East Harlem apartment explosion

Post by Jim Eshelman »

Apparently caused by a gas leak, this occurred March 12, 2014, 9:31 AM near 116th Street and Park Avenue in upper Manhattan. Two buildings were leveled. At least 7 have died and almost 70 were injured. (Some people are still missing.)

Capsolar
The East Coast Capsolar is essentially the same as for DC. There is plenty of Mars, Uranus, and Pluto to mingle with the Moon, Jupiter, and Venus. The narrow charts probably will sort out the fine points.

Lunar Ingresses
The Caplunar and new Canlunar are both dormant. The intervening Arilunar has Neptune square the MC, which is about all we're going to get out of these lunar ingresses.

Capsolar Q & Transits
Nothing distinctive to the location. We do have a world-wide transit of Pluto opposite Capsolar Moon (about half a degree at the moment).

Cansolar Q & Transits
Nothing. Or, worse than nothing. Transiting Jupiter is within 2° of the Cansolar Asc, and overall I think what was operative were Jupiter-Pluto factors. Pretty disappointing on the whole, though.

Event Chart
The explosion occurred the minute Mars was exactly square the Midheaven.
