Tyre Nichols & Breonna Taylor

Post by Jim Eshelman »

Breonna Taylor and Tyre Nichols were both born June 5, 1993.

They were born different places (Nichols was raised in Sacramento but no birth location confirmed yet) and presumably were born at different times. They were killed by police officers on different dates, at different times - one in Kentucky, the other in Tennessee, years apart - so this isn't a matter of any predictive chart.

It's all about the natals. It raises the question: What about June 5, 1993 makes it unusually likely that two people born then would suffer such a similar notorious fate?

To start, I cast a chart for 16:00 UT, which is halfway between noons of the respective time zones. Many interesting things occur in this chart, but the only highly suspect one to me - given their fate - is the 3-4° Mars-Pluto square.

Both had a Taurus Sun. One or both might have had a Scorpio Moon, though Moon was in Sagittarius nearly all day and is more likely for both. They (like millions of others) were born with a partile Uranus-Neptune conjunction in Sagittarius. An aspect with no particular seeming connection to what they had in common other than the broad idea that strong Uranus-Neptune aspect people tend to have their lives impacted by colliding realities and evolving or shifting social patterns, and seem to be more often mythic figures in the tale of the universe.

A dignified Mercury squares Jupiter - that's usually a quite positive aspect and, in fact, both were unfolding success in their lives when they died. An interesting Venus-Saturn sextile (possibly partile) that (if they were born near the middle of the day) might be a Moon-Venus-Saturn configuration, shows emotional elements that, again, probably have nothing direct to do with this.

But then there is that moderate Mars-Pluto square. We don't know where it fell in either chart. Mostly, I'd take it as positive because Mars is octile Mercury-Jupiter from their midpoint, seeming to be part of their success pattern. Mars-Pluto people have enormous stores of innate energy that seems to need some sort of expression or unleashing - or, otherwise, runs the risk that it will recoil. That is, these normally genial people are sometimes victims of violence unless they are expressing the energy themselves.

Or, at least, that's the usual interpretation. I question it just a little because, from what I can tell, both Nichols and Taylor were actively pursuing their careers and lives. They were expressing energy and applying will. The aspect does, though, often seem to mean that violence "has to be" part of the life.

It does also mean that they aren't particularly obedient to others' rules. It would be easy to leap to the idea that cop conflicts arise when people (especially Black people) don't follow authoritarian rules quickly and unthinkingly. Except that's not really the story for either of these people. We're left with more the sense that there was a promise of outright shocking violence in the life in some fashion. - Interesting to consider, for these two gentle Taurians.

Mars is in Cancer - its fall - where, nonetheless, it is usually pretty successful in life: confident, making things happen, producing, organizing, becoming a trusted advisor, and drawing on significant inner strength and imagination to hold any demons at bay.

Adding Sedna and Eris don't add anything clear. The Uranus-Neptune conjunction was in moderate square to Eris. Mars trined Eris closely, not a compelling or obvious aspect. Sedna is out of the aspect loop unless the two births were timed just exactly right to get a Moon-Sedna octile.

We can check other minor, potentially significant factors. It stands out that Sun was on Moon' south node (Class 1), making the Scorpio-Taurus axis of the nodes more important and playing to the idea that the Dragon's Tail is a more unfortunate contact, or tying them more into the community. Chiron is in partile conjunction with Mars, which at least plays up more powerful Mars themes (like any partile conjunction with Mars would do), but, of course, I have Mars conjunct Chiron 0°04' and have not had a life of violence or conflict with police. (Is there a common theme?) Ceres squares Uranus-Neptune and exactly trines Mars (so what?). I'd be more drawn to the Sun-Pallas square were it closer (it's a very wide Class 2). The Chiron and Ceres extra aspects to Mars make most sense (plus additional meanings of Sun-Cauda), but I'm not going to place much attention on them.

Bottom line, I think it was the Mars-Pluto somehow. But this chart for these two kind, creative, aspiring young people starting to be successful in life should give us all a few uneasy nights of sleep.

I can't imagine what these poor people must have gone through in the final moments, but the one thing I can add about living life is that I've always tried to be a person that is highly aware of themselves, the way other people perceive them, and how others interact with each other. I think having a real career recently just helped me to connect the dots about how small actions can have a cumulative effect. I would wager that people with Mars/Pluto aspects or poorly placed Mars aren't aware of the actions that drive them to the situations they reach in life. I used to be this way, and I don't know if it was my destiny to grow out of this or not.
