Joseph Biden
Re: Joseph Biden
Does the sign of progressed Moon have any particular relevance per se? I don't think I've seen it mentioned before.

Re: Joseph Biden
I've mentioned it here or there on the site. It seems to Mark an overly for two to three years
The most recent humorous example is thst Marion, who is not very interested in cosmetics, became an account rep for a perfume company in fashion-minder department stores when progressed Moon went into Libra.
My early life was start studying astrology with progressed Moon in Virgo, puppy love in Libra, sex and going crazy in Scorpio, could read Rudhyar for the first time in Sagittarius, etc.

On April 22, the Supreme Court will hear the matter of Trump's claim of immunity from prosecution. At a minimum, this will delay his criminal trial two months. Possibly they won't issue a decision until the end of June. That decision could be connected to these events.

Re: Joseph Biden
Today, Pres. Biden's progressed Moon entered Aries.
He came into office with progressed Moon in Aquarius and his first year in office might indeed be framed as an Aquarian period. Then, in late December 2021, his progressed Moon slid into Pisces. It's easy to see that there have been increasing problems for him - including people characterizing him increasingly as somehow foggy (and other Piscean themes).
Now it has crossed over to his natal Moon sign, Aries. Will we see a quick change of behavior and primary themes? We shall see...

Well that's interesting. Saw that he would consider dropping out if a "health condition arises" earlier today.

Maybe they are setting up for his exit.

Hi, Alinda. Yes, 8y immediately crossed my mind that this was preparing for an exit.

Re: Joseph Biden
There have been several proposed off-ramps for a graceful exit, and this is yet another one for him. There's also "things are crazy right now and I need to focus on being president and not campaigning," or "I have done some reflection and want to pass the torch on to the next generation of leaders," or "I have an undisclosed health issue," or even "I need to resign the office of the presidency due to (any aforementioned reason), so Kamala Harris is your new president effective immediately."
Re: Joseph Biden
It would also be really interesting if Harris inherited the presidency within the next 4 months, and that enabled her to preserve the succession pattern by getting (re?)-elected.

Re: Joseph Biden
That doesn't change the math, though. Trump "qualifies" by matching the Scorpio luminary of Biden as second predecessor, and Vance doesn't match anybody.
At no point gave I said Trump wins except perhaps paired with the one sure thing: Biden loses.
Astrologically, Biden loses for sure, Harris has a realistic chance of winning, and Trump, as usual has one shocking, head-spinnibg turn-over after another and feels incredibly unhappy in January

The classified documents case got pushed back to December, last I heard - so if Trump doesn't manage to win, he is almost certainly miserable over that come January.

Re: Joseph Biden
Mostly, I've been saying that I expect Joe to withdraw from the race before this weekend is over. On the other hand, see the Liblunar forecast I just wrote for the week immediately before the Democratic National Convention: https://www.solunars.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=8789
I'm still working on this forecast - haven't finished the Biden lunar returns yet - but the first draft of the lunar ingresses (including the Liblunar) is done. I was surprised how it developed. I think it's a pivotal week in Washington and perhaps for this exact topic. (Biden's concurrent Demi-SLR is pretty severe.)

