Philadelphia rowhouse fire
January 5, 2022, 6:38 AM, Philadelphia, PA
Of 26 people in the Philadelphia Housing Authority owned building, 13 have died including seven children.
The fire department was called at 6:38 AM. Ignition was likely a bit earlier, since fire usually takes a while to spread enough and be noticeable. Four smoke detectors were not operating, which, of course, limited the escape time for some people. (I'm not clear whether this was all fire smoke detectors, or some of them worked but four didn't.)
The solar ingresses are quite excellent - close to perfect - but the daily timing is mixed and, on balance, poor.
Year: Capsolar {+2}

WOW Music Hall mass shooting
Jan 14, 2022, 9:29 PM, Eugene, OR (44N24'24", 123W49'59")
It looks like the old Capsolar went out with a bang bang bang
During a concert at the W.O.W. Music Hall in Eugene, Oregon, a mass shooting was originally reported on Twitter as leaving at least six people dead and many others injured. News accounts, though, report there were no deaths, though six people were taken to a hospital. Police are calling it "one of the highest-profile shootings... in the city of Eugene," but evidently with no casualties. (That's always good news, though it tends to compromise the astrology signatures.) - Reports started coming in (to the police) at 9:29 PM.
At the time of the shooting, Neptune was setting - I imagine there was chaos in the air - and Moon had recently opposed Mars. This, of course, is the setup for the new Capsolar which occurred only a short time later (Sun was 29°59'11" Sag for the shooting).
Year: Capsolar
(I'm unsure how to rate this. Venus exactly angular and unafflicted is wrong for a shooting. OTOH it was at a concert and nobody was killed. Venus-Neptune would be appropriate, but Neptune is barely foreground and they aren't in aspect. Then there is the mundane Moon-Mars square, unique to the region. I suspect this is a +1, but I'm not going to commit myself to a score.)

Tonga Volcano Eruption and Pacific Tsunami
An underwater volcano on the Tongan volcanic island Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai erupted on Saturday afternoon (15th January). Reuters gives 4:10AM GMT (5:10PM local Tongan time, GMT+13), though a New Zealand source gives "around 5:20PM and 5:28PM", and CNN gives "around 5:26PM". A partile Moon-Mars opposition was on the horizon.
The new Tongan Capsolar only began more than an hour later, at 6:48:10PM. Tonga's capital is Nuku'alofa. The volcanic island is some 65 kilometres north of it. The new Capsolar ecliptically shows Venus right on the Descendant, but is mundanely more than 3 degrees below the horizon. Previous Capsolar appears dormant unless you count Eris on Asc/EP.
The eruption was heard all the way in Alaska. The underwater volcano's crater was initially above the surface but is now submerged.
Tonga was soon hit by a 1.2 metre (4 feet) high tsunami and flooded the capital. Nearby islands like Fiji and American Samoa were also hit. There is little information from Tonga as of right now due to internet and communications cuts from 6.40PM yesterday. Waves reached all the way to Japan and New Zealand in the Western Pacific, and Santa Cruz, CA and Peru in the Eastern Pacific, flooding harbours and docks.
Hope Jim, Marion, Danica, Mike, Avshalom and everyone in the Pacific coast are alright. I notice that most tsunami advisories are now removed.

Jakarta earthquake
A day prior (Jan 14), Jakarta was hit by a 6.6-magnitude earthquake that shook high-rises for more than 10 seconds. Wikipedia gives 4:05:52PM local time (GMT+7) for the earthquake, whose epicentre was in the middle of the Sunda Strait.
Buildings damaged, a few injured but no reports of casualties so far.
Jakarta's 2021 capsolar had the dreaded Mars-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus combo on angles, with only Saturn not being partile on some angle (but still very close).

