Mogadishu hotel bombing

Post by Jim Eshelman »

In Mogadishu, Somalia, Islamist militants stormed a hotel yesterday, blew up the front gate, shot guests and hotel staff, and then had an hours-long TV-worthy rooftop battle with security forces. At least 14 people were killed.

I don't have a time, but they were overpowered by 11:00 am after what was called a several hours battle, so I'm going to estimate 7:00 AM (not that an exacting time matters.

Here are the main features:

The Capsolar was a very kind chart for the most part. Overall, a good year was expected.

The Cansolar turned the tide beginning in July, bringing Uranus especially to the angles along with various degrees of Mercury, Mars, and Pluto. It is tense, explosive, and threatening.

The effective "chart of the week" (the last non-dormant lunar ingress) is the Liblunar October 13, with Saturn 1°20' from Midheaven and a foreground Venus-Saturn square (< 2°).

The CapQ, as usual, shows the horror and ugliness of the day. At 7:00 AM:
9°09' Scorpio t. Saturn
10°45' Aquarius p. Asc
10°50' Aquarius s. Neptune
