Normally, I find Sun-Mercury lunars to be boring - that is, neutral, not as dramatic as many that we see - but the symbolism is great for intellectual flourishing and a chance to stand in the spotlight for your thoughts and ideas.
Better yet, you avoided that Mars-Saturn being on angles! (Your natal Mars on Descendant hasn't seemed to get in your way.)

Out of the ordinary stimulating communications for the Sun-Mercury on several fronts but the main one the forum.
Nasty blood-blister infection on the ball of my foot limiting my mobility but no big deal, no ideal how this wound came about. Agitation for having to wait so long to see a foot doc. Appointment Wed the 17th. Somewhat worried about this wound with an angular Mars-Neptune (infections) SLR coming-up on April 26.(Your natal Mars on Descendant hasn't seemed to get in your way.)
Re: My April 12 "outstanding incident" Demi-Lunar!!!
Dear goodness Steve! That sounds yucky. Why on earth can you not go to urgent care to treat your wound!?? You could be septic and a gentleman your age doesnt need a full body blood infection like that! Even your primary dr could treat a wound/infection. I hope you are on the mend asap!!SteveS wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:02 am Out of the ordinary stimulating communications for the Sun-Mercury on several fronts but the main one the forum.Nasty blood-blister infection on the ball of my foot limiting my mobility but no big deal, no ideal how this wound came about. Re: My April 12 "outstanding incident" Demi-Lunar!!!
I know the feeling: My demi next weekend is Mars, Saturn, and Neptune all to my Moon on angles. I had a beautiful Denver chart picked out (and only $49 air fare) and now won't be able to go due to a work requirement. I'm not sure the Venus (in KC) SLR underlying it will carry me through without getting sick or some such thing (lots of stuff going around).SteveS wrote: Mon Apr 15, 2024 12:02 am Somewhat worried about this wound with an angular Mars-Neptune (infections) SLR coming-up on April 26.

Re: My April 12 "outstanding incident" Demi-Lunar!!!
Almost entirely. Riding the edge of thinking I'm getting sick (I'm certain it's allergies, since it went away when I went to KC and Phoenix, and came back each time I returned to LA.) Low energy makes me a little irritable. But that's all small.
But for fun, look at my next Demi for the Denver airport. Venus minutes from an angle is exactly opposite my Sun. That would be doubly sweet, bit I think I can't be back in time for my work commitment 4 pm Friday.

My bigger concern with Mars, Saturn, and Neptune to Moon on angles is tissue rejection after my recent transplant. So far (almost four months in), no sign of that at all, and probably no sign ever... but one has to be mindful of that possibility.

I surely understand Jim!! Keep us informed.
Re: My April 12 "outstanding incident" Demi-Lunar!!!
I have been using the words “outstanding incident” for certain structured Return Charts and other Charts, but I think better words to use are “out of the ordinary”. On 3 different main fronts, I am definitely going through an “out of the ordinary” Sun-Mercury cycle with my April 12 demi-lunar posted in a preceding post in this thread. Its all relative to the context of one’s individual life with what they are experiencing in their immediate environments.
Re: My April 12 "outstanding incident" Demi-Lunar!!!
How interesting Steve. Can you detail your thought process that led you to this new understanding?
As a person with a strong Pluto ergie, when ever I read your term "outstanding" incident, my mind thought of little Pluto way out in our system and a joke my Leo friend would make about going to stand outside so she could be "outstanding"

If you'd like a single word to mean exactly what "out of the ordinary means, you could use extraordinary.

When I first started broadening my studies of astrology with CompuServe back in the 90s, I ran across a named I remembered from Jim’s book “Interpreting Solar Returns”, Matthew Quellas, who Jim mentioned as a colleague. I was able to make contact with Matthew and my first line of questioning to Matthew was about Jim’s “outstanding incident” Solar Return charts. Matthew in his own sphere was a brilliant astrologer and he was able to spend a lot of time teaching me Sidereal Astrology because he just had a leg amputated and was all alone in a small apartment living on workman’s comp.
Matthew told me he was well aware of Jim’s teachings for “outstanding incident” Return Charts but told me he liked the words “out of the ordinary” better than “outstanding” because he felt it better described for the native what to understand and prepare for within the context of one’s individual life of: What’s going on. After Matthew understood certain circumstances involving my life, he encouraged me to run experiments by telling my friends, family, colleagues as an astrologer I could at times tell em when an “out of ordinary” experience would occur in their lives mainly using “out of the ordinary” SLRs, relative to what’s going on in their lives. So, this is basically all I did with my Astrology practice, and my friends, family, colleagues came to respect my knowledge of foretelling “out of the ordinary” incidents for then with their individual lives. They are always asking me: Do you see anything unusual coming up with my charts, for they know my passion in my retirement is doing some type of astrology every day of my life. This “knowledge” originated from Jim and was expanded to me by Matthew teachings, Matthew became my private astrological Tudor for the finer points in the field of Sidereal astrology.
Yes V, excellent question, it involves certain specific details, I will do my best to explain but many times my choice of words are poor explanations. I must go back to my life in 1987 to offer some context how I got attached to the words “outstanding incident” which are taken from Jim’s book “Interpreting Solar Returns, where he says:How interesting Steve. Can you detail your thought process that led you to this new understanding?
I got into astrology for the primary purpose to better understand myself through my Natal Chart, and of equal importance to be able to look out into the future an be able to isolate time frames when something “outstanding” was going to happen relative to one immediate environment. “Immediate environment” meaning: “what’s going on?” I studied Tropical Astrology for about 10 years, and I never proved any method of Tropical Astrology which satisfied my mind for when something significant (outstanding" was going to happen in life, I was sorely disappointed with Tropical Astrology explaining to me the "outstanding" high points or low points times in life.It is when angularity and aspect partile (one degree or less) coincide that outstanding incidents are most likely to come about.