Re: Tonga Volcano Eruption and Pacific Tsunami
Thanks, Scales. I spent so much time on this (on a FB page for mundane astrologers) yesterday that I thought I'd also posted it here.TheScales_BothWays wrote: Sun Jan 16, 2022 12:00 am An underwater volcano on the Tongan volcanic island Hunga Tonga–Hunga Haʻapai erupted on Saturday afternoon (15th January). The timing was initially vague because this volcano has actually been erupting since December. (It didn't suddenly become active.) Then there were more significant eruptions that caught the media's attention on the 14th and 15th (actually, several across those days), with the most significant seeming to be one that was so strong it registered as a magnitude 5.8 earthquake - which means we can track it through USGS. The full data are January 15, 2022, 4:14:45 UT, 20S32'48", 175E23'52" with a partile Moon-Mars opposition across the EP axis and horizon, square Neptune.
Wikipedia has a page up now (they didn't yesterday): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Hung ... nd_tsunami
There wasn't much in the ingresses with one exception: The highly reliable "chart of the week," which in this case was the Arilunar, was a near cop of the eruption chart with the Mars-Neptune square right on the angles.
The tsunami was the main effect. While there was some damage, including two deaths, it was overall a slight event compared to most similar events. I did find it humorous, though, with severe West Coast U.S. warnings, to wake up on the first morning of the new Capsolar to tsunami warnings. They amounted to nothing here, but Mars-Neptune is, after all, usually panic more than actual damage - that is, panic is a more reliable result - though, obviously the panic can come from something real just as much as from something that doesn't amount to much.
The tsunami effect btw (as I've documented meticulously for earthquakes) is consistent with Jupiter angular (0°41' from Nadir) in the Caplunar.

Re: Jakarta earthquake
I'd missed this entirely. Full data: January 14, 2022, 9:05:42 UT, 6S55'45'', 105E15'05''. Again we find, in the event chart, the Mars-Neptune square, Mars 0°32' below Dsc, Neptune square it from near MC.TheScales_BothWays wrote: Sun Jan 16, 2022 12:21 am A day prior (Jan 14), Jakarta was hit by a 6.6-magnitude earthquake that shook high-rises for more than 10 seconds. This last day of the old Capsolar had a number of events - more violent specific events than in most of the prior year - as if it were getting its last word in before handing off to a new volatile chart. That also means that places with volatile Capsolars and Cansolars had their quotidian angles return to the original angles (or, for the Cansolar, the opposite MC) retriggering everything from the original chart. Nature is elegant in her communication.

Pittsburgh bridge collapse
January 28, 2022, just before 7:00 AM, Pittsburg, PA near Frick Park
Nobody died, but at least 10 people were injured when a bridge collapsed this morning (from excessive snow weight) in the city Pres. Biden was already scheduled to visit to discuss the need for infrastructure investment. The collapse also caused "a massive gas leak," now controlled.
For convenience, I'll use 6:45 AM, not that it matters much. A Mercury-Pluto conjunction was about to rise and, perhaps more importantly, local NC had just squared Saturn.
I always forgot what the signature is for structural collapses: We have too few great examples and the signature has been a moving target as new examples were added. According to the corresponding chapter in the most recent edition of Sidereal Mundane Astrology, the (usually high casualty) important structural collapses studied are most marked by angular Pluto and Mars, least often by angular Moon, Mecury, and benefics, except that Venus-Pluto aspects are most common. Jupiter is rare, except that Jupiter when aspected by Saturn and/or Uranus is common, especially when weight or weakness were issues. Moon aspects Neptune, Uranus, and Sun, while avoiding benefics. - Will this pattern math for this timely, news-grabbing, no casualty event? (The Capsolar gets it off to a great start.)

Baby Elephants
January 7, 2022 at 11:32 AM CST, the first baby elephant in the history of the Henry Doorly Zoo was born. The Elephant Amphitheater is at 3901-, 3999 S River Dr, Omaha, NE 68108, 41.22349392658988, -95.925671614128.
Mother and daughter were surrounded by the other elephants during and after the birth. It was a forest of elephant legs and trunks.
Then on January 30, 2022 at 9:08 PM CST, the second baby elephant in the history of the Zoo was born. This is a boy. Same place, same very protective herd.
The zoo, having lost all but one of it's elephants to old age, brought a herd of six or seven elephants that were starving in Africa because of severe drought to live in it's fancy elephant exhibit a couple years ago. These are those elephants.

