semi- and sesqui-squares in synastry

Jim, do you look at the sesquiquadrates and semisquares in synastry charts?
For example when there is a close square Mars and exact sesquiquadrate Saturn on my Moon from someone. I always feel a bit down after the conversation.
And if the Sun makes an exact sesquiquadrate with another's Moon, is this considered to be a connection?

I would consider them, yes, though secondary to the conjunctions, oppositions, and squares.