Re: Joseph Biden
I have some time now to take a look at this. First, he dropped out with a 0°10' Mercury-Uranus square in space and did manage to surprise people. Several other things in the chart for the moment including a separating Moon-Pluto conjunction coming off a Full Moon aligned with Pluto.Jim Eshelman wrote: Sun Jul 21, 2024 12:28 pm Today, 7/21/24 at 1:45 PM EDT, just as a matching announcement went public on X, Pres. Biden told his senior staff he was withdrawing from the presidential race and endorsing Vice President Harris. [Reheboth Beach, DE]
All outer planet transits had moved away at the time he made his decision. (Perhaps he needed all the outside input to stop?) Mars had nearly left the opposition to his Venus (having been on his Sun-Venus for a few days). There were no simple transits of note at all.
His solar arcs told the story we knew they would tell: As Pluto has been transiting his Moon on and off, directed Pluto was opposite his Moon. Directed Saturn was 14' from square his Ascendant (11' past square his Uranus). Saturn and Pluto directed to personal points tells the main story - directed Asc to natal Sun and Moon to natal Pluto are more than a year away - at reached a Saturn-Pluto end.
Progressed Moon was 5°08' Aries, important because transiting Pluto was 5°49' Capricorn.
So the broad life-strokes - identifying the tone of the general period of his life - showed things coming to an end. Even his Dasa chain begins with the Saturn major eighteen and a half year Saturn period that began in January 2022 - with the Saturn-Saturn bhukti running through December 30, 2024 - and is now Saturn-Saturn-Uranus-Moon (since July 16) then, yesterday, a brief two-day Saturn-Saturn-Uranus-Moon-Jupiter.
Coming to his solunars, we all know about his current SSR (which set up in Washington) that has two foreground Neptunes and a Moon-Saturn square - Neptune-Neptune-Saturn is quite clear. (Iv PVP aspects work in return chart, SSR Moon also aspects both Neptunes.)
I don't trust demi-solars and this event is another great example of why: His Demi-SSR had natal Jupiter tightly angular and two transiting benefics. Nope! Keep ignoring this method.
His June 30 SLR set up in Washington in the immediate aftermath of the debate and shows what has come down the road since then: Transiting Saturn 0°36' from Descendant - transiting Saturn and Neptune foreground - and natal Saturn foreground. This time it was two Saturns and a Neptune.
His July 14 demi-lunar primarily shows attack, with transiting Mars-Uranus on WP-a (and both opposite his Mercury mundanely). The two Marses were the most angular. (He caught Covid-19.)
Do quotidians narrow the day? His SNQ has right symbolism with transiting Moon opposite progressed Pluto on the Zenith-Nadir line, while transiting Pluto squared progressed Moon (mentioned above). His SQ (as StarAgeWiz mentioned, in part, elsewhere) was quite a showpiece for Rehoboth Beach:
23°41' Tau - SQ Asc
23°57' Aqu - t Saturn
24°05' Aqu - SQ Moon
2°42' Sco - s Mars
3°32' Sco - r/s Sun
4°18' Sco - SQ Sun
4°42' Sco - r Venus
4°54' Tau - SQ EP-a
5°41' Tau - t Mars
5°42' Aqu - s Saturn
To check a few minor collateral charts:
ENNEAD. This occurred yesterday (7:05 PM) and is calculated for Rehoboth Beach. Mostly it's boring or misleading with the most angular planet being transiting Sun (most angular and conjunct his Jupiter). But Pluto's square to natal Moon at least reaches into the foreground, so it's not terrible.
NLR. This occurred about two and a half hours before he tweeted his decision. Neptune opposite Neptune is angular and - with Moon aspects seeming to be a really big deal in these charts - Moon conjoins Pluto and opposes Sun. Good symbolism!
DEMI-ANLUNAR (July 10, Washington). Transiting Saturn on MC is closest. Sun squares solar Neptune.
KINETIC DEMI-LUNAR (July 14, Washington). Transiting Saturn exactly (!) setting.
There's been a lot of pressure on him!
PS - Anybody know where Kamala was today? With him? White House? On the road?
LATER - I think she was in Washington. She's headed to Milwaukee tomorrow in what is called her first campaign stop since the announcement, so she wasn't likely on the road today.

Re: Joseph Biden
To be fair, he did command a great deal of attention for this, and received a ton of positive recognition for his choice. That seems reasonable to me. This may have been a personal sacrifice and "defeat" for him, but he is swimming in good will now.Jim Eshelman wrote: Sun Jul 21, 2024 4:06 pm ENNEAD. Biden's 2024 SSR - a fresh look
I noted earlier that looking at Biden's SSR not with the question of "Will he win?" (since he is no longer running) but as a simple "What's next?" chart makes some things look different. We've known it's a bad chart - comparable to his Saturn-Neptune-Neptune 2023 SSR - but not that seems more to show his own diminishing condition more than the outcome of a competition.
I'd say "idiot that I am" for missing something... except I haven't heard anyone else bringing it up either... but maybe (just maybe) he'll spend his birthday at his beach house in Rehoboth Beach. This seems even more likely as he's winding down.
Since I had never looked, I'd never seen that... so small a change makes a big difference in the balance of things!
His SSR will occur November 20, 2024, 8:12:34 AM EST. Here's the chart for Washington:
t Mercury Asc -8°16'
t Jupiter Dsc -4°23'
r Neptune MC -2°20'

t Saturn N +0°27'

t Neptune sq r Saturn

Possibly the Moon-Mars should be deemed even closer in that (out of the foreground but tied into the solar Moon axis) transiting Mars is 0°09' from square natal Moon (mundo).

However, here is the same chart for Rehoboth Beach, Delaware:

While it's hardly the best SSR I've ever seen, the difference is considerable - to his advantage.