Re: February 2022 events
The political and military implications of this invasion are quite severe. The US is fairly certain not to put boots on the ground, but the world is wondering if the sanctions are sufficient to have enough impact on Russia to deter Putin. The Ukrainians are fighting with admirable bravery to defend their nation, and Russia is likely going to pay a higher price in blood than they anticipate, but they have the power to conquer Ukraine if that is Putin's wish. Two question immediately leap to mind.
1. Will Putin stop with Ukraine, or are the Russians going to invade Poland next, or another former Soviet republic? In the last case, the US won't put boots on the ground, but if the Russians invade Poland, Poland is a NATO member and an attack on one is an attack on all and the US and most of Europe is under treaty obligation to defend a member state. One of two things happen: most NATO countries honor their obligations, and we are faced with a potential WWIII scenario, or they don't and NATO is dead.
2. What is China going to do about this? Assuredly they are watching closely. Should Putin conquer Ukraine with no major consequences, I expect an invasion of Taiwan by the end of 2022 or early 2023. How does the US deal with that?
I don't have the experience with mundane astrology to see possible answers to these questions. I would love to hear from Jim and/or anyone else who has the expertise. My concern is mostly not for myself (Russia is unlikely to nuke Upland and vicinity, and I'm not sure China has the capability), but Josh is draft age. We don't have a draft now, but assuredly we will if WWIII breaks out.

Re: February 2022 events
I am against war whenever preventable and was impressed by the decision not to send combat troops into Ukraine. Nonetheless, for the last week the refrain that keeps floating through my head has been, "Why not let him take Austria? After all, historically they're the same people, its rightly part of Germany, right? And then Poland, well that's just next door and, really, who cares much what happens in Poland. And then..."
Perhaps the most serious limitation in understanding the larger picture is that we don't have a reliable birth time for Putin. He's the pivot point, the anchor and driving force. I think the 9:30 AM time is pretty good, but it's C data and I'm not going to rely on it.
Regardless (and perhaps this is what you wanted to know?), this was going to be a year of war (unless some other merciless Mars theme scarred the world like a worse virus out of control). The mundane forecasts for the 2022 Capsolar have said from the beginning some version of, "Moon opposite Mars (affecting the world as a whole). A state of alarm. Typical expressions: violence, blood, fire, earthquakes, accidents, other destruction; often significant loss of life. Other expressions: war, bombings and explosions, other attacks, deaths of leaders." Russia is stronger than U.S. this year: Besides Moon-Mars, we also have (mundane) Moon-Neptune. Both Washington and Moscow have Sun-Pluto angular in the Capsolar, but U.S. has Pluto dominant, Moscow has Sun dominant.
But Putin's chart... that's the puzzle. If the 9:30 time is correct, his current SSR has Jupiter (in the exaltation degree of Mars!) closely angular but a Moon-Saturn square. Saturn reaches that Jupiter degree in April. Solar arc Saturn conjoins his Mars this year (it's already peaked). If the birth time is correct, solar arc Pluto is about to cross his Ascendant matching his natal Pluto on MC; but we don't have the certainty to count on that.
In two years he has a progressed Moon-Sun conjunction. A year after that, progressed Sun conjoins his Mars. This is all in the general range of OUR next Presidential election.

Re: February 2022 events
BTW, I don't think Putin's birth DATE is correct. Purportedly, KGB agents are trained to never disclose accurate data. If he was born one day earlier, the chart makes vastly more sense - an Aries Moon instead of Taurus (that Taurus Moon has always bugged me), and if exactly one day earlier would have a precise Moon-Jupiter conjunction in Aries, angular.
But this is conjecture. I have no way to confirm this theory.

