Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman)

John Chapman, who earned the nickname "Johnny Appleseed," was born September 26, 1774 in Leominster, MA. There is no record of his birth time.

I propose a time of 2:24 PM LMT. This is based on a single event, his death March 18, 1845 in Fort Wayne, IN. Transits, secondary progressions, and solar arc directions zero in on this date, but the SLR two days earlier is boring - which casts doubt on the time.

What I like about this rectification especially is that Pluto is rising. I can think of nothing that better describes this [ironically] rootless, wandering eccentric (as people saw him). Jupiter on IC seems to fit, too (even more if we take the "roots" theme of IC. His dual missions and general life philosophy seem to me well represented by the triple feature of Pluto rising, Jupiter on IC, and a Jupiter-Pluto foreground mundane square.

And, of course, he was a Virgo, the constellation that started agriculture in the Neolithic age, and had a triple Sun-Mercury-Saturn conjunction in Virgo. Moon entered Gemini about noon on his birthday and, while I could have accepted either a Taurus or Gemini Moon on principle, it looks like it fell in Gemini.
