Malefic Ennead Chart For A Birth

SteveS wrote:Jim, on Nov 23rd 2014 2:00 pm, my nephew’s wife had to have an emergency C-section a month before the due date. Both the premature baby and the mother lives were in jeopardy, and the doctor told the family 3 days after the C-section the mother almost died. Both the mother and baby appear to be fine now. After looking at several sidereal astrology techniques, the chart which best symbolizes this event appears to be the mother’s Nov 15th Ennead, imo. When you have time I would like to have your sidereal astrology analysis of this event. Thanks

Mothers birth data: Aug 25th 1982, 11:08 PM, CDT, Amory, Mississippi. Present residence Birmingham, Al.

Nov 15 2014 Ennead: 6:37:44 AM CST Birmingham, Al. MC 10,23 Leo.

That's a fiercely bad Ennead, especially for maternal issues. Venus-Saturn straddle the Ascendant in close conjunction, and Moon opposition a stationary Neptune is along the meridian. Mundanely we see:

Neptune on IC (0°14')
Saturn rising (1°16' above)
Venus rising (2°13' below)
-- Venus/Saturn midpoint (0°29' from Asc)
Sun rising (3°04' above)
-- Sun/Venus midpoint (0°25')
Moon on MC (4°15')

Various aspects of these planets:
Saturn-Neptune sq. (1°02' in mundo)
Moon-Sun sq. (1°11' in mundo)
Sun-Saturn conj. (1°49' in mundo)
Moon-Neptune (2°05')
Venus-Neptune sq. (2°27' in mundo)
Sun-Neptune conj. (2°50' in mundo)
Venus-Saturn conj. (2°50')
Moon-Saturn sq. (2°59' in mundo)
Moon-Venus sq. (4°08')

I think Sun was the life-saver, adding vitality etc.

Natal Uranus and Sun were also involved, the natal Sun being both very strong and directly in the line of Neptune. So the event is described exceptionally by this chart, one of the best Enneads I've seen in years.

I'll look further over the course of the morning.

OK, let's look at everything else...

TRANSITS TO NATAL
There had been several difficult transits during the pregnancy, including recent passes of Neptune in opposition to natal Sun; Saturn on natal Descendant; and Mars square natal Saturn. These were out of orb by the day of the event, but surely affected the important stages moving up to the event. The only active transit to the natal at the time of the surgery was Mercury on her Descendant and, oh, this important pair:
t. Sun conj. r. Uranus (0°18')
t. Sun conj. r. Moon (1°01')

PROGRESSIONS
p. Venus square p. Neptune (0°11')
This certainly shows a backdrop of various emotions for the whole year, and climaxing about now. There was nothing on the SNQ angles.

SSR
The year was targeted as a difficult, crisis-and-difficulty year, more than a blessed one. The SSR has natal Saturn and Pluto on the IC, and that's about it. (Transiting Jupiter is widely foreground, natal Jupiter is barely within a 3° orb of square Ascendant, so there's a trace of what we expect for a birth; but not much.)

TRANSITS to SSR
t. Pluto conj. s. Pluto (0°45')
t. Saturn semi-square s. Pluto (0°24')
t. Mars just past s. WP and just short of sq. s. MC (midpoint, general "hot" few days)
t. Sun sesqui-square s. Uranus (0°25') - just as it aspected r. Uranus

SQ
In the SSR progressions, the Venus-Saturn square from the SSR had matured to within 0°10'. This surely was the main overall aspect of the time. In terms of angles, the SQ had:
s. Uranus conj. SQ Dsc (0°48')
t. Saturn sq. SQ MC (1°11')

SLR
Venus exactly rises (0°20'). Whatever else happened, let's remember also that this was a birth. Venus on the SLR angle for giving birth is one of the best documented predictive details. In this case, the Venus was squared by Neptune, so a wider range of emotions (amplified enormously) could be expected. The New Moon (0°10') foreground shows a significant turning-point life event (and, of course, triggers the natal Moon-Uranus conjunction). So a "weirder emotions than usual" giving birth is clearly shown.