There has been a lot of interest among astrologers on what this event was for the United States. Clearly we're in the mix (though I think of this as primarily a Russia vs. Ukraine event).2022 February 24, 6:07 AM BAT - study separately for Moscow and Kyiv
How much "in the mix" we are becomes clear in an instant when you see that the CanQ Ascendant for Washington, DC at the time the attack began was... 26°10' Sagittarius! Compare:

Las Vegas hookah parlor shooting
February 26, 2022, about 3:15 AM, Las Vegas, NV
https://www.usnews.com/news/us/articles ... 2-critical
At Manny's Glo Afterdark hookah bar, 14 people were shot, resulting in one death and two people with critical injuries. Events began when two people at a party "got into an altercation and exchanged gunfire." Moon was rising and Pluto on EP for the shooting.
The Capsolar (as far away as Las Vegas) has the West Coast trouble placements we've been discussing for California - quite fitting. The Liblunar zeroes in on the week. A Mars transit is quite close for the final day but also affects the world, so I don't think the 'finish' is very strong.

Sacramento church shooting
February 28, 2022, shortly before 5:00 PM, Sacramento, CA (at 38N36'02'', 121W25'08'')
A shooter killed his three children, one other person, and then himself in a Sacramento area church earlier today (Church in Sacramento on Wyda Way). This occurred during a supervised visit of the man with his three kids. At 5 PM, Saturn was exactly conjunct Moon, crossing various angles, most exactly WP-a (adding Moon is typical of events involving children).
Under a terrible Capsolar, the quite descriptive totally Caplunar confirmed the tone, the CapQ angle swung into exact alignment, and then the Moon-Saturn conjunction in space was partile and swung to an angle at just the wrong time and place.

Des Moines tragedies
March 7, 2022, 2:48 PM CST, Des Moines, IA (East High School 41N35'49", 93W36'00")
Des Moines, IA has had several tragic days. On Saturday (March 5), seven people (ages 2 to 72) died near Des Moines from a series of tornadoes.
Then, yesterday we were reminded that with kids physically back in school, we're back to kids getting killed at school. The 13th school shooting of the year was a drive-by at East High School that killed one kid and hospitalized two others in critical condition. (The 15-year-old who died was the only one of the three that wasn't a student at that school.)
As often happens, the event chart for the shooting wasn't all that impressive except in the broad sense that there was a partile Moon-Saturn conjunction (but nothing at the moment to anchor it to that location). The Caplunar, which covered both events, was right on point.
However, the daily timing completely blew it. (It's rare, almost unprecedented, that it missed the mark this solidly.) - But then, I checked the Arisolar and Libsolar for daily timings something the statistics show we should expect to be important with a silent CapQ, and we see the local impact of the day quite clearly.
Notice that last April's Arisolar seems to have had an unusual hold on the area. I fully understand why it became the trigger chart for this event, though I don't know why it seems to have had such a persistent hold on the area. On investigation, would we learn (for example) that this shooting (seemingly targeting the one boy that was killed) traced back to events almost a year ago that hadn't run their course yet? - Anyway, the chart had Saturn 0°53' from Dsc, Venus 1°43' from MC (they're in 0°50' mundane square/paran), with Pluto 0°40' from WP-a, a foreground Sun-Pluto square, etc.

Sunset was 7:54 PM at Andrews, TX. Twilight continued for more than an hour. For working purposes, I'll estimate that this crash, characterized as "Tuesday evening" and occurring after a golf tournament during the day, occurred bout 9 PM.A summary by CNN wrote:A 13-year-old boy was behind the wheel of a pickup truck involved in a head-on collision in Texas that killed nine people, including six University of the Southwest golfers and their coach, a National Transportation Safety Board official said yesterday. The crash occurred after the college students were returning home from a golf tournament. Two survivors of the crash, both students, are still hospitalized. Preliminary reports indicate a spare tire on the pickup truck failed, causing the vehicle to pull into oncoming traffic on a two-lane roadway. Both vehicles were likely moving close to the posted speed limit of 75 mph, an official said.

