielberg’s work holds a special place in my heart with my career life in the 70’s contracting movies. His Sun partile 90 my natal Sun and partile 180 my natal Uranus. Ok Steve, I will offer a few of my "first impression" thoughts.

The man has Neptune square his ASC telling me that he is very creative and imaginative and that he may be into the movie industry, since Neptune can be a strong indicator of musical or theatrical arts/creation.
He also has his Uranus square his MC axis, telling us that he is very original, freedom/independence oriented and it may explain his interest in space. With that Uranus aspect he is probably interested in astrology as well , even though the world may not know about that.

I would guess from his Moon-Saturn and Moon-Pluto aspects that he experienced some kind of severe separation at early age and that his emotions run deep and serious.

He has a super-success aspect, Jupiter&Venus sq. Pluto. His Sun is also not far from squaring his MC, and is also opposing Uranus, suggesting a massive outreach to people or his fame.

Since I always like to consider things from more than one perspective I'd like to add that IF we consider houses and we consider some jaimini astrology, I would think that with his AK (soul&self) as Venus in 5th, AMK (career&financials) as Jupiter in 5th and PK(children&creation) as Moon in 5th that jaimini would predict the guy to be artistic&creative and have his career within 5th house emphasis, such as entertainment. Plus that he most probably has many children. According to jaimini we would also need to check Sarvashtaka Varga points for that house and all houses/signs to judge if they are good/productive or not and they are above average for his 5th sign.

Some might also just look at that house and note that it is very benefic with Jupiter, Venus and Moon placed there so should be good for 5th house activities (which he certainly has had huge success with).

Thanks Arena, I ditto that Venus-Jupiter cnj in his 5th house of entertainment. His net worth is 3.9 billion with entertaining the masses of movie patrons. After Jaws, Hollywood gave him a blank check to make movies and then he formed his own company. And yes, his most angular planet Neptune partile cnj nadir, obviously pertaining to his creative imaginative mind with making great entertaining movies. That Mercury-Saturn aspect probably represents structuring details with his great movies. The man is certainly gifted and I could tell many special incidents in my life booking/contracting his great movies.

Yes, Venus-Jupiter is certainly the key pairing. Besides the close conjunction (one of his two or three most important aspects), he is also a Sagittarius-Libra - another way of saying Jupiter + Venus.

Just finished watching a 2 hour special on the making of Jaws which was released (Universal Pictures) on June 20 1975. Nobody in the Industry thought very much of this movie meeting any commercial success from a young unheard Director named Steven Spielberg. Jaws became the highest grossing movie ever in 1975 and catapulted Spielberg to writing his own ticket for making any movie he wished to Direct or Produce in Hollywood. Just noticed when this movie was achieving its remarkable success in 1975, Spielberg was experiencing a p. Moon partile conjunct his p Jupiter. The 70’s were very special to me as a contract Booker (employee) for a small independent theater company. There were only 400 prints of Jaws available for national release date, and somehow (a long story) I was able to achieve one of these prints for the Gateway Theater in Decatur Alabama. I had to go through hell with the Branch Manager in Atlanta for Universal Pictures in securing a print of Jaws because Universal Pictures did not have Decatur as an A rated city in USA for first release movies on the national break for films. If I had not achieved a print of Jaws for Decatur on the national release date of June 20 1975, all movie goers in Decatur would have gone to Huntsville, Alabama to see Jaws. Those good ole memories of our past.

I was hired in 1971 by a small theater company to be managing director of their theater operations. In 1974 I was promoted to chief film buyer for the movies booked into the company’s theater screens. When Jaws was put on the summer release schedule of 1975, I picked-up Peter Benchley’s book Jaws and read it from cover to cover in about 3 hours. I said to myself OMG—this movie is going to do big business! One big problem—Universal Pictures did not have a first release print of JAWS scheduled for one of the company’s theaters. I had to get a stock holders phone vote to put-up a 10,000 K guarantee which was then a huge risk for the company for one movie, in order to “buy” a movie print of JAWS for one of the company’s theaters. The vote passed by a narrow margin. I told the city manager of the city JAWS was playing in to call me when he arrived at the theater for the opening of JAWS. He called me at 5:30 PM and said the line was already so-long (wrapped around the block) to purchase tickets, it would sell-out all the weekend seats---it was unbelievable. The decade of the 70’s was the decade when the word “blockbuster” was coined for the film industry, and Steven Spielberg was the Director who invented Blockbusters Movies---hence---lines wrapped around the “Block” to purchase tickets.
