American singer and recording artist. In 1958 she dropped out of Boston University in order to sing and play guitar in coffee houses. Her LP, "Joan Baez," 1960, was one of the most successful female folk albums in history. With a voice resembling a silver flute, she stressed protest songs in the '60s. In 1965, she founded the Institute for the Study of Non-Violence. In the '70s and '80s, Baez was the self-appointed conscience of America, giving concerts and working for nonviolent political causes. She churned up a controversy when she traveled to North Vietnam.

Her Natal siginature is clearly mundo Neptune 00,33 cnj Dsc, squaring Venus. Some Ebertin words about Venus-Neptune:
Psychological Correspondence: great receptivity for beauty, art and music, high ideals, artistic interests. Peculiar desires and objectives. Sociological Correspondence: Artists, musicians, mystics, dreamers and visionaries.
Partile aspects: Moon-Mars 180, Moon-Mercury 135, Moon-Pluto 60, Mercury-Mars 45, Mars-Pluto 120. I find it interesting she was a champion of Non-Violence and stressed protest songs in the revolution of the 60’s with her partile Moon-Mars 180. Anyway, we can certainly see the intrinsic symbolic meanings of the planets through Sidereal Astrology with her Natal Chart.

What an awesome line about a Sagittarius! (And, at that, one with a Taurus Moon.)
Her Natal siginature is clearly mundo Neptune 00,33 cnj Dsc, squaring Venus.
Yes. This pegs her. (Along with her luminary signs: As a Sagittarius-Taurus she was practically America's guru. a true spiritual leader every bit as much as the better known Sagittarius gurus.)
I find it interesting she was a champion of Non-Violence and stressed protest songs in the revolution of the 60’s with her partile Moon-Mars 180.
I think the point is that it was a Taurus Moon. Her nature is one of peace, her means are those of activism. (And Pluto is partile trine-sextile into the Moon-Mars opposition.)