Japan offshore quake
I have a few minutes today to work this up. Even though it was offshore and minimal consequences, it still was pretty big. We already have an angular Uranus-Pluto square for the Year, Jupiter for the Quarter (a single Jupiter is permissible if there was a tsunami: I have no idea if there was), and another Uranus-Pluto square foreground for the Week.March 16, 2022, 14:36:33 UT, 37N42'06'', 141E35'16'' (38 mi ENE of Namie, Japan)
I didn't have the chance to check the day before. Here it is:
CapQ & Capsolar Transits
p Asc op. t Saturn 0°32'
p MC sq. s Saturn 1°55'
p EP op. s Mercury 0°33', t Venus 0°58'

Despite the strong Capsolar Quotidian, the Cansolar takes the lead by providing us with the full Bridge, and timing the event closely, with accurate symbolism.

New Orleans wasn't the only spot hit by tornadoes yesterday, but it's the spot getting the news. To quote the Wikipedia article above:
The charts are amazing other than the Bridge (which is kinda sorta acceptable considering the enormous amount of water involved, but seems wrong on first impression). At approximately 7:25 p.m. CDT (00:25 UTC) on March 22, a large tornado moved through the eastern suburbs of New Orleans, first originating near Gretna in Jefferson Parish. The tornado damaged homes and power poles... before moving through parts of Terrytown and into the Algiers area of Orleans Parish. It moved... crossing the Mississippi River into St. Bernard Parish and the community of Arabi, just east of the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans... Moving through the middle of Arabi, the tornado caused severe damage to many homes and businesses... One person was killed in Arabi and numerous people were injured...

The slap heard round the world
March 27, 2022, 7:00 PM, Hollywood, CA
Will Smith's immediately famous slap of Chris Rock at last night's Oscars occurred approximately 7 PM, I am told. While I know LA has the worst Capsolar in memory, I really expected something fiercer than this - but it was certainly a memorable moment from the sound of things.22
But after the Capsolar, the rest of the charts just look like.., show biz!

Sacramento shooting
April 3, 2022, 2:00 AM, Sacramento, CA
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Sacramento_shooting
At least six dead, 10 wounded. USA Today described it as "a shooting rampage in downtown Sacramento" and gave the time officers arrived on the scene as "around 2 a.m." (so the shooting was likely a little earlier). LA Times said the shooting itself occurred "around 2 a.m." In a later report, the Times stated more strongly as "gunfire rang out around 2 a.m." The scene was described as "a lot of panicking and screaming" with no sense of where the shots came from.
Though in the wee hours, this occurred in Sacramento's downtown near the Capitol, in a concentrated restaurant and club area with, apparently, a lot of people still out in the streets and businesses. At last report, there are no leads and, therefore, no information about motives.
The charts are all quite good, including the Capsolar to top off the day; except that the Bridge is quite strange and doesn't seem to narrow the effect at all unless something about conditions and motive play up a Jupiter-Neptune theme.

