Soldotna air taxi crash

An air taxi crashed tonight in Soldotna, Alaska, killing all 10 people aboard. The date is 7/7/13, but I don't have a time; however, CNN broke the news at 8:21 PM YDT, so it probably was shortly before that.

The Capsolar for Soldotna is ambiguous Jupiter is the closest planet to the angle (not quite 3° above the horizon in mundo), with Saturn and Sun right behind. The more recent Arisolar had nothing in the immediate foreground.

The Caplunar has Uranus 1°53' from the Descendant, with Mercury 2°03' (on the other side) of the MC. Broadly, the moon opposes Mercury and Venus near the MC, but the main features is Uranus with that Mercury, including a 3°56' Mercury-Uranus mundane square in the foreground of the Caplunar.

The Arilunar gives mixed messages. The three closest planets to the angle, in order, are Venus 1°59' from the IC; Jupiter 2°38' from the Ascendant (in 37' mundane square to the Venus); and Mars 3°00' on the other side of the Ascendant. Unless the Venus-Jupiter theme turns out to be connected to the crash, this chart seems mixed at best, and possibly not part of the story of the incident.

But the Capsolar Quotidian was on the job: Transiting Uranus was 0°08' from the Descendant, with t. Mercury 0°13' from the Midheaven. Another example of Mercury-Uranus for "accidents while travelling."

All the reports say shortly after 11 AM.

Of the ten people who died, 5 were a South Carolina family, including 3 children.

Venus.. children.. feels like every time you mention Venus prominent in a chart and it not making sense, the event involves children. Just an impression, probably based on I noticed it, so now I'm noticing it but not noticing when it doesn't fit.

It does happen a lot. Though Moon is even more common: Off the top of my head, Newtown, New London School fire, the Martin kid in Florida, lots more.

But today I just worked up Europe's worst mine disaster... lots of kids... two kinds of Venus-Saturn.

PS (later) - One of my basic interpretation statements for Venus foreground in a mundane chart is: "Her role in tragic events is the same: she fuels intense feelings for those we love. Especially when prominent and in combination with Saturn, Venus manifests powerful love combined with loss, manifesting as grieving."

Also, there is the particular way that Venus-Saturn and Venus-Pluto aspects mark "mourning" - powerful love + powerful loss, etc. Some events highlighting those include: For Venus-Saturn, a long list of major fires plus Princess Diana’s funeral (Liblunar) and the 2011 Oslo attacks (Caplunar). For Venus-Pluto, the Conway Theater Fire (Capsolar). one president's death (Garfield: Canlunar), King Edward VIII’s abdication (Liblunar + Moon), various war-related events, Oklahoma City bombing (Caplunar).
