Hi Jim. I'm moving to the metro D.C. area. My goal is to work in D.C. and live (preferably) in NOVA, but might also live in Maryland depending on housing prices. I don't regret coming to New Orleans because at the time I moved, I really did need a change in pace, like, to slow down, rest, heal myself, re-evaluate myself and my life, and work on myself, and I did that. I got saved and am closer to Jesus now, and that has given me peace and joy even in moments of unhappiness, and this change is more powerful than anything has made me feel in my entire life. I discovered a trauma release exercises to work on my anxieties, and I've been consistent at going to the gym. I got saved in 2022 a few months after moving here, but did not really get close to Jesus until March of this year. I also started my exercises in March too, and April is when I decided I want to move from here.
I'm very relaxed here, to the point I'm not ambitious, and it is not the kind of energy I want to be in for the longterm. I also feel invisible here. But I think it is the culture too? The culture is very laid back, and it is not very transplant friendly, and cliquey. I also feel like I'm judged when I speak because I sound different and "educated" and I'm different. That guy from Baton Rouge who kicked to the curb even told me I talk funny and that he is used to women who sound different and are different lol. Whatever dude. Bye. You don't have a job anyway.
So anyway, I do not regret moving here because I feel I received life saving, long lasting, impactful things I can take to my new life in a new place. I'm glad I moved here at the time because this is what I needed. Now I'm ready to move back to the east coast. I don't feel as confident, ambitious, focused, like I did on the east coast, and I do not connect with these people down here at all, whereas on the east coast, I connect with people deeply, and much easier. I miss that, and how confident and ambitious I was there, but I am a better person now, so I'm ready to go back, but not to MA. To the metro D.C. area where the weather is not as bad and where I can meet new people.
I have some questions whenever you have the time. What are my midpoints in D.C. metro area (nova and maryland too)? And what do you think of what I've said, like is it surprising or does it match the lines/transits/solar return?
Last question but is astrocartography considered astrology? I ask because Christians tell me I shouldn't do this but I thought astrocartography was more so science and mathematics since it's calculations and latitude etc., things that can be seen and that we know is there. But I'd love to hear your thoughts on all of this.

Re: I've decided I'm moving again
I am so happy to hear from you and that you're doing well. It seems the kindness of the area (for you personally) has been very helpful. It also seems the solar return trip - locking in that angular Venus - has been quite good to you.
In moving to DC, you will have astrological conditions similar to those under which you were born. The only thing that seems off in what you are saying (and this could be me mis-remembering) is that I thought a major reason you wanted to move from the East Coast was because you couldn't connect to people there. I might be remembering that wrong.
Anyway... glad it's been good... life altering in a very positive way.
I don't think the midpoints are all that important in relocation, but they have some importance. In any case, I'm happy to give you the midpoints involving angles that you will have in DC. (If you want to see distinctions of any other location nearby, please feel free to ask.)
As = Mo/Ve -0°00'
MC = Mo/Su +0°51'
Ma = Pl/MC -0°06'
Sa = Ma/MC -0°09'
Ve = Ur/MC -0°53'
Mostly, these are quite positive, including bringing some of the Venus quality of NOLA with you. (You'll have that until your next birthday anyway, because of your Venus-dominant solar return. - A couple of these are harsher, verging on brutal but (given the generally positive trend of all of them) are probably only more arduous, re-engaging the sense of work and effort you want to re-engage.
Different Christians have different religious views on this matter. I won't tell you what to believe (lol, that would be foolish) and do want to say that some Christians think of astrology as fortune telling and contrary to their religion and some do not. The creator of the Time Matters astrology software we give away on this site (Mike Nelson aka Mikestar13) was one of the most deeply committed Christians I've known and also deeply connected to astrology: He saw no real separation: He thought both astrology and is personal religious experience expressed the same divine plan.
You, of course, have to come to your own conclusion regarding how this sits with your own personal relationship with Christ.
In any case, I'm really glad you've had such a wonderful year and are soon off on a new adventure.

