Sec. of Defense Hagel has just announced that the U.S. has determined that Syria has been using chemical weapons against its own citizens. (England, France, and Israel had previously announced similar conclusions.)

This is significant especially because Pres. Obama had previously indicated that such a finding could trigger U.S. military intervention in Syria.

We are within 24 hours of a critical astrological event involving the current Cansolar. First, we are in a period when a progressed Mars-Pluto square in the Cansolar is at 0°00' orb. Second, yesterday was the day of transiting Neptune's square to the SQ Cansolar Ascendant. (I previously cited both of these events on this site.)

The July 16 Cansolar itself has Neptune precisely rising for Washington (and Venus on the IC). For Damascus, it has Mars half a degree from the IC, half a degree from square Pluto, and closely opposite Uranus (which is within 2° of the MC). The chart is loaded with explosive violence and bloodshed, and that's substantially what we've had since last summer.

Right this hour, the progressed Cansolar has Mars square Pluto within 0°00'38" (and, of course, this aspect is on the Syrian angles). Neptune's square to the Q2 Cansolar Ascendant for Washington, DC was exact yesterday. Syria, in turn, has Q2 Cansolar Descendant precisely conjunct ingress Saturn.

Just to take a look at the weekly portents, the Liblunar set up a few hours ago. For Damascus, Uranus is precisely on the Easpoint (and Mercury and Pluto are more widely foreground: There is a partile Moon-Mercury-Pluto mundane T-square 4° off the angles for Damascus: They have to "face the music" on this new information.) For DC, Jupiter is on the Westpoint.

With the involvement of Neptune, what are the chances that public deception is involved?

I examined this HuffPost article:

and it looks like the text does not support the headline. I notice the quote "U.S. intelligence has concluded 'with some degree of varying confidence...' " Now, that's an extremely ambiguous statement. I can make out of it, if I wanted to, that some evaluations could be low probability and other evaluations could be even lower! I fail to see words or phrases like "high probability," "near certainty," or "undoubtedly."

I want to avoid any kind of ideological or political partisanship, and stick to an astrological analysis to understand what's really going on. But I pose the question for discussion: Are we being lied into a war again?

NY Times followed up with a remark that there are varying degrees of certainty on the matter in various parts of the U.S. government.

I can't think of a time when Neptune in this sort of chart meant deception. (Of course, I might be deceived in that assessment <g>.) Generally it means hysteria, anxiety, worry; and, if we indulge in "thingish thought" for a self-indulgent moment, it shows for chemical spills and other "chemical" matters (though maybe that's just a variation of the public hysteria aspect).

England, Israel, and France had already said they'd confirmed this. The U.S. was late to the game. I talked to a senior White House aide this morning who reminded me that these things are slowly, quietly planned in the background, and going public is either (1) when they have no other good choice or (2) when it is politically advantageous to make the announcement. - So, one might wonder what was happening on The Hill this morning that was going to grab a headline instead. (It surely was something bigger than the opening of the Bush Library.)

So far, the event that took place which best describes, imo, the symbolism for the DC 2012 Cansolar was the sneak (Neptune) attack on our Embassy in Benghazi on 9/11/12. This attack, imo, caused much ‘hysteria, anxiety, worry’ and confusion (Neptune) for our officials in DC and our officials in Benghazi. However, I did not see any prominent timing symbolism except for the Sept 9th SLR (Saturn in the anaereta degree) located to Benghazi, but still, Neptune, was the main ‘theme’ for this DC Cansolar, backed-up with the Mars-Uranus-Pluto T-Square.
