Great Boston Fire of 1872

Began November 9, 1872, 7:20 PM, Boston, MA.
Boston's largest urban fire, and the worst fire in American history measured by property loss. Beginning in a warehouse basement, it burned 12 hours, consuming 65 acres of downtown Boston including 776 buildings. Damages were assessed at $73.5 million ($1.495 billion in 2016). 13 people died. Economic impact was huge, as business suffered massive losses and several insurance companies went bankrupt in the face of the claims.

This was one year after the Great Chicago Fire.

The charts are excellent until the end. For the dailies, in particular, they let us down. Otherwise, there are some remarkable charts, especially with the repeated emphasis on Venus-Pluto in particular.
