Wildfires

Eight states have a wildfire as the worst natural disaster in their history. (For two states, its the same fire, so I'll only count that once.) Additionally, I've included the similarly styled 1933 Griffith Park fire, which is Los Angeles' deadliest fire (LA is almost another state, right? <g>).

I want to separately collate the chart factors of these eight stacks to see if they differ significantly from the fires previously studied, which have been all building fires.

The largest difference between the two sets (this small set of major wildfires, and the SMA catalogue of structural fires) is that, for the wildfires, Uranus is much more active, especially by lunar aspect. At first impression, this is reasonable for those fires where "flash fire" is quite common; however, the structural fires also have a lot of "take us by surprise:" conditions, so this may not be the key. In any case, the Uranus distinction is worth noting.

Let's break it down a bit more.

COMPARISON OF ANGULARITY FREQUENCY
Both groups have Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter as the three planets most angular, with Mars ahead of the other two. Three of the four least-angular planets are Mercury, Moon, and Venus in all three (Mercury least angular of those three). One difference is that, for the wild fires, Pluto is least angular, whereas for other fires Pluto is high-average.

COMPARISON OF MOON ASPECT FREQUENCY
Both groups have Neptune at the top of the Moon aspect list.

The wildfires, though having Mars frequently angular, have very few Moon-Mars aspects (unlike the SMA fires) and few Moon-Venus aspects. The latter may support my theory that Moon-Venus frequency in SMA fires is because so many of them occur in places of entertainment, though there is no similar ready explanation for the few Moon-Mars aspects.

After Neptune, the wildfires have Uranus and Saturn next most angular. Saturn isn't a surprise at all. As for Moon-Uranus aspects, this is not a surprise based on symbolism, but is a sharp contrast with the SMA (structural) fires where Moon-Uranus is second least common. Both groups have Moon-Mercury as the least common Moon aspect.

COMPARING COMBINATION OF ANGULARITY & MOON ASPECTS
Both data sets have Mars and Saturn as the two most common planets in the COMBINED list. For the fires studied n SMA, Jupiter and Neptune come next; for the wildfires, Uranus comes before them. Mercury, Moon, and Venus again bottom out both lists, except that the wildfires have Pluto as the absolutely least common planet.