Re: My April 12 "outstanding incident" Demi-Lunar!!!
Several weeks ago, I issued a World Red Flag warning to my friends/ family concerning certain possible malefic Sidereal Astrology charts Jim was posting about, and they started seeing the manifestations of these World Red Flag warnings when Iran announced to the World they were going to launch a major bombing attack on Israel as well as DCs reactions. This has timed in my life a flurry of “out of the ordinary” Sun- Mercury activity from my friends and family with my “out of the ordinary” Sun Mercury April 12 Demi-Lunar posted in this thread. So, bottom line: For sure my “out of ordinary” April 12 Demi- Lunar Sun-Mercury has definitely timed in my life a heavy does of communication going on with friends/family. I will discuss later what is happening in an “out of ordinary” Jupiter-Jupiter way with a dear friend and former colleague of mine. Where I usually only hear from him once every couple of weeks, he is calling me every day for the last several days with the potential of one of the best Jupiter (out of the ordinary) things to ever happen in his entire life, a possible dream come true. Through these many years knowing me as a close friend, he is well aware of the words “outstanding” for return charts. He has been looking forward to his May 6 “outstanding/out of the ordinary” SLR for the last 18 months, but he has gone through hell to make it to this Jupiter-Jupiter time frame. He told me if it had not been for me telling him about this Jup-Jup time frame months ago he would not have reacted to certain things in the manner he normally would have reacted. In other words it has been proven to me these "outstanding-out of the ordinary" return charts immensely help people to be aware with a higher consciousness of managing the things going on in their immediate environments. These “out of ordinary” return charts are unique and rare and teach a certain timing patience weather they are malefic of benefic. They have taught me through other peoples “out of the ordinary” return charts, that at times in life things get the darkest right before a huge opportunity takes place, something to do with “the darkest before the dawn.” I will try to post details of what my friend has been going through the last couple of years—later. V, if I have not answered your questions about “outstanding or out of the ordinary” return charts, let me know, but I have tried to offer my best for the processes of my thinking with my many years of practice with these type return charts. To me they are invaluable and I think for Jim too, otherwise why did Jim write about em? For sure, Matthew my early Sidereal Astrology teacher though they were important for the astrologer to understand and know about for other clients/natives.

V, I hear you. Don’t get me wrong, we can all feel “outstanding” which is Jim’s word without an “outstanding” return chart. But, at times in our life there are unique rare return charts which calculate an actual “outstanding—out of the ordinary” time frame in one’s life. IMHO, it is these times one’s consciousness needs to try and perk-up of “what’s going on" in their immediate environments. It offers a true sense of awe there are timing influences in our lives that were meant to be, and discussing these “out of ordinary” timing influences with a Sidereal astrologer can help a friend, family, or client to certain higher consciousness ways to better manage their immediate living environments of "what's going-on.As a person with a strong Pluto ergie, when ever I read your term "outstanding" incident, my mind thought of little Pluto way out in our system and a joke my Leo friend would make about going to stand outside so she could be "outstanding"

I I hear you Steve, thank you. Those Jupiter to Jupiter times are good to have and it was kind of you to share seeing that in your friends chart most people are truly so busy that they are swamped and dont have time to stay current with all tools and techniques we have.

Exactly V. Sidereal Astrology is not an easy branch of astrology to learn/understand. When I first read Jim’s book “Interpreting Solar Returns, there was so much I didn’t understand. I knew no other Sidereal Astrologer to ask questions for better understanding. But I understood enough to go back into my life and look at what Jim was teaching in his book and was so impressed that I had finally discovered a true branch of astrology which explained/defined important incidents in my life. I proved to myself what Jim was teaching was true, whereas I could not do the same by studying 10 years of conventional Tropical Astrology.…most people are truly so busy that they are swamped and dont have time to stay current with all tools and techniques we have.