Ketanji Brown Jackson
April 7, 2022, abt. 2:15 PM, Washington, DC
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson (b. September 14, 1970 in Washington, DC) was confirmed by the U.S. Senate 53-47. LA Times broke the story at 11:23 AM PDT (2:23 PM EDT), so I'm assuming the confirmation vote ended just before that. (I'll update the record if I get better timing.) NOTE: CNBC announced the confirmation at 2:18 PM. They probably had the post "locked and loaded" for instant breaking news reporting, so this is probably the minute it happened.
I'll discuss this further in a thread on President Biden's chart, but I'd expect this to show for a national event also. A Supreme Court justice approval by itself is news, especially one that had some definite bipartisan involvement; and this one is historic since she is the first Black woman appointed and confirmed to the court.
The Capsolar is interesting enough for showing an unprecedented event, although I almost want to reduce it to +1 because it shows rancor and emotional conflict that was remarkably absent during this confirmation. The Arilunar definitely shows conflict (though sometimes Mars-Saturn can mean breakthroughs); the lunar ingresses painted a more negative time. (At least I forecast that the Arilunar wasn't that important of a chart.) - I gave the Arilunar a point because, stripped of all the collateral aspects its symbolism is quite simple for an unprecedented lunar event, i.e., involving a woman.
But, for the day, the CapQ brought it home: This was a Pluto event from start to finish (with solar overtones since, among other things, it was a presidential appointment). (The CanQ, which isn't necessary in this case, was strange, though ultimately the 2' Jupiter angularity prevailed: The current Jupiter-Neptune conjunction has been behaving strangely: It may have been the bipartisan cross-over of three Republicans who do seem to thing "we do better together.")

Justice Brown Confirmation
The final vote and the debates leading up to it may not been particularly rancorous on the Senate floor (in the context of the bitter partisan divide in the USA), but conservative media was quite loud in its rancor, particularly the allegation she consistently has given light sentences for child pornography, which indeed she has--only in first offense, simple possession cases. Many jurists (some of them Republican appointees) regard the sentencing guidelines as excessively draconian in this type of case. The guidelines are quite appropriate for production and distribution for profit of child porn, and there is no evidence she has ever given a light sentence in such cases.

Re: Justice Brown Confirmation
My understanding is that, while lighter than the guidelines in some instances, her sentencing was always consistent with what other judged (across the political spectrum) handed down in comparable cases.
Lindsay Graham was a hoot as always, saying essentially, "I was going to support you but I don't like the people who like you." Any excuse for his vote, eh? Sen. Roy Blunt was the best evidence of how comments can be civil while voting must be political (and he was actually hilarious) with his clear, decisive statement that he was voting against her followed by several sentences praising her abilities and character.

Re: Justice Brown Confirmation
We are in full agreement, Jim. Justice Brown is eminently qualified, but most Republican Senators feel politically obligated to vote no on anyone Biden appointed regardless of how qualified. Indeed those who Republicans who voted yes may face primary challenges. I suspect we would be seeing a mirror image of this had Trump won reelection and had appointed an eminently qualified conservative to the seat.

Fire in New Mexico
This seems to be the story and an aggregate of the details. I'll look into it later today when I have some available minutes. (Thanks.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calf_Cany ... _Peak_Fire
Despite it's "megafire" name, it's not as big as some other fires in New Mexico nor the "Big Burn" (or "Great Fire of 1910") in Montana in which hundreds of smaller fires converged - but it definitely see s worth a look.
LATER: The fires converged during "extreme weather conditions" April 22, 2022, at 35N46, 105W30; that is, heightened wind fed the fires and drove them together. One report says they were driven together on 4/22; another says they were merged "by 4/23." (These aren't contradictory.) There are now over 100,000 acres burned. I'll use 0:00 MDT 4/23 as a good "working time."
The ingresses are not expressive of a fire unless it's of the fact that (other than burning acreage) it's been a mostly harmless event thus far. We'll have to see how it turns out when it's all over. However, the daily timing did show an unusual flare-up in the couple days prior, continuing into the day of the merge.

Hotel Saratoga explosion (Havana)
May 6, 2022, 10:50 AM, Havana, Cuba 23N08'01'', 82W21'28''
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saratoga_Hotel_explosion
A "massive" explosion substantially destroyed the Hotel Saratoga in Havana this morning (and destroyed cars and buses outside the hotel). Perhaps the most important detail is that the hotel is across the street from the Capitol building.
The cause is presently unknown. - We're still waiting or time information, but it seems to have been before 11 AM EDT. UPDATE: A gas leak is expected as the cause. UPDATE: NYTimes now says it was "shortly before 11 AM." A local station cites one social media report that it was 10:50 AM.
A search is underway for survivors. UPDATE 6/22/22: 47 deaths, 52 others injured.
The explosion occurred bizarrely as Venus (exalted) crossed Midheaven. It's only close aspect s a 0°04' novile (40°), i.e., a conjunction in the Novien, and a wider (0°27') novile to Uranus; thus, Ve = Sa/Ur at exact 40° intervals.

