Sun Uranus Neptune

Post by Lyse »

Often, I’ve had some difficulty understanding the Sun-Uranus 90° Neptune aspect in my natal but yesterday, an odd encounter shed some light on how it operates day to day. Reflecting on my life, these type of experiences happen often and they always give me a buzz.

As we left the supermarket yesterday, a man of about 45 walked up and stopped in front of us, gave a wide smile and stated, ‘Ahh, The Lovers’ and then continued on his way.

It was a shock as it was random and a bit out there but he was good looking, friendly and not frightening in any way. Later, wanting my husband’s perspective, I asked him what his take was. He said that he’d heard his voice but didn’t pay any attention to what was said; he was too busy trying to navigate our way through an obstacle course of flower stalls.

Immediately, I began processing the encounter, feeling I had just had a mystical experience or a message from the cosmos, if you will, while my husband (Virgo Sun - Moon Capricorn), who is scientific, practical and steady, was focused on mundane matters like keeping us from tripping.

Wonderful anecdote :)

I get what you're saying. My Uranus-Neptune square isn't colored by Sun contacts that would personalize in the same way. Yet there is the same sense of... let's say mystical or mythical relevance (does that make sense?) that I sense in your tale.

Two of the bullet points I kept in my last research tour of natal Uranus-Neptune aspects are:
  • Sense the mythic power (the legend) of one's place in the universe: Needs to discern in clearly and embody the role.
  • Instinctively knows that life and reality are more mystical and inscrutable (or just plain weird!) than anyone ever told us.
On principle, I would have to expect that if these planets were aspecting Sun, they would seem more personal, they (for far-outer and impersonal planets) this always feels keenly personal to me.

Your Uranus-Neptune aspect is closer than mine and with your Moon in Aquarius, I’m guessing that’s why it’s more personal than having say, a Capricorn Moon?

Probably. Also, it gets a lot closer - and more personal - with relocation. Besides my partile Sun-Uranus (like Sun-Jupiter) paran at this latitude, my closest mundoscope aspects at this location include (the closest) a 0°10' Uranus-Neptune square (with Jupiter-Neptune 0°33'). But natally-ecliptically, they're all about 2°.
