Malcolm X was murdered in New York City on February 21, 1965. I'm not sure of the time of the shooting, but he was pronounced dead (from 21 separate gunshot wounds) soon after at 3:30 PM.
The Capsolar gets the symbolism off to an excellent start. The lunar ingresses are then neutral at best, inappropriate at worst. However, the mid-term was covered by aspects involving the solar ingress Moons, and the daily timing was starkly on target.
PRECIS
Solar: Uranus, Pluto (Mars, Saturn). Moon-Uranus (Moon-Pluto).
Lunar: Moon.
Day: Moon, Jupiter, Neptune, Moon-Uranus, Jupiter-Neptune (CapQ). Mars, Pluto, Moon-Uranus (transits to Capsolar).
Year: Capsolar
Uranus sets (0°18')
Pluto on EP (0°43')
Saturn rises (5°07')
Mars sets (7°15')
-- Moon-Uranus sq. (1°47')
-- Moon-Pluto sq. (3°23')
Month: Caplunar
Dormant, but with the following (not particularly fitting) Moon aspects in the wide foreground:
Moon-Venus conj. (0°43')
Moon-Mercury conj. (0°47')
-- Mo=Me/Ve (0°02')
Fortnight: Canlunar
Moon rises (0°22')
Week: Liblunar
Dormant.
Day: Capsolar Quotidian & Transits
p. Moon-Uranus sq. (0°14')
CapQ Asc conj. t. Jupiter (0°54'), s. Jupiter (1°59')
CapQ Asc op. s. Neptune (1°31'), t. Jupiter (1°53'), t. Moon (0°41')
The Moon-Uranus progression is on-target. Jupiter-Neptune is also accurate for three reasons: First, it was key for several key events during this heightened phase of the Civil Rights movement the Selma marches and Dr. King's murder. Second, it is quite common for several leader deaths (especially murders), which I think is related to religious, political, and other ideological issues motivating the events. Third, this was specifically an event in a religious (and political) conflict. Consider the deaths of the two U.S. presidents killed by men whom "God told to shoot the president," plus the murders of Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy.

Re: Malcolm X Murder
Based on recent discoveries, here are the "bridge" factors we would have had to deal with to determine that an event of this sort would occur at this general time of this year.
Bridge
CapQ Moon-Uranus sq. (0°14')
t. Pluto op. Capsolar Asc (1°30')
t. Mars sq. Capsolar MC (1°22')
t. Uranus sq. Capsolar Moon (0°28')
The murder occurred in New York City on February 21, 1965, estimated 3:00 PM. How do the above events narrow the time frame by themselves?
CapQ Moon squared Uranus 2/2 to 5/24. Pluto opposed Capsolar Ascendant 1/15-3/12. This gives us a starter window of 2/2-3/12. During this period, Uranus squared Capsolar Moon 2/8 to the end, narrowing the window of radical, disruptive major events to 2/8-3/12.
Within this time, Mars hit a Capsolar angle (either square MC or on WP) 2/19-3/6. This would be the expected event window.
