2022 FIFA World Cup

Post by TheScales_BothWays »

Has anyone been looking into the 2022 FIFA World Cup? Do let me know if there's already a thread on it.
Otherwise, allow me to kickstart discussions :D

I haven't been watching the matches myself, and we're only just entering knockouts with the round of 16 matches (the matches prior to the quarter finals), but I've already heard of the many surprises and upsets throughout the group matches.

If anyone wishes to see the latest results, simply Google "World Cup" and you'll see a handy table with the info you need. Head to the "standings" section to see group rankings, and for the upcoming knockout matches, check out the "bracket" section.

Germany and Belgium did not even make it to the knockouts, in a shocking upset. Belgium has Western Europe's Mars-Moon on Capsolar angles while Berlin has the Moon on the Descendant. Spain, which also has Mars-Moon on angles, only barely made it to knockouts.

The US has been doing surprisingly well, with its classic "underdog" Pluto angularity. Sun is also angular, and Jim mentioned that the Sun in sports astrology is the "hero archetype". While I might be mistaken, I do notice more praise and support for the American team, from Americans themselves, who typically aren't as eager fans of the sport they call soccer. 😆

Japan is doing amazing, beating Germany and Spain in group matches even though they lost to Costa Rica. There's nothing much on Capsolar and Cansolar angles, but throughout the duration of the World Cup, t.Jupiter squares Tokyo's Capsolar ascendant! I have a Japanese classmate in university who's very encouraged and excited to see her national team's performance.

Brazil is doing alright even though they lost a match to Cameroon. Brasilia's Capsolar has t.Jupiter on IC with nothing else.

Western Europe's Mars-Moon urges me to keep a close watch into France, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands' performance in upcoming matches.

We'll see who makes it to the quarter- and semi-finals :D

Netherlands vs USA

Post by TheScales_BothWays »

One of tonight's knockout matches is Netherlands vs USA.

The Dutch have a very strong team; it would take lots of effort and luck to beat them. But the US does have an angular Pluto and its underdog streak, whereas Amsterdam has Western Europe's Mars-Moon angularity. Though I suppose the Moon is out of orb for Amsterdam.

I plan to watch it live. 11pm isn't too late for me and US folks (especially East Coasters) could watch it comfortably on a Saturday morning.

Awesome Scales for bringing this up.
Amsterdam might be working but the Dutch team domicile is Zeist.

Statistics has proven to me when World Cup reaches elimination games for top 16 teams, betting the favorites win $. Last World Cup every favorite won except one. Let’s see if this formula wins again, betting 50 $ on every favorite. Today’s 2 games:
1:
USA + 322
Netherland -116
Netherland wins 3-1
2:
Australia + 1066
Argentina - 492

I am 5-0 with my World Cup wagering on the favorites, but today (12/6) because of the transit action I see with Bern, Switzerland’s Year & Quarter Charts, I will deviate from betting on the favorites and wager 25% of my winnings on Switzerland +200 as an underdog to win vs Portugal (Lisbon). So far, the favorites are 6-0 in the World Cup round of 16. I may regret going against Portugal as a -300 favorite, but I am now betting on the book’s $—not my $. I will bet another 25% of my winnings on favorite Spain vs Morocco today.

Bern Switzerland’s has a most interesting Libsolar Quarter Chart which could be read as an “out of the ordinary” benefic hero sports chart. It may become interesting how far Switzerland’s Libsolar takes em in this World Cup.

I see what you mean. Nice catch! For Bern, incredibly exact angularities (and Su/Ve 0°05' from MC):

Round of 16 comes to an end with the betting favorites count of 7-1, Switzerland was defeated by Portugal 6-1 so no “out of ordinary” Libsolar hero sports event for Bern. 7 games left including the final match for the World Cup. So far, my wagers are 5-2 with me losing half my winnings yesterday's 2 games.

Next 2 games 12/9 with Brazil -675 vs Croatia + 375; Argentina -180 vs Netherlands + 180. For my next wager I will bet my remaining winnings on Brazil.

Here are the betting odds for the remaining 8 teams to win the World Cup:
Brazil +175
France +400
England + 600
Argentina + 600
Portugal + 600
Netherlands + 1400
Morocco +2800
Croatia +3300

Croatia vs Brazil

Post by TheScales_BothWays »

SteveS wrote: Sat Dec 10, 2022 5:52 am Croatia the least favored team stunned the heavily favored Brazil team with a huge upset yesterday.
Brazil late in the match (during extra time) scored a goal - they would've won if they had stopped Croatia from scoring another goal soon after. As extra time ended with a tie, the match then went to penalty shootouts, where Croatia has shined in past games.
Croatia's goalkeeper was excellent throughout the match and did not underperform in the penalties, bringing his team a 4-2 victory.

