Moon-Pluto week after week...

Post by Jim Eshelman »

As followers of mundane ingresses (or my monthly U.S. forecasts) know, we're in a long stretch when Pluto is near 0° Capricorn, meaning that every single week there is a Moon-Pluto conjunction, opposition, or square in the weekly lunar ingress for every location in the world.

This is true even if the ingress is dormant in that location, since Moon aspects are always important. There will be local variations - places where Moon-Pluto is stronger because it's on an angle, or places where there is a mundane Moon-Pluto aspect closer than the ecliptical one. Nonetheless, for things necessarily affecting the whole world at once, we have seen Moon-Pluto conjunct, opposite, or square within the usually effective 3° orb every single week for a long time.

I just realized when this began: December 2019. Think about it! That's exactly when Covid-19 was first known to break out in Wuhan, China! The timing is stunning.

When is it over? The first break is next spring. It comes back a couple of times, but the main break in the pattern (in the way that it affects the entire world) is March 2022. Here are the dates Pluto is within 3° of 0°00' Capricorn:

Feb 12 to Jul 9, 2019
Dec 20, 2019 to Mar 12, 2022
Jun 19, 2022 to Jan 13, 2023
Sep 13 to Nov 6, 2023

With all the world-destabilizing stuff that has been happening, this pandemic is obviously the one central event. I don't think it continues "in the wings" (the Pluto early passes or late passes) but, rather, is being defined by the central passage, December 2019 to March 2022. I still think things get lots better by Labor Day, but I think history will record the pandemic as covering these 27 months.