So, in addition to the unusually on-target Ennead, the story seems to have been told by the following. I'm quite happy with how the "developing story" is shown - the final end to the story is almost an afterthought.

It was going to be a rough year, with the SSR dominated by Saturn-Pluto (but a little Jupiter "saving grace" around the edge). Additionally, transits were particularly harsh in a different way, with an ongoing opposition of Neptune to her Sun, Saturn recently crossing her Descendant - both of those taking weeks to complete - and, in the few days immediately before, Mars square her Saturn. (Mars was also making its way through the SSR angles, just before, during, and just after the date.) These (as transits often do) showed an ongoing process of physical and psychological troubles.

It's a bad Venus time: Her Secondary Progressions have had a building Venus-Neptune square (within 11' of exact at the event). The SSR's progressions (SQ) had Venus square Saturn matured to within 10'. For Venus matters, this is not a nice pair to have at the same time.

The SLR showed a birth and a new baby!

A few transits on the day showed such things as sudden events (sudden interventions), without being too specific about the nature (it had to be a surprise?). The SQ also threw a Saturn and a Uranus up for the day (but Uranus was the most consistently flagged planet for the actual day).

A ninth harmonic solar return. That is, transiting Sun's conjunction with points at 40° intervals from natal Sun.

SteveS wrote:Thanks Jim for your detailed analysis. My nephew asked me to meet with him Tuesday. The condition his wife had was Pre-Eclampsia which effects between 2-8 % of today’s pregnancy. The following link explains this condition:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-eclampsia

Years ago when my nephew was going to college he asked me to look at his charts about a very confused time in his life. Transiting Neptune was exactly on his Dsc at this time and I delineated this transit for him and afterwards he told me he walked in on his girlfriend in bed with another person—he was somewhat devastated by this Neptune experience. Anyway, he asked for my counsel about this pre-eclampsia situation with his wife pertaining to my astrological sight. I told him his wife still has some near-term rough cycles ahead of her. Note her Dec 5th demi-lunar and t- Saturn is approaching partile cnj to her angular natal partile Moon-Uranus conjunction. One of the symptoms of pre-eclampsia is elevated blood pressure, and note in the wikipedia article there is danger of pre-eclampsia continuing into the postpartum period. Another major symptom of pre-eclampsia is water detention in the body. Here is what Ebertin’s COSI says about the ‘Biological Correspondence’ of Moon-Uranus aspects:
The rhythm of the water-economy in the blood, disturbances of the blood pressure, colics of the water-excreting organs.
The doctors don’t seem to know or understand the cause of pre-eclampsia. BTW, my nephew told me that the main symptoms started with his wife on Friday Nov. 14th—one day before her nasty Nov. 15th Ennead. Note the rotational square of Saturn-Neptune in the Nov 15th Ennead. Cyril Fagan said rotational squares are very potent aspects. Ebertin says about Saturn-Neptune ‘Biological Correspondence:’
The chronic and unhampered progress of malady. Organic decomposition.
My nephew told me his wife’s kidney’s almost failed after the emergency C-section. Note in the wikipedia article: one of the main symptoms of pre-eclampsia is kidney malfunction. My nephew called me last night and told me he has hired a private nurse to be with his wife at home for the remainder of Dec, because of what I told him about his wife’s near-term astrological cycles. The premature baby remains in intensive care but is doing fine. Will update this situation as it progresses.

Out of curiosity and nit-pickiness, is this the time for the beginning of the operation process, or should we take this as the delivery time of the child?