Looking at the astrology:
Zagreb's Capsolar has Uranus and Venus on angles. Venus in football/soccer matches have shown to lean benefic.
Brasilia's Capsolar has Jupiter on IC.

Zagreb's CapQ doesn't have anything, whereas Brasilia's CapQ has Sun-Pluto on IC with t.Pluto.

Looking into the Cansolar,
Zagreb: Jupiter on IC
Brasilia: Mars partile on Desc, Pluto close to IC

Based on this alone, we have a clear loser: Brazil with Mars angularity.

But do Cansolars supersede Libsolars in sports charts, when the Libsolar is active?
Zagreb's Libsolar has Moon sq. MC partile.
Brasilia's Libsolar is dormant unless you count Sedna's angularity.

Morocco is shaking the world cup! Bringing much surprise and excitement to this year's games with the wins against Spain and Portugal. Morocco's goalkeeper has also been performing excellently.

Morocco shares the same Moon-Mars Capsolar angularity as much of Western Europe. But Mars is technically out of orb (4*15') in Rabat, whereas Madrid and Lisbon has both in orb, with Moon partile in the former and Mars partile in the latter. Could this be what distinguishes these three teams?

Looking further into the Morocco vs Spain match (6 Dec) both Rabat and Madrid's CapQ's and Cansolars are dormant, but I spot a "loser factor" with Madrid's CanQ, where CanQ Mars conjuncts EP, though in eclipto. Rabat doesn't have this.

Looking further into the Morocco vs Portugal match (10 Dec) both CapQ and Cansolars are also dormant. Looking into CanQ, both Lisbon and Rabat have CanQ Saturn partile sq Asc, but Lisbon has it closer (0*04' vs 0*16) and Lisbon also has CanQ Mars conj EP in eclipto like what Madrid had.

Though to be fair, Rabat has a Libsolar with Mars-Mercury angular, and in its LibQ for match day, Saturn was partile on Asc.

Three of these teams are now out. I wonder how France's semi-finals match with Morocco will unfold. France has a great team while Spain's wasn't as good as back in 2010, and I've heard criticisms of Portugal's team as well.

Looking at the charts:

Paris's Capsolar has Mars partile with Moon 2 degrees away, Rabat has Moon a little closer with Mars technically out of orb.
Paris's CapQ on match day (Dec 14) has Mars on EP in eclipto. Rabat doesn't have anything on the angles.

Paris's Cansolar has Moon-Neptune (Moon is 1*51' from IC) on IC while Rabat's is dormant.
Paris's CanQ has nothing on angles but Rabat's has Mars sq MC.

Paris's Libsolar has Mars 3*48' but that would be out of orb, whereas Rabat's has Mars-Mercury about 2* from angles.
Nothing on LibQ for both.

France won against England 2-1.

Both Paris and London have similar charts. What distinguished England as the clear loser, IMO, is Saturn's square to the Ascendant in London's Cansolar, giving a Moon-Saturn co-angularity, vs France's Moon-Neptune. After all, Saturn is the no.1 factor we look for in determining "losers".

As a cherry on top, t.Mars was also conj. London's Libsolar descendant.

Aside from questioning the usefulness of an already questionable horary technique outside of horary, you must be using the Tropical zodiac - because in the Sidereal zodiac, Moon is newly in Libra on the 18th.

Croatia vs Morocco

Post by TheScales_BothWays »

Third place goes to Croatia as they beat Morocco 2-1 in yesterday's 3rd place match.

The astrology's simple: Rabat's Capsolar has Moon angular (with some Mars) whereas Zagreb's has Venus-Uranus angular. Moon and Mars are clear "losing" markers.

Finals: Argentina vs France

Post by TheScales_BothWays »

The match we've all been waiting for will begin in a few minutes :D

Jim in SMA mentioned that in predicting Super Bowl winners:
1.Most important to picking winners is to not focus on picking winners. Instead, pick losers. Only pick winners if you do not find a clear loser...
2. The Capsolar is the best guide to prediction, followed by the daily timings.
Paris's Capsolar has Moon and Mars angular.
Buenos Aires's Capsolar is dormant but has t.Saturn on Capsolar IC.
Interestingly Paris's CapQ has progressed Jupiter sq Asc. Buenos Aires's CapQ has Sun, Mercury and Uranus angular, which don't really tell us much in sports astrology.

This isn't my complete analysis, but Argentina is where I see Saturn being involved at all in the charts I've calculated. (t.Saturn conj Capsolar IC)

This match is so excitingly unpredictable.

Argentina shot a 3rd goal but 10 mins later France also shot its 3rd goal thanks to a penalty.
Extra time ended with a tie and the penalty shootouts began.

France missed two penalty kicks so Argentina wins by 4-2 in penalties! Argentina has won the World Cup after 36 years since its last victory in 1986.

What a wild match! My heart was pounding and I was kept on my toes the entire time.