I'll come back in the next answer to the recent developments, but yes, I think it's quite a good fit to having a solar return with Venus exactly angular opposite your natal Jupiter rising. This plus living where you have Venus precisely angular is very descriptive of the love, peace, and what sounds like a psychologically "safe space" since you moved there.rcooke13 wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 8:17 am I have some questions whenever you have the time. Yes, this is astrology. I can understand the unclarity, though, because around here we regard astrology as science and treat it as such. Re: I've decided I'm moving again
You've begun a roughly two-year period of your life when Pluto will square your Ascendant. This is a time when life changes significantly, especially in terms of what we consider our roots and deepest foundations. It is the first phase of a longer transformative process - taking some initial steps, setting things in motion that will need time to settle in and ripen - before Phase 2 in about five years (I'm estimating) when Pluto will spend several years crossing your IC, Sun, and Moon. You have a long period of self-discovery and self-uncovering ahead of you over the next decade, and it's already begun.rcooke13 wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 8:17 am I got saved in 2022 a few months after moving here, but did not really get close to Jesus until March of this year. I also started my exercises in March too, and April is when I decided I want to move from here.
The followed the "just make a sharp change NOW!" of transiting Uranus opposite your Pluto for the last two years.
March and April had Jupiter oppose your Pluto also. This is complicated in the number of things it can mean, but they all seem to boil down to blessings and gain from letting go of someone or something. "Benefit from separation" is how a lot of writers speak of this. I suspect you can find a lot of that in the things that matured or began in March-April. (Progressed Moon opposed your Pluto at the same time. It was always "scheduled" to be a transition point for you.)
And solar arc Jupiter is on your Sun-MC. This is simply blessing. Good things. A sense of benevolence and generosity in the world. This can certainly include religious feelings. Solar arc Uranus reached your Moon at the same time, so I would expect a sense of opening you to new things, circumstances that require you to rapidly adapt to new circumstances, or some sort of enlightenment or discovery. All of these solar arc matters have been building for a year and coming to a year right about now and the near future (Jupiter-Sun is exact in for months, Uranus-Moon in about five months).
I'd look at 2022 but I don't know what month that might have been. I do note that this happened soon after you moved to a place where you had Venus exactly angular. Love, peace, and beauty would likely have become stronger themes.

Lol I had to go back and re-read what I said about MA. Yeah, at the time I wrote that when I was living in MA, I was in a specific community where I was popular in for a while and then I kept getting betrayed by seemingly jealous, evil people over a course of a few years, and it left me with only a few true friends after that. Even right now I am questioning the few from there that I have now. I was also working at a job with a coworker who I dated who was a jerk and the coworkers were untrust worthy and sneaky. The people in MA are also mass holes and grumpy. And the culture sucks. But even with all that, I was still able to make deep connections with people, was more confident and ambitious, and popular for a while before things hit the fan. I figured if I moved to DC instead of MA where I was, I can be in weather and a culture that doesn't suck, and meet a new community, and have deep connections again, but with a new community this time. I'm hoping I was just in a state that wasn't for me. But it seems like the lines in the east coast made me have deeper connections with people and make me more popular. Down here, I can't even make any real deep friends or meet men like I did up there. It's not the same at all. Do you think it was the lines? And is DC solar for me?
The several years of pluto on ic is very scary, wow. That sucks. I was hoping to get married and have kids, but can't see that happening with pluto ic in the picture.
I left MA around June 10 2022, and I got saved around October 8 2022.

don't be afraid of Pluto. It's like a snake shedding a skin... natural growth that leaves the old shell of your life behind. Very natural as it happens.
I don't think Sun was foreground in DC. I'll look more later.

Oh wow that surprises me. I remember when we talked about Charlotte, Charlotte was solar, but the sun line looks to be closer to DC than it is to Charlotte.

Your Sun is 12°24' Capricorn. Your IC in Durham is 12°20' Capricorn (that's where it's really strong!) and in Charlotte 10°26' Capricorn (still quite strong).rcooke13 wrote: Fri May 17, 2024 5:39 amOh wow that surprises me. But it's also strong in DC. (The first report I saw missed this, sorry.) IC is 14°10' Capricorn so it's approximately as strong as in Charlotte (on the other side).
Thanks for catching this and correcting me. I must have put in something wrong. Your angularities in Washington are stronger for Sun and Moon. It might indeed be a place for you to shine more and feel more in control of your direction. Pluto is slightly strong there (the major Pluto factors are the transits, not its angularity). Here are the DC angles with planets' actual distances in parentheses:
12°24' Cap - r Sun (+1°49')
IC 14°10' Can - Washington MC [Sun/Moon midpoint 15°01' Cap]
17°38' Cap - r Moon (-3°42')
8°28' Lib - Washington Asc
23°01' Lib - r Pluto (7°50')
Primarily solar and lunar.