Buffalo supermarket shooting
May 14, 2022, about 2:30 PM EDT, Buffalo, NY 42N54'35'', 78W51'09''
A mass shooting at the Tops Friendly Market supermarket killed 10 people and injured three others. The shooter wore tactical gear and livestreamed the shooting. This is the largest mass-shooting ever in Buffalo. It's being investigated as a hate crime and is characterized in the media as "racially motivated," but police say motives still aren't clear. A suspect was taken alive and has been arraigned on first degree murder charges.
CNN reported that the shooter pulled into the parking lot about 2:30 PM. Wikipedia currently shows the shooting occurring from 2:30 to 2:40 PM. Since it was livestreamed on Twitch, an accurate time should be obtainable, not that it matters much for our purposes. (The event chart is quite boring, as often occurs.)

The daily timing has a lot of Jupiter. This reinforces the idea that it was a hate crime: Jupiter is a main final timer for ethnic-themed crimes. However, with what we currently know, including that this is Buffalo's worst shooting ever, I have to score these negatively.

Brooklyn St. Augustine's church angel decapitation
This was sometime between Thursday, May 26, 6:30 PM and Saturday, May 28, 4:00 PM, so I suppose 5 pm Friday, May 27 is about the center of it. It was in Brooklyn.
The entire period had a Venus-Pluto square that strikes me as fitting for the angel decapitation. It happened to fall on angles of this year's Capsolar for Brooklyn. It also fell angular (with Moon) in the May 26 Arilunar, the local "chart of the week."
So, this was a local event of no great worldly consequence but still showed valid symbolism for the assault and mutilation of a place called "our lady," probably most reflecting local people's loss of something they loved. (Oh, yeah, Saturn squared MC in the Caplunar.)

I just watched the movie The Laundromat and this was in the news about the Outcome of "The Panama Papers"....they were acquitted in Panama.
With Saturn moving into Aquarius and the talk about pipelines this seems like other sorts of pipelines are also in play.

Afghanistan mag 5.9 earthquake
June 21, 2022, 20:54:36 UT, near Khost, Afghanistan at 33N05'33'', 69W30'49''
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_2022 ... earthquake
This was a big one. Three different 5.9 earthquakes have struck in the world in the last few days (one in Taiwan, one in Japan), but this is the only one reported as causing serious damage (apparently due to its shallow depth). At least 1,000 people died from this quake on the Afghan-Pakistani border (with at least another 1,600 injured), making it one of the deadliest of all time (and the deadliest in Afghanistan in over 20 years). At least 25 villages were nearly eradicated and hundreds of other buildings collapsed or were badly damaged. The quake was felt from Iran to southern India. (USGs gives 5.9, though at least one major seismic monitoring center claims 6.2.
UPDATE 6/23/22: Over 1,500 dead, over 3,000 injured (in Afghanistan alone), plus a few dozen in Pakistan.
Wind and heavy rain in the mountainous region where the quake struck hardest are prevent helicopter landings. Therefore, though search and rescue is underway, recovery and medical treatment are being impeded.

UPDATE: Numerous news sources have now confirmed 10:10 AM, so I've adjusted the above from the presumed 10:11.

Gun bill headed to the White House
In better news, the first "they didn't do much but at least they finally did something" federal gun bill in almost 30 years passed the House today and is en route to the White House for the president's signature.
This leaves a most fascinating condition. If he signs it, say, tonight, then all the mundane charts will be essentially the same as for Dobbs this morning.
