Venus in SSR

Post by Veronica »

I have felt for sometime that the Venus placement in an SSR has more of a voice then I had given it credit for. Given that it is always in close proximity to the Sun, I wondered about my own life experiences and how Venus may explain some of my cyclic patterns that I experience. I dont know if this has any true value or meaning, or if this is something you all allready were aware of but I took the time to run through my SSRs and actually plot out my Venus placements to see just where in my charts it was. To my surprise I found a very clear pattern of placements, which I now see as Venus's path around the Earth. Venus in my SSRs has a limited range of potential placement, and a very predictable pattern for the most part. I had often wondered what a year would be like if my SSR Venus would be close to aspecting my Sun/Moon/Neptune/Jupiter and I will just have to wonder because it looks like Venus will not make that aspect for me. It was very interesting to me to see this pattern and I thought I'd share it for others. Any ideas or feedback on this is very welcome. I have a few ideas about this cycle/pattern and my Venusian experiences and I plan on compiling my family members to see what I can grok about thier life and if this Venus position adds true meaning to thier SSR in any way.
My Venus placements are as follows (each line is one year)

I'm curious what patterns you are seeing.

Venus will always be within 48° of Sun, meaning it can only be in the Sun-sign or one of two signs on either side (five-sign range). It spends most of its time near the semi-square (Venus semisquare Sun just might be the most common aspect in the world).

I haven't previously found the sign of anything in the SSR to be important. (I can't even make the case for the SSR's Moon sign.) The main Venus importance would be when it was closely angular and, of course, aspecting Moon.

Running 35 years of your solar returns beginning in 1990 (using your birthplace, which is close to where you've lived since IIRC), and only visually scanning (not doing the full mundane calculation), I see transiting Venus angular in 1990 (close, but closely conjunct Saturn), 2000 (widely angular but mentioned because it exactly squared Jupiter), 2010 (moderately angular and square a closely angular Jupiter; but consider Pluto on Descendant), 2015 (moderately angular and closely conjunct Mars). SSR Moon closely aspected transiting Venus in 2020 (2°20'.

I see an 8 year pattern.
except for one instance, Venus returns within a small degree to its place at birth. The sign placement and degrees in those eight years are consistent so that one could fairly accurately predict that every 8 years I will have an SSR with Venus conjunct Venus. The degrees in which my Venus falls in Capricorn Saggitarius Pisces and Aquarius are all striking similar. Venus also for me is only ever in 4 signs, not five.

I dont think this pattern is only in my chart but is in everyones.

Yes. Earth and Venus orbits match up every 8 years like clockwork. Venus always returns to basically the same degree on the same day every 8 years.

You're exactly right.

Wow!
That's really beautiful.
It made me wonder the notion of the phrase 7 year ich.

Pentagram of Venus; scroll down to almost half the following link for section on Pentagram for Venus.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus#:~: ... han%200.01.

For most of my astrological life I have known about this astonishing geometric Pentagram motion of Venus in the heavens relative to Earth infused in Nature, and it always reminds me when we see benefic set-ups with Venus in charts, it is symbolizing pure geometric Harmony of some kind. And we all know love of any kind vibrates harmony. :)
