Steve, I thought I'd spin this off from the other thread. Your current SSR (about 3/4 over and going into "mop-up") is a chart of extremes. It has remarkably, scintillatingly positive signs and, simultaneously, hard, severe signs. Do you have any feedback on the year thus far? What have been the main operating dynamics of the chart? How would you advise someone on a similar chart in the future?

BTW, since you wrote earlier that you thought recent events brought out some under-expressed parts of the SSR, I thought I'd look at your June 20 Anlunar to see if it actualized key parts of the SSR. It's not bad. Some of other charts (like the Demi-SLR) are way better, but the Anlunar does seem to have drawn out by angularity the right symbolism. Placing it around the SSR:

I did that as an experiment this year, and marked the dates in my phone. So far, they really haven't impressed me, although in THEORY they should filter important SSR unfoldings.

This one was accurate in the sense of Mars and Saturn being most angular for a bad event. However, they weren't close enough to shout "this is a big one!" and the foreground aspects (I didn't list) were mixed at best (I think it was Mercury to Venus and Mercury to Mars - not impressive).

I have two more Anlunar targeted for the year: August 7 with an unusually strong Sun-Venus (on a Venus-dominant SSR), then September 3 with Mars-Neptune. I think I'll stay in town for the latter as a real test of how important the Anlunar is (I'm expecting it to be a dud and hope it doesn't go out of its way to prove me wrong).

I hear you Jim. I am sure at one point in my many years of studying Sidereal Astrology I tested Anlunars with my life but have forgotten. Since I can’t recall any importance attached to them, I can concur with your conclusions about em Jim.

Here's one small look at Anlunars I did late last year that were better than I'm used to seeing and mixed - some looked pretty good, some didn't.

Here's a summary of Garth Allen's (I think very interesting) article on the astrological patterns in the JFK murder with some mention of Anlunars (which he praised in this article, though I'm not crazy about the chart): viewtopic.php?f=19&t=179&p=1190

But I guess I don't have a more sizeable study here on Anlunars. Next year, when writing the new book on prediction, I'm hoping to do side-by-side comparisons of each of these charts for the same hundred violent events to be able to rank them in relative importance.

For now, I look at Anlunars periodically, I think that in principle they should give us timing of the SSR year, I'm watching my own "outstanding" ones this year as another kind of test, and I'm overall not very impressed with them.

July 2 1985 Demi-Anlunar showed good symbolism with Venus-Mercury- Saturn holding the primary angles. t Saturn partile cnj my Natal ASC.