They placed the Mother in the delivery/operation room already prepped at app 2:00 PM CST according to an assistant nurse. The family was addressed by the operating/delivery doctor app 3:15 PM CST in the waiting room. The delivery nurse personally looked and told me the baby was born 2:57 PM CST. Would love to have any opinions of the baby’s natal chart (male). I see a tremendous amount of Scorpio with Moon, Sun, Venus, Saturn in Scorpio with Mars 5,21 degrees from MC in mundo. The baby’s natal chart, with all the Scorpio energy, strangely describes the vibes for the entire family for this somewhat intense scary emergency C-section operation.

Reminds me of some of Fagan’s words where he states:
The prime timepiece or chronocrator is, of course, the Sun, and many events can be accurately dated by noting the dates on which its transits are partile.

I am now somewhat concerned with transiting Saturn very close to partile cnj her r. Moon-Uranus cnj. This indicates to me, at the very least, a slow recovery period with her health problems.

The education material for autism says it normally takes 1-2 years before the doctors can determine if a baby is autistic. Last night my wife asked me to look at the mother’s next 3 years of SSR’s to see when there may be high probability when the mother would discover, if indeed, her son would be autistic. Her 2016 SSR offers very nasty symbolism for the possible discovery of an autistic son. My wife and I will keep this SSR sight to ourselves, but it certainly helps us to realize we may be called upon to help our nephew in our retired time in the future.

2016 SSR: Aug 25th 2016, 4:26:35 PM CDT, Birmingham, Alabama 33n31:14, 086w48:09 MC 06,36 Lib.

Note mundo Pluto 1,33 cnj Asc for stunning/shocking circumstances. Then note the how her SSR Moon is aspected with Mars-Saturn-Neptune—very nasty.

Have you looked at the child's chart to see his 6th house of illness? I know it is not usual for sidereal to look into houses, but it might help anyway.

I do hope that the baby will come out of the fever ok and soon.
My wish is with the child and the parents that he is not autistic, even though having beginners difficulties around his birth.

That would be a futile and misleading approach. That's not where health issues appear, other than in the sense that strong aspects in the immediate background are generally indicators of health problems. But not just the 6th, and not in the non-background parts of the 6th.

The child was born November 23, 2014, 2:57 PM, Birmingham, AL. (Did I reconstruct that correctly, Steve?)

[old chart no longer exists]

Looking at this chart, I see a double Scorpio (as part of a Scorpio stellium) with Mars about 5° from the MC and the only other planet at all foreground is Uranus. Clearly, Mars (and, perhaps even more specifically) Scorpionic energies are the most dominant factors in the horoscope, We would expect Mars themes to run rampant through the whole length and breadth of his life (and so, for example, there is no surprise that his first health crisis is a fever).

He's also a fighter!

One interesting pattern is that his Uranus-Pluto square is tied into the Vertex. This suggests that there are "out of the blue," unexpected things that would tend to blindside him. In fact, Uranus is only 0°43' from being due east, i.e., within a degree of being exactly on the Prime Vertical itself. It's hardly difficult to think of him, from a medical point of view, as needing to be treated as a medical abnormality (a nice Uranus-Pluto word), with a need to watch out for surprises and unusual conditions.

So let's look at the aspects...

Uranus-Pluto is one of the two closest aspects. I've just addressed that. It probably has the most impact on his health other than the dominant Mars theme overall. Pluto is also involved in the closest aspect, a semisquare to Saturn. This indicates a need (and ability) to struggle.

I don't know that any other aspects have anything much to say about his health. There is one aspect I'd like to think is involved, but I don't want to raise false hopes on little information: The moderately wide Moon-Jupiter trine in the horoscope is actually a close, tight Moon-Jupiter square in the Mundoscope. There are some indications that mundane aspects have import in a nativity, but the evidence isn't solid enough to count on. If it were valid, it would mean he has a guardian angel of sorts - an extra blessing to come through this as if protected. But I can't swear to that, and mention it mostly for study purposes.

Yes, basically what I told my wife, and try not to make him mad when she starts babysitting for him. <g>

Yes, very interesting.

Yes, I noted this, usually manifests as some type of burden and at times can be a heavy burden.
